Chateau Victoria Hotel and Suites in Victoria

De lobby van het hotel ziet er netjes en verzorgd uit maar de kamer viel ontzettend tegen. We hadden een twee-persoonskamer met 2 bedden gereserveerd. De kamer bleek ongelofelijk krap te zijn en er was niet genoeg ruimte om 2 koffers te herbergen. Het schoonmaak personeel ruimde de kamer ook niet goed op. Het was duidelijk dat de vloer niet gezogen […] werd. De vloer van de badkamer lag onder de stof en het douche gordijn was ronduit vies! Het enige positieve punt van dit hotel is de lokatie; die is ech ideaal. Middenin het centrum en op loopafstaand van de haven. Dit hotel is geen aanrader! Lees meer

Staff was very friendly and efficient. We ate all our meals at little hole in the wall restaurants and everyone of them served good food and had friendly servers. Love Victoria!

The front desk clerk was very snoby and rude and the room was very small but it was very clean and modern. The beds were extremly confortable and I slept like a baby. The hotel was within walking distance to everything. It was very convenient!

I expected this hotel to be a luxury based on the name. But the rooms and swimming area where very very outdated and not well kept. It flet more like we where at a accent Inn or holiday Inn. Not classy at all.

Have stayed here many times for the same annual hockey tournament in Victoria. Stayed in 1 Bdrm suite 1102 for 3 nights...booked online. Ordered room service meals 3 times...quality and service was very good. All staff were pleasant. Hotel is located well to downtown for access. Overall...a pleasant stay.

We have been here a few times and enjoy our time here every time. It is right downtown, so it is within walking distance of so much! We really enjoy Clive's lounge. It has a great atmosphere and an excellent drink/cocktail selection. The staff were really friendly and the room was clean. Had a very relaxing getaway with a girlfriend. The staff were above par and we got a room that was newly renovated. Very nice. I will go back to this hotel again.

Dated furnishings in the room, but ample space. Small tub and shower. No additional ammenitites. Kitchenette in the room was stocked with dishes, a mini-fridge and a microwave. Nice sized balcony. Large TVs in both rooms. Overall average hotel, great deal with Hotel.com (3rd night was free!)

beds very uncomfortible little did we no that if you book direct its free to park book through here 15 dollars extra they try charge you for bottle water in room pool is 5 feet deep at shallow end not good for young kids pool was cold bah bah bah dont think we would stay there again

Very spacious and very bright; the junior suite had a fully equipped kitchen, small dining room, a living room, a huge hall closet and then a bedroom with another large closet. The bathroom was bright and clean and even had a towel warmer. The living room had access to a balcony and both the bedroom and living room had a TV. My friend and I were able to stay in a penthouse suite for 2 nights because of the winter rates. The balcony was the big it seemed to go half way around the hotel, so the views were spectacular! Nice people running the front desk and felt safe returning late in the evening/am. Also liked the fact I could have parked my full size truck in any of the 3 lots,I now know to bring it next stay.

squeeky and too soft bed (as in older mattress, saggy) and too bulky pillows, I think our room this time was not as upgraded as other rooms we stayed in before, but staff were good, and over all it was ok and quiet

We stayed in Victoria and had no idea really what the hotel would be like. It looks very nice pulling in and we were recieved nicely by the front staff. The rooms were clean and looked very nice. The bed the first night was horrible and it sloped towards the middle. I complained about our sleep and even though there was a big marathon on this weekend […] and all hotels were booked they switched our room right away and the bed was much much better. The Hotel location is blocks from the marina and parliament building and has nice places to eat within walking distance. The Hotel itself has a phenomenal bar and there is a restaurant on the top floor. The pool area is clean and nice and deep too. Overall i would stay again and I had a pretty good time. Lees meer

me and my friend stayed one night and were put in a room on the second floor with our windows facing right out to the front of the loby. we did not get much sleep that night because of the people ariving at all hours and there was no sound proofing so we could hear everything that was going on. the walls were paper thin and we could hear the people […] in the next room and the people in the halls. the room was really stuffy and the bar fridge was really load. the hotel was in a good location but i would never stay there again! Stayed at this hotel while in Victoria on business. Won't stay there again. Bed springs dug into my back, cordless phone died 20 minutes into my conference call, Wi-Fi was slower than the "dial-up" internet connection I had in the 80's (and I kept getting disconnected) and ring of dust visible around the edges of the walls. Ordered "coffee" with breakfast […] and room service brought me one mug of coffee. Yep...just one cup! It had Saran wrap covering it in a feeble attend to keep it mildly warm. The hotel was 40% more expensive than the downtown Vancouver hotel I had stayed in the night before and was 1/3rd the size. Horrible experience. If you keep your expectations extremely low, they just may be able to meet them. Lees meer

The Chateau Victoria was a great choice for our quick trip to Vancouver Island. The hotel staff was excellent, location was within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping and the water. I Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Great location: close to everything but not in the middle of the noise. Staff friendly towards people and pets alike. Although we were asked to put our dog in a kennel while left alone in the room, they did allow us to leave the dog alone in the room, while other "pet friendly" hotels did not do so. Also, we were allowed to enter our room before noon […] on the day when we arrived, since the room service just finished cleaning it. It made a huge difference to me and my children. We were able to change and relax much earlier in the day than we initially anticipated, before hitting the streets of Victoria. It made our stay there that much more enjoyable! Lees meer

Unfortunately, we got a room on the 2nd floor (#202) right above the hotel entrance. It was noisy with people outside while we were trying to get to sleep and then woke up again in the middle of the night with people standing outside taking. Just as we got to bed, there were flashing lights outside - a fire truck, ambulance and police car. No idea what […] was going on, but they were there and gone pretty quick. The room was the smallest hotel room I have ever been in ever. 2 double beds with 1 night stand between them, a dresser with a TV on it (great TV), desk with a chair, bar fridge, club chair and a small bathroom. The bathroom is totally new although the shower head was fairly low. The bed coverings weren't very modern, but over all, it was so clean that I really appreciated that. I'd stay there again but with a room higher up and not facing the entrance side of the hotel. Didn't go swimming (forgot my bathing suit) but the pool looked nice and inviting although the pool room was very humid. Staff were fantastic. If you don't need space - or can splurge for a bigger room, this hotel is in a great location and it's not overprice at all. Lees meer

Great location for walking to shops, restaurants and Inner Harbor sites. We would stay here again. The breakfast at the restaurant on the 18th floor was excellent and the view spectacular. A must!

Pluses: friendly staff, position, size of suite, good room service, free Internet, free tea and coffee in room. Minuses: squeaky bed, portable and noisy air conditioner, Noise from surroundings in summer, with windows open at night time (due to lack of proper Air con.) Dated building and decor.
