Very good location in Zamalek, Cairo. Nice area, good pool, nice staff. A bit expensive, but nearby down-town so you can easily get what you need!

Must see this historic old palace converted to a hotel. It is one of the best in Cairo - very impressive. Service and staff were attentive and responsive. The rooms are well appointed and well maintained. Food in the many different restaurants was outstanding. Certainly a five star if not higher.

Cairo Marriott Hotel and Omar Khayyam Casino, is a really good choice if you are spending time in Cairo. Too expensive, but the staff is really nice, helpful and welcoming - both in the reception, housekeeping, restaurants and the rest. Good security also. Nice location in Zamalek!

Best five-star hotel location in Cairo. 24-hour beautiful heated pool and jacuzzi. Near the trendy restaurants in Zamalek (La Bodega, Abou El Sid and 24-hour Maison Thomas). Most rooms have great views and all balconies -- get one high in Zamalek tower with best view of Nile. Breakfast overrated for the price; just walk to July 26 street nearby. Don't […] use the pricey hotel cars but catch a taxi on your own outside the gates where everyone is now observing the metered rates; it WILL be cheaper. Very pleasant stay

Lovely hotel and beautiful grounds and pool. We paid $extra per day extra for two of us to have breakfast, dinner, three pieces of clothing presed and access to the 18th floor exec loung with free all day soft drinks. The problem was that the check-in girl did not tell us we woul have to eat in the exec loung so when it came to check out they expected […] us to pay for all the meals we had had. We settled it amicably but it was a bad ending to a great stay. Also - no black out curtains in the bedroom meant we were wakened early every day by the light. Very strange. Lees meer

Hotel is magnificent, set in the heart of Cairo. Although it is very expensive and the staff are not quite what you'd expect from a 5* hotel. Overall an enjoyable time at the Marriott!

Hotel check in: allowed early check in which was very good. check out: system was down but only 10mins wait before up and running again. security is good as vehicles and bags and people are all scanned/dogged sniffed when entering hotel premises. room was clean and tidy. no extractor in bathroom toilets, so beware what you eat. the health club was […] open 24hrs although didn't manage to make use of it because we only spent two days in cairo and most of it was for tours. for the price you pay, internet is not included. buying internet card from the hotel is very expensive! was cheaper to use roaming rate on my iphone. otherwise if you have wireless enabled laptops phones, head to the station nearby and buy mobinil wireless cards for LE5 for 30mins. they have other cards and a small fraction of hotel price. you can use the card at segafredo resto near the hotel. the restos were a bit expensive in my view, so we headed outside for a nice resto (illy and segafredo coffee resellers?) for lunch and still cheaper than hotel. the location is not great as there isnt much around there if you want to go for a walk. there is the nile river bank but you get this on the east bank also. better off staying on the east bank somewhere closer to bazaar or museum where there are loads of shops restos etc. The hotel had belly dancing shows from the famous soraya dancer. however for me the show was a bit overpriced and she did not look like in the pictures (she looked much older). there was a minimum charge per person being applied. the good news is you can spend that minimum charge on dinner and drinks. remember, you can enjoy a nice dinner in a very nice resto in Cairo city for AROUND LE100-150 total for 2 persons. loads of taxis waiting outside trying to overcharge tourists. bear in mind that from hotel to museum should be AROUND LE10 per taxi during the day (5-8mins away)! This hotel has it all. Ideal location and services. Advise upgrading to Executive room. Perfect for solo female traveller. Neighborhood provides great shopping and stocking up on essentials. This is a nice hotel given its in Cairo, a very dirty city. Its nice to stay somewhere where you feel safe but this at the hotel are over priced.

Pretty nice however be prepared to pay for added fees when you eat...such as 12% service charge, entertainment tax, regular tax, and if you charge to your room tax ect. ect. and you still tip on top! Food was pricey at the restaurant and also just average. Mint tea that is supposably a specialty is lipton with mint leaves.That is my only complaint other […] than that its pretty nice. Lees meer

This is a resort-type hotel in a palace. Hotel neighborhood is as good as it gets in Cairo. I recommend it with enthusiasm. The back yard restaurants are unforgettable.

We chose this hotel because it appeared to be one of the best in Cairo and we did not feel like "roughing it" in a third world country. We liked that we felt safe behind a heavily secured wall, but that was about it. The hotel offered several different restaurants, however, they are all OVERPRICED. When I saw OVERPRICED, I mean that for the equivalent […] of a very disgusting glass of Egyptian wine and some Beef Nachos, you can eat like a King in New Orleans, Rome, Paris, or New York. Pretty Ridiculous that the Marriott feels that they must rip people off in this way. We went to a local 5 star restaurant in the same neighborhood as the Marriott and spent only $100 USD for a VERY NICE dinner for 3 people complete with a bottle of wine and dessert. Sad. In addition, although a gratuity is automatically added to each bill at the Marriott's restaurants, the waiters (who are neither friendly nor very attentive) expected you to tip them more, on top of that. I wanted to laugh, coming from the US and Europe, where people are not only more civilized, but not incessantly taking advantage of tourists. This is one reason that I will not return to the Marriott Cairo and possibly to Egypt alltogether. Cairo is a city where 22 million people are struggling to make $$$ off of about 4 pyramids and a few other sites. It did not help that the Marriott was doing the same..... Lees meer

The Cario Marriot is a great hotel, after all it was once a palace. The service is excellent the breakfast buffet was great. It is close to everything. Taxis are quite cheap and it is a short ride to everywhere. You have to rely in taxis as public transportation is not good.

Hotell med meget god standard midt i hjertet av Zamalek. Nært gode cafeer og nært down-town. God service og høy standard. Noe gamle rom, men meget godt hotell likevel. Anbefales på det sterkeste.

Hôtel Cairo Marriott, pour voyageurs d'affaires, sans surprises, de très bon standing. Dommage que les deux tours gâchent cet ancien palais.

Tolle ambiente, excellente Service, Zauberhafte Lage am Nil .

Nachdem der vorherige Manager, Herr Huth das Marriott Zamalek verlassen hat ist der Standard und Service weitaus schlechter geworden. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältniss ist für ein 5 Sterne Hotel nicht ausreichend.

Vi fikk en ekstra overnatting i Kairo etter en rundtur i Egypt med et meget interessant og krevende program. Vi ønsket derfor å roe ned i komfortable omgivelser borte fra det hektiske bylivet. Vi var meget fornøyd med oppholdet - behagelig rom, god swimming-pool og trimrom og god seervice.

Ottima struttura alberghiera confortevole e gradevole il giardino interno e l'area spa. qualche appunto all'executive lunch, troppo presto la cena, entro le 20,00 non sono riuscito a cenarci mai anche perchè alle 19,45 già era vuota, inoltre l'offerta durante la giornata era misera.

struttura e servizio eccellente rispetto agli standard della citta,unico inconveniente se lo si vuole cosi chiamare e' l'elevato costo dei servizi e della colazione ma comunque di ottimo livello che alla fine accetti volentieri di pagare,personale disponibilissimo ed eccellente
