Super 8 Asheville in Asheville

Came in late and had our dog. Our room was on the second floor midway between both stairways---so we had to carry his crate and all the bags s great distance. The clerk at the receptionist desk told me that Hotels.com had not told the hotel that we had the dog. However, it was noted on my receipt so I do not know if that was a true fact. The fact that […] the stairways were at either end of the building, rather than in the middle of the building made the transporting of our gear difficult. Other than that , our stay was great. The room was comfotable and clean. The access to the room is on the outside, you can hear people walk on the upper walkway and there no parking in front of your room if your room is in front instead of back but this was of no concern since I was not in my car as I was traveling with family who room was on the backside with parking. Would not stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone. It was the best rate I could find, but I couldn't get any sleep. You can hear your neighbors. It was very noisy and you can hear everything going on in the parking lot. Nasty brown stuff on bathroom door. Refrigerator didn't work.

easy in & out - easy to find, convenient to downtown Asheville, fairly new - good maintainence, good value

Sorry but the outside was not well taken care of with overgrown trees which for me could cause a security issue and the rug had stains as did some of the furniture the bedding and the bathroom looked clean as did hotel reception looked neat and clean. If you are on a budget OK otherwise look elsewhere

Nice location, close to town and almost all of the highways leading anywhere around. Mall close by. No problems. 'will stay again

My only complaints are that the beds were uncomfortable and the microwave in our room incinerated our food because it broke and wouldn't shut off after the appointed time...

The building was older, but well maintained and clean. The only real complaint i have is the only heat source in the room was a heater/air conditioner unit that was really loud, too loud for me to run while I was sleeping.

We were quite surprised with the overall stay with the Super 8 in Asheville, NC. For what we booked it for we were not sure. But, to our surprise all our fears were put to rest. We will staying there next year again.

You get what you pay for but overall it worked great for what I needed.

I got to hear people yelling all night long on my first night, second night it sounded like hookers were bringing their johns to the room next to mine. Ill warn you now, DONT STAY HERE!

Very good motel for the price. The room was clean and comfortable, although I wished the pillows were fluffier. The furniture and bathroom should be updated, old and chipped but functional. Bathroom should have a fan. The front desk was courteous.

No frills here and good value for the money. Breakfast better than more expensive hotels. Lunch/dinner local food options pretty poor. Cost us $7 for a taxi into the city, so despite appearing out of town, is pretty close.

It's not the best hotel ever, but it was clean, comfortable, and a $9 cab ride to downtown. Highly recommend - we'll probably stay there again.

Although advertised the free Internet does not work for iPads. The front desk could offer no help at all, there is no Super 8 help desk.

1.breakfast is not bad. They have scrambled eggs, milk e.g. 2,It's not very new inside the room, but very clean and comfortable. 3. microwave oven and refrigerator are inside the room.

There are no frills with this hotel, but the staff was very friendly, and the room was clean and quiet. The drive to downtown Asheville takes just a few minutes. Continental breakfast - bagels, muffins, coffee... but what more do you expect for the price. Traveling on a budget - I would stay again.

it was just a night to rest from the road. They gave us a room upstairs (no elevator) so that it would "less noisy" thinking away from traffic. There was "buzz" all night. The room was clean and no bugs. The area was ok though I have felt safer in other places....mall nearby and close to other locations we visited. We didn't arrive until about 11pm. The front desk staff person was very snappy throughout the entire check in process. She informed us to probably not call the person who would be on night duty after she left for the evening because "he doesn't like to be bothered." Usually I wouldn't complain about sub-par customer service when checking in so late- […] but I was extremely polite the entire time and her demeanor was completely unacceptable for ANY service employee. The room was clean but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I was happy that we only booked this hotel out of desperation for one night because I would have been unable to sleep another night on that bed. The hotel was surprisingly quiet. There was a fridge in our room but it was not working. Considering the price (relatively cheap for an Asheville hotel in the summer)- I understand that I got what I paid for. Lees meer

While the hotel didn't look like much when we pulled up, the lobby was nice, the young man at the desk was super helpful, the room was clean and as described. We were even more pleased with breakfast. Even at that incredible rate we had a hot breakfast to start our day. The inside of the hotel was wonderful but the outside was a little run down. The bed we got could have been a little softer but the sheets and room was clean. The continental breakfast was good and had a good veriety of things to choose from. The only critique would be the lack of fruit.

Close to the 'must see' things in Ashville. Staff is attentive and pleasant. Room and hotel interior is clean but could be updated. Rugs in room need to be cleaned and door card reader replaced or re programmed?

The bathroom floor and carpet throughout was very dirty. I had to air out my clothes and luggage once I got home. The room had a peculiar odor, (musty, mold or meldew) which permeated the room and my clothes! The breakfast wasn't so good either! The room was clean & quiet. Other than that, it was nothing special.

I recomend this hotel. It is close to downtown Asheville and I-240, making it easy to drive to and from to all sites.

The motel was clean and they provided nice breakfasts. Very accommodating, let us check in before check in time and they were ready. Location was good for east and central parts of Asheville. Would stay here again.

Manager and staff very friendly and helpful. Good for price, excellent location can walk to shops and restaurants. Asheville Mall 1/4 mile away also close to downtown.

Great service at the front desk. No problems with bed bugs or anything of the sort. Internet is free, and there's a fridge and a microwave in each room. Perfect for travelers looking to save a ton of money and stay only about a mile outside of the center city area. One complaint is that there was no bathroom fan. The beds are comfy enough to come back […] to at 3 in the morning and crash at after a hard night of rocking to awesome music in the city :) Stayed here for MOOGFEST in Asheville on Halloween weekend, met a ton of other friendly people at the hotel and will likely come back and stay again next year! We spent the night here to see the Biltmore Mansion and then on the Myrtle Beach, SC. We were checked in promptly and I had called ahead to make sure we had dog friendly room on the first floor as I have some trouble manipulating the stairs. One of the chairs in the room had been chewed on by a dog quite a bit but we expect this when we stay in "dog" […] friendly room. I saw this listed as FREE continental breakfast but we didn't see any sign of it but the clerk did offer to give us a 20% off coupon to IHOP just down the road as we declined because we are not early eaters.
