Hier worden veel conventies gegeven en in zulke gevallen is het restaurant te klein om de hoeveelheid gasten goed te kunnen bedienen waardoor lange files ontstaan bij het ontbijt. De kwaliteit van het ontbijt is matig voor een 4 sterren hotel en sterk over de prijs. Staat van onderhoud in badkamer was teleurstellend en de kraanen vielen zowat af en […] warm water in de ochtend was niet toereikend als er veel mensen aanwezig waren. Hotel was in a great, safe location. Only issue was the room.. TV's are pretty old.. Fussy reception and minimal channels.. UPDATE YOUR FUNRNITURE AND TV's in your rooms!!! Staff was great, very nice!! GREAT FOOD!!!! I would stay again..

Hotel check-in was easy and the staff at the desk were amazing. The rooms were clean but I was shocked that the tv was so out dated. The mini bar was not plugged in everything was hot. When checking out I called 3x for bell service and waited over 30min and still no service. I had the take my bags downstairs myself. The hotel was as good as expected after reading the reviews. I would highly recommend anyone coming to this hotel if you get a chance go and book with the buffet breakfast included, the breakfast was really a good value add. I'm not sure why I keep doing this to us. As a native Houstonian, I know what the traffic is like anywhere in the Galleria vicinity. Thought I was being smart getting a hotel a little further down the feeder from westheimer, but it didn't change anything. Still a pain to get out at any time there's daylight. Once the sun sets things calm down a lot […] and the place is easily accessible. That being said, this hotel is immaculate. Rooms are spacious, bed is comfortable, and the inside of the building is very nice. My only complaint about the room is lack of a proper closet. Almost any hotel has one. This one, at least the room we were in, only had a small opening in the tv stand to hang clothes in. Normally this doesn't bother me, but I had a suit that had to be crammed into this small space. Otherwise I would definitely consider this hotel for a future stay....IF it wasn't on one of the most crammed with cars streets in Houston. Lees meer

I had a very nice stay at the Royal Sonesta. The room was comfortable and the service was wonderful. During my stay I was able to use the workout room and breakfast at the restaurant. Both were very nice with towels, water and fruit in the workout room and delicious eggs benedict with fresh avacado for breakfast. Hotel staff was excellently trained. One thing is they only had one person working the front desk. Other than that I would stay there again.

The hotel was nice, I really have no complaints. It just didn't have that five star feel though. The breakfast left a lot to be desired, but the coffee was excellent.

Great place, great location, only complaint they did not clean our room one day. We were out of that room by 10:20 that morning and didn't return until the evening.

We stayed 1 night during Spring Break. We caught a Rocket games, shopped at the Galleria Mall, and went to the Space Center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. We were able to check in early (noon) with no problems. The breakfast was great, especially the service in the Restaurant.

It was very good except for a very loud knock at our door at 10: p.m. The person who knocked said that we requested for the air conditioning to be fixed so he was there to fix it for us. We did not open the door since we did not send such a request.

Have stayed here before and will again. Easily accessible by car, easy parking and even within walking distance of the Galleria, its pretty rare you can walk anywhere in Houston!!

Hotel was nice and room was a standard size room. Other than that service could have been much better. When I booked this hotel, it came with free parking and free breakfast buffet. Person at the front desk forgot to give us our free breakfast coupons at check in and they tried to bill us for the breakfast. Service in the restaurant for the buffet was […] horrible as well. Asked for coffee and tomato juice and they finally brought them half way thru the meal. Also, when checking out, they tried to bill us for parking, again which was supposed to be free. If all this is in the computer, then they should get it right the first time. Overall a decent hotel but you would expect better service for a place that holds a black tie, fat Tuesday, party. The problem with 4-star hotels is that, while they have amenities they usually cost extra. The parking is extra, the wi-fi is extra, the breakfast is extra. Thus if you get a discount on the room on a discount site, you don't really get a 4-star experience, you get a 3-star hotel with extremely smiley service (usually telling you that your room rate […] doesn't include something). Based on this experience, I'm tempted to go with the 3-star hotels that include all of those amenities with the room rate instead of the nicely appointed up-charging Sonesta. Sonesta did have nice rooms, a topless soap/lotion set, and a decent exercise room complete with free weights, stairmasters and and a loud middle-aged grunter, so I was happy with the stay. You will too, just don't get excited about the amenities that will end up costing you. Lees meer

Great Hotel, it started as a business trip and it was an excellent option. I stayed there for an extra couple of days to discover the city after my business meetings. Great staff, excelent location if you want to go shopping!

Not as fancy for the price but it is in a great location and the front staff was nice. The Restaurant not so much I was taking breakfast up to my room and they could only give me one pair of utensils? It was policy.

This hotel met or exceeded my expectations. I had never heard of Royal Sonesta before, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and fairly quiet. It is conveniently located near the Houston galleria. It is located on West South Loop, which is a one way street, so you may have some difficulty finding your way there (Take Post […] Oak to San Felipe, then turn right onto West South Loop). It is about a ten minute walk to the Galleria. Free self-parking was included in our rate. The room we had was on a higher floor and there was a great view of Houston. The room was very clean, quiet, and had premium amenities (by Bulgari). We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant and the breakfast buffet was included in the rate. There was a wide variety of food items. The staff at this hotel was polite, helpful, and friendly, which we appreciated. There is a small bar in the lobby that we enjoyed going to in the evenings. The bar serves bar food, as well as regular menu items. I enjoyed the chicken wings. There were other services available that we did not use, such as a gym, business center, pool, etc. I had no complaints at all. I will only mention two things for management to consider: I would suggest some more security in the indoor parking lot, especially at night. We also had trouble getting the TV remote to work, but these are minor concerns. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you!! Lees meer
