Empire Landmark Hotel in Vancouver

Room on 21st floor had decent view of the ocean, mountains and city. The room was not in great shape, lamp shades were partially torn, alarm clock flashing with a layer of caked dust, water from sink would get VERY hot with no warning, etc. But you get what you pay for. It's on the low end for Vancouver. Concierge seemed rushed and terse (weekday). […] Poor service in Cloud 9 on a Friday night. We had a really good time at this hotel. It was close to downtown and Stanley park. We were also placed on the 35th floor with the most amazing view of the city! The downsides were an unhelpful staff who were rude at times and did not give helpful recommendations to food and attractions. The bathrooms were also much to be desired. This is a basic hotel with just a basic and clean room. However, view is spectacular and a great value for the view. Hotel has a slow rotating restaurant on the top (42th floor) that is great. Ambiance is great at the hotel however, the drinks are a bit expensive and too dilute for its cost. Location is very good - on Robson street, downtown Vancouver. Easy to find hotel from Robson street, hotel is high and bright light sign on top. View from hotel room is beautiful and nice if good weather. Old hotel, but clean and everything in room and lot of parking space, and free wi-fi. I found the Empire Landmark quaint - and the views from the rooms breathtaking! I would definately stay there again. Lovely.

The first room i was put into on the 20th floor was dated for sure, with the coffee pot not heating the water and the 1980's fixtures being not quite in good repair. Following a problem from another guest on the same floor in the middle of the night, which the security guard acted immediately to solve, i was moved to the 37th floor. Jock at the front desk is the perfect introduction to the Empire Landmark. This hotel, although on the older side, has had some renovations and is very comfortable. The room was great with coffee maker and fridge. I only stayed for a short time but was very comfortable and clean. Parking and WiFi were included - location is excellent.

I had a room on the 26th level facing Stanley Park. Most reviewers say that the hotel is in need of a facelift but truthfully it is not bad at all. I had a modern LCD TV in my room and the room looked pretty good too. The bathroom is a bit dated but it was clean. Booked online and got a really cheap rate. Hotel was fantastic value for money. Views from 36th floor amazing. 3 blocks to the park and 10 mins to heart of Vancouver. Highly recommend

If you are on a budget and wanting to stay close to downtown, this hotel may worth it. However, the maintenance is awful and the rooms are tiny.

I am from california. I never have rashes on my knee from the bad sheet that was big surprise. Very small room and parking extremely easy but they don't tell you that in the night how to get in and out. Front eddy service was horrible.

Great Location on Robson - near shopping and restaurants. View from the revolving restaurant was spectacular - although in the morning we wanted to have breakfast, but only offered a pricey buffet - would have been nice to have lighter option. Room was small, with a big TV - suited our needs. but could use a little re-freshing. Electrical outlets seemed […] unsafe. Shower ran warm and very hot - unable to control the temperature - had to keep jumping out of the way to avoid being burnt. Had an unexpected wake- up call at 3 AM in the form of a fire alarm. Great location but the pictures made the hotel seem nicer than it was. Bathroom was not so nice as well as the room. Beds weren't too comfortable either. Great place to stay if you are just looking for a place to sleep.

Ive been coming to the 'Couv for over a decade now and have stayed in many hotels. I have to say this was one of the most convenient stays ive had in Vancouver. I will totally come and stay again at the Empire Landmark!

Excellent 180 degree view English bay to Burrard Inlet. The room was very clean.We will stay there agian

Room I got from hotel .come was very small no way to move I end up to pay to hotel more money to update my room even the room I got after It wasn't comfort .Dirty .painful stay .I will not recommend to any one.

Room was great and have stayed many times due to the location but the walls are very thin. Last visit in Feb. our neighbours where very loud and not very considerate of the fact they where not the only ones staying at this hotel. I did not need to hear every laugh, scream laugh, from the people in the room next door. At least 6 people in there at all […] times. Lees meer

I got a deluxe room on the 17th floor, with the English Bay view. The room is spacious with a sitting area and a mini refrigerator. The location is excellent on Robson Street, within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and Stanley Park. I enjoyed the beautiful view when I had breakfast buffet at the Cloud 9 Revolving Restaurant on the top floor. […] The Hotel offers free WiFi and a shuttle pickup service to the airport for C$11 per person. There were unknown noises during my stay at night. It was like some machines constantly making noises throughout the night. Maybe it was because my room was close to the service elevator.

A good hotel at a decent price. One shortcoming was the Internet service, which probably would have been fine if they had provided instructions upon my arrival. I would recommend this place as very good and very convenient. JS

The front desk was not of any help. Extra room keys are $20/night. Free internet access was promised, never could connect, besides, the signal was very poor. The bathroom flooded from the room 2 floors above us during our stay. They gave us complimentary breakfast coupons that were of no use since the restaurant did not open until 6:30 am. We're there […] to go see the sights, not sleep in every day. The hotel had hardly been updated since the 80's with mirrors around every corner, shotty workmanship everywhere. definitely not worth the price for what they advertise. Lees meer

pretty good ....

This hotel is an older downtown Vancouver hotel, a high rise. The rooms are spacious and well kept. Parking is quite secure and the hotel is pet friendly.

Outstanding view of the Harbor and Mountains However: The chain connected to the flush handle in the toilet tank broke (from the rubber stopper inside the tank)the first time I flushed it. Rather than disturb the staff, I just lifted the top and lifted the black stopper inside the tank when I needed to flush the toilet (it left a black residue on my […] hand each time I did this - which tells me that stopper was very old). Soap and water cleaned it off so no worries. Maybe this is something you may want consider when doing your preventive maintenance inspections. Great view and location. I enjoyed my stay. Lees meer

Located in the heart of Vancouver and the Aquarium in Stanley Park. Very safe neighborhood, and easy walking distance to tons of shopping. The view is magnificent! 180 degree view of the waterfront, Granville Island, and the mountains. I will say that the general manager deserves 10 stars but his staff deserves a negative 10. When we checked in they did not explain how to get to the parking so we drove aimlessly around the first garage we saw not able to find the level we were on. I went back inside and asked where our level was they then explained we had to drive down the alley to […] enter the garage but neglected to let us know that the room key opened the gate. After we finally got into the correct garage we went upstairs to find a filthy room, the toilet had hair in it and the room was dirty feeling overall. I didnt want to take my shoes off. I called down to speak to the hotel desk mgr to get the wireless code. A women named Sandy answered the phone I asked her if she could tell me how to get online she gave me a code without the user name. I told her it was not working. I asked her if she could repeat the code as I did not hear her correctly she muttered the numbers again. I asked her if she could say it slowly. She was clearly bothered by having to do this, I explained to her that there was not a pen or paper in the room so I was looking for something to write it down with at which point I was given a major attitude and she hung up on me. I called back she would not answer then I called hotels.com to cancel my reservation that I was not going to be treated so poorly. The general manager called and asked if he could upgrade our room, he came up and upgraded our room and made it so we could stay. If it had not been for him I would have cancelled and blasted this hotel but I feel that his actions deserve merit but that his staff needs a lesson on customer service. The larger upper floors are nice rooms the ones on the lower floors leave a lot to be desired. Lees meer
