I stayed at this hotels for 6 nights. Hotel staff was very polite and their English was good. The lounge and reception area look really nice and spacious. My room being a standard single one was small but very tidy and had a large bed, a nice desk in front of the window and a small well equipped bathroom with a bath. A window between the bedroom and the bathroom and a glass door did make the room feel airy and open. Surprisingly being in a huge city and a busy neighbourhood it was very quiet up in the room at night. The area around the hotel is great and very lively. Shinjuku station is within a 5 minutes walk so you can easily take a train or metro to anywhere you like in Tokyo. Across the street of the hotel there's a small convenient store. If you want to go out and eat, there are lots of nice restaurants and bars in the east of Shinjuku. Walking through the streets at night can be very entertaining. You'll never get bored because everywhere you look you see neon signs, young people all dressed up going to clubs and karaoke bars, salary man having a drink, dodgy night club owners, all kind of restaurants etc etc etc. Furthermore there are lots of department stores if you want to do some nice shopping. To sum up: I had a really great time at this hotel and would certainly go back if I was staying in Tokyo again. The Shinjuku area is worth a visit too.”
The hotel is centrally located, only a minute away from a subway station, and 3 stations from the main train station. As it's a region of businessmen, after 6pm the whole neighborhood is very silent and you hear no noise whatsoever in the room. Rooms seem recently renovated, and the decoration is sober and modern, with a 32" LCD TV in the room. Breakfast is good, with several options of bread, a salad, some meat (hamburger/sausages) and eggs (scrambled/boiled), coffee, milk, tea and juice. Recommended.”
Wij verbleven 3 nachten in het Kokusai hotel, het hotel ligt tegenover het prachtige Nijo kasteel en tuin. Kleine kamer”
A good Hotel, very clean en a beatiful spa. The big problem for a person like me that never use an elevator was that they have no escalators and I had to go anyway with the elevator!!.The people at the reception was very kind and they try to help in every thing you ask. Breakfat was served in the room but it was not good at all. Western breakfast was a kind of plastic small croissants, ham en something like a chicken nugget with potatos salad. The other choise was Japanese breakfast with sushi in the morning!! just terrible!. Every day we got clean kimonos, this was a nice service. Te location was perfect; near metro station and stores. Recomended anyway if you likes elevators”
Good hotel which gives great value for money. Comfortable room and bed, good breakfast can be provided, both Western and Japanese. Free Internet acces in the room. Centrally located to main attractions and good restaurants and convienient stores in the neighbourghoud. Easy acces with subway (exit 1 Karasuma-oike) one street away.”
