Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore in Asheville

Over all this hotel is nice. Very close to the highway and too far a drive to Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. However, why it is named the Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore I have no idea. We actually stayed here because we were headed to the Biltmore, but unlike one might infer from the name of this hotel it is not really in the same are as […] the Biltmore. It's about 10 miles away and takes 15-20 to get to the Biltmore House. All in all the location was not bad. What I just cannot understand is why a hotel of this price has no ability to order or watch movies. They do not offer the pay per view movie service available in almost every hotel I have ever stayed in and they also do not have HBO or the like. So if you plan on staying in, you will be stuck watching regular old TV. Boo. Lees meer

I witnessed some of the staff being rude to numerous guest. However, most of the staff I interacted with were rather friendly.

We had trouble from the time we got there. I have already written a letter to the hotel itself and another one to the corporate office. Not the room I reserved, room wasn't ready at check in, keys didn't work ever! Had to get the "special key". After all the time wasted trying to get into the room...pool & bar closed! The hotel looks nice, the rooms confortable and clean and accecible to downtown and highway

I selected this hotel because of the indoor pool. I had my daughter and her friend with me. The pool greater was broken and the pool was extremely cold. The girls could not enjoy the pool at all. I only received an apology, no other compensation. Very disappointing for me and the girls.

My family stayed her for years when it was a Ramada Inn. It is now a Holiday Inn and nothing has changed. My husband and I wanted a quick getaway and when we called to book we even said the main reason we stay here is for the pool. When we checked in we noticed a sign that said "Pool Heater down for maintenance' We were never told this or would not […] have stayed. Found out it's been broken since Jan!! Then we had these smal"cube" pillows which were horrible. Good location, will def. ask if pool is repaired if we ever try to stay there again. Lees meer

We had to pay for a breakfast that should have been complimentary. 7.99 for a hot breakfast that was not that great and they also charged for a small breakfast just a roll and coffee most places have this for free!

Pleasant experience overall; convenient to Asheville and Biltmore; staff were courteous; lobby and rooms were clean The toilets were old and did not flush properly; and complimentary breakfast is not included if booked on hotels dot com

We searched for a hotel specifically with an indoor heated pool. Unfortunately the heater was broken during our stay. Fortunately, the hot tub was great.

Excellent stay!!! The room was clean, the beds were awesome! However, the staff could have been a bit friendlier at check out. Other than that had an excellent stay. This will be the hotel I choose when going to Asheville from now on.

The people working here were all very helpful. Extremely nice lounge with fireplace and easy access to computer and pool nothing negative to say

Hotel convient to interstate and bed was comfortable. The pool was out of service however, the main reason I chose this particular hotel, and the staff were very loud in the hallway and woke us up very early with all the noise.

The hotel is clean and well maintained. Nice 4 story atrium lobby with pool and hottub. Computer and comfortable sofas and chairs. Located just off the I-40 exit Our room was 1st floor off the atrium. Very convient. Realized that our low rate was because it was near vending machine, ice machine and across from game room. (on the inside). A bit of noise […] as people used those services. My wife was O U T so those things did not bother her. Indoor/outdoor pool was very cold as it was March 17. But I took a dip anyway. TV - took about 5 seconds for the channel to change. Full hot breakfast bufffet was $8 and worth it. Telephone would not dial out - neither 800# or local calls could be made. We had a good time in our stay. Room was very clean, housekeeping did a great job and reception crew was very friendly. We stayed in room 246 friday and saturday night. Hotel Managment, please recognize your empployees for a great work!! BKV

Start with the Good ....clean room, great maid service, & comfortable bed. Great service at the hotel bar/lounge & good buffet breakfast ( slightly over priced ). The exercise room was small and very closed in with good running equipment. Could handle 4 or 5 people at a time but you would feel claustraphobic if 5 people decided to work out at once. […] Onto the BAD....walls a bit thin and was not ask about my stay as I checked out. Finally the UGLY....broken down elevator clogged the remaining working ones.........broken pool heater so no pool which was a BIG drag. The pool/hot tub area is only open until 10:00 PM. Would have been nice if it was adult access only after 8:00PM as the area is even more crowded when only the hot tub is available. Not fun at all. Given all the above not sure I would recommend to anyone. Have to decide for yourself. I would revisit this hotel only after making certain ALL listed amenties were in good working order since you are paying for them ALL and certainly no credit was offered for malfunctions. Lees meer

The hotel was very nice, clean, friendly staff!! We were told the jacuzzi tub in our room was big enough for two but it definatly was not. The Biltmore in the title is a little misleading as it was at least 20 mins away and there was actually another holiday inn closer to it. The only complaint we had was there were about 300 teenagers there and they were extremely loud, we notified front desk and it was taken care of immediately! I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina, and my brother still lives there with his family. My wife and I go to visit them every winter around Christmas time, and this hotel is perfect for our needs. His kids (7 and 5 years old now) love visiting us at the hotel so we can all swim in the indoor pool while it is freezing cold outside! The location […] is not really Biltmore (more like Enka) but it is super-convenient, and the people working there exude that lovely southern hospitality that I miss living in the DC Metro area. We stayed a weekend for a family trip and it was very nice. Staff was very accomodating and friendly. There is a nice pool and hot tub and the kids loved the game room. There are some restaurants nearby but it is a few minute drive to Biltmore.

This hotel is very kid friendly. The indoor pool and hot tub and the arcade that was open 24 hrs was a hit. The staff was incredibly friendly. We will definately stay here again.

The beds were uncomfortable. Pillow were bad. They advertised that you can change your pillow which meant they told us to fluff them. The dinner at the resturant was lousy. They did not care about any issues or even appologies. There was also a dead rat right outside the rear enterance.

We enjoyed our five-day stay. The hotel was clean. I would have liked a more customer-friendly staff. 1. One day they forgot to clean our room. 2. There isn't really a place in the public areas to work on a laptop, and the desk person denied permission to use one of 20 unused tabled in the paid breakfast area. 3. I lost their internet connection […] for most of a day. The front desk gave me an outsourced tech number to call --- the line was busy all day and I couldn't get through. As it turned out, the hotel changed the access code without notifying the guests and the front desk didn't think to mention it. 4. Keeping the indoor pool closed until 10 a. m. meant no wake-up exercise before beginning my day. Improved customer service would have boosted my overall rating. But I would stay there again. This was our first time staying in a Holiday Inn...we've always stayed in Hampton Inn's but there was a significant enough price difference in Asheville that we opted to try to lower of the two. The room was ok, the bathroom was a little small, the bed was surprisingly very comfortable, but the walls are paper thin. We were woken up several times because […] of people just talking in the hallways or in the connected room. The is no breakfast included....you have to pay either $7 for a hot breakfast or $5 for continental....$5 for cereal?!?!?! Not terrible, but next time we will just pay the extra to stay in a little nicer hotel. Lees meer

This was a great place to stay for our Homecoming weeknd at Warren Wilson College. Very convenient to the interstate; restuarants and events. Very relaxing and comfortable. Food from Room service was very good also. Great views of the mountains!

This hotel is very nice. It has a pretty lobby, clean nice indoor pool, and an exceptionally friendly staff. We will be staying here again.

Our son recently moved to Asheville and we’ll be visiting often. Your hotel is close to his house. This was my return visit to the Holiday Inn and I enjoyed the following: - The friendly atmosphere of your staff. - In the morning, you have an excellent buffet and your people can’t do enough to serve us. - I called ahead and requested to be located […] near an elevator due to my leg problems and I was. - At night we ate in your dining room. We enjoyed the cozy dining area, our meals, drinks and our waitress, who couldn’t do enough for us. - Your rooms are beautiful and spotless. I’m in love with your bed pillows. Is there a way I can purchase them on line? I had to have new room keys made up and was told not to keep near my credit card since the magnetic room key can be erased. That is something I never knew and you might want to print on the white envelop you give out to hold the keys. A very dangerous part of our stay is exiting your hotel, trying to make a left turn into four lanes of traffic. You actually have to inch out into traffic to see what is coming on the right. The shrubs make it difficult to see the traffic. Can you trim them back a little? I’ll be returning shortly but still very interested in ordering your pillows. Lees meer

Was pleasantly surprised. They set up an extra check out for a busy Sunday morning which was nice. Rooms were quiet. One disappointment-the card in hotel said to put the towels on the floor that you wanted to replace and hang up the ones that did not need to be replaced to save in washing etc. We did this to be conscious of the environment, but they […] were all replaced, regardless of whether we hung them up. (This seems to happen almost everywhere we stay and not unique to this hotel, but disappointing nevertheless.) One recommendation: a fan in the bathrooms, and quieter air conditioning/fan. We were pleased with the location and condition of the hotel. The two big problems were the door keys not working which had to be reactivated couple times a day and also since our room was next to the indoor pool ,there was a lot of noise outside our room until very late night.
