  Voor een korte overnachting dicht bij het vliegveld was dit een prima hotel. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Binnen 3 minuten te rijden en zeker met een GPS eenvoudig te vinden. Direct bij het hotel een 7-11 voor een eenvoudig ontbijtje (koffie en thee gratis op de kamer) en genoeg eenvoudig Thails eten in stalletjes (eten aanwijzen want alles Thais). Klein zwembadje, wel slechte douche.

  Goed hotel, beetje weg van de drukte, maar toch in de buurt van het uitgaansleven. Goede scooters te huur, zodat je prima richting Karon of Kata Beach kan rijden voor mooiere en rustigere stranden. Kortom prima hotel!

  We were very pleased with hotel Avista. At first we did not know what to expect as it was our first trip to Thailand. When we arrived at the hotel we were pleasantly suprised by the fantastic service of the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. They have a great way of making you feel very comfortable upon arrival. The room was very nice, modern and comfortable with a great view on the sea and the pool area. Breakfast was very good as well with a large variety of foods and fruits, they even have lunch for the early starters. Be sure to be on time as they close exactly at the given time. The pool is great as well, with a minibar where you can order cocktails. 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel is the Kata beach which is very nice (white sand and light blue water) and clean, but can be wild with continuous high waves, which was the case in this period. One thing that made our stay here more pleasant than it would else be, is that we had a rental car. Avista is situated on quite a steep hill and I can imagine that if I had to walk up the hill every time, my stay would be a lot less pleasant (On the other hand, when a tsunami hits phuket you are sure to be safe in hotel avista :) )
