Hotel VQ in Denver

From the first moment we walked in the woman at the front desk was rude, we had questions about the free shuttle services they offered, we have never been to.Denver so we were not sure how far things were out where to go. She acted as if we were bothering her with our questions & during her response mid-sentence she put her finger up to us and picked […] up the ringing phone, & proceeded to assist the caller while we stood there. We completed the check out & proceeded to our room using the only working elevator. Once we arrived to our outdated room, we start looking around, I go into the bathroom, there was a half empty till of toilet paper on the rod & tons of little black hair on the shower wall. we immediately called to.have the shower cleaned. we called the housekeeper she came up & cleaned the shower in the process she throws the dirty shower types on the clean bed, which we then requested be changed to fresh linens. once that hassle was over. we noticed that the refrigerator was making a horrible piping noise as if something was stuck. inside upon opening the fridge there was a horrible smell & strains from the previous guests item that had been left in there, the ac didn't work in the room luckily it was fresh so we were able to leave the window open for fresh air, we called front desk to let them know & no one came to fix during our stay...I wouldnot recommend this hotel to anyone!!! Only one elevator operational (servicing for 6 weeks). Rooms were small, bathrooms was even smaller. Location is great, and the price, comparatively, was good.

The hotel staff was very pleasant, the sky bar and restaurant had good food. The lobby was nice. But the fragrance was a lil over kill. I would stay there again if the hotel updated the beds and room. The beds were horrible!

Small room even after upgrading, got shocked by hair dryer while turning off the light. The wireless Internet was extremely slow.

Everything was what I expected! Restaurant and bar were fantastic and service was great. The shuttle service is the only thing I would complain about. Might be easier with some sort of schedule. We ended up waiting close to 45 minutes for one. And for the last 15 minutes of waiting, the shuttle was there, but the driver was taking a break i guess. Driver […] was also not very friendly. A little loud due to the closeness of traind and I-25...Get rooms 5-8 for better rooms. Rooms 3-14 are all loud due to facing the freeway and the railroad tracks.. A little old and shabby, but were A-OK for the price and location.Great shuttle service and great staff.

Friendly staff nice lobby. hotel room was run down and smelled like weed, dogs barking all night in the hotel. bathroom door broken. room was not very clean.

Decent enough. I did question the cleanliness of a few things, but I brought wipes with me... Shuttle to the city was a Godsend, as nothing but Bronco Stadium was in walking distance. Food at the hotel very good too.

It was rated 3 star but would rather stay in a Hampton Inn for the money.

I would not stay there again for the simple reason the internet connection sucked. half the time I could not connect and when I did connect it took 10-15 minutes of trying and trying until I finally got connected, then it would drop eventually. The other person staying with me had the same issues.Also, I also left my prescription glasses in the room. […] When I went in to ask I was told I needed to come back when the housekeeping manager was there. I love the convenience for going to an event at the Pepsi Center. Having a shuttle is heaven sent. I appreciate it for going back and forth to the Pepsi Center.

If you're heading to a Rockies game, Avs game or anything in that area this hotel is ideal, only if you don't mind stale smoke smell, small beds and a serve yourself bar. This hotel is in need of major updating and maybe some bar staff.

This hotel had a bad odor in the hallways and room. The carpet was stained the television shut on and off. Also the ironing board was in shreds and the iron had something melted on the bottom and almost ruined a shirt. We decided not to even use the shower and checked out and left.

We went for a concert at the Pepsi Center and the Hotel VQ made it really enjoyable, they dropped us off and picked us up. Hassel free that's what we like.

Besides being a little outdated; the hotel is perfectly located for major sports events. The Skybox sports bar and grill food was great, also, the front desk,shuttle drivers, & servers were very friendly and helpful. Definitly will return again.

The room was nice and clean, and the location was perfect for the event I was attending. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Also, the restaurant on the 14th floor was excellent. The food was superb and the view was great!

Hotel was dirty, stains on sheets, heat in room did not work, shower did not work, employees not helpful and when problems brought to their attention they were complacent and never once apologized for the inconvenience. Will never stay here again nor will any family/friends of mine.

Each time I stay at VQ I am satisfied with the accommodation and service. Given my last experience with Hotels.Com which was unsatisfactory, I will in the future reserve directly with the hotel.

Love this hotel!.been to Denver on business many times and ill be returning to this hotel again.I cany say that for any other hotel ive stayed at here..the staff is great,the view from.the Skybox is awesome!.

This hotel has a no-smoking policy, and has guests sign an agreement at registration that if they smoke, they will pay a $250 fine. During a 4-night stay, I smelled smoke every night. One night, the people in the connecting room were smoking. I know this because the smoke was coming in right through the door, just after midnight. I called the desk, […] and was told, Oh no ... they will be charged $250. But a half hour later, they were still smoking. I called again, and the receptionist took the room number, but didn't say she would do anything. Eventually I fell asleep before the air cleared. [Paragraph] Next day, I asked the manager about changing rooms, but she assured me that those guests had left. However, during the night I was awakened just before 5 AM by an unmistakable smoke odor. I can only assume that the smoker(s) had awakened to catch an early flight. And the following evening when I returned to my room, the odor of smoke was so strong that I left the room and asked for it to be deodorized. They did so, but it got smoky again before I went to bed. [Paragraph] So there you have it ... in a no-smoking hotel, during a 4-day stay, the air in my room was polluted by at least 3 sets of guests! And there was no evidence that management took any corrective action, except perhaps to charge them $250 after the damage had been done. The room was not cleaned, there was a pizza box left behind with food in it stuck between two doors in the room that made the room stink. The sink was clogged up and would not drain. We waited way over 30 minutes for the hotel shuttle and were told the wait would be ten minutes. Good location but horrible service and Hotel VQ does not seem to take pride […] in their property. the hotel is out of the way but offers great views of downtown. parking is free which helps and they have a shuttle service that takes you into town

The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. We came to town for the Nuggets game at the Pepsi Center, the hotel location was awesome and the shuttle service to the game was super convenient. Breakfast at the Skybox was good, fantastic view of the city. We will definetly come back.

My stay was o.k. Lots of noise - widows need to be sealed as lots of air could get through. The parking area needed to be plowed as snow filled the front parking spots. The room was average.

Nice customer service, but snow was not shoveled very well-almost fell on sidewalk. Room was clean, food was decent in restaurant. Bathtub didn't drain very well, but shower pressure was great. Hallway to room smelled like a bathroom. Would be a good place to crash-not the best to have to spend much time in your room. Provided wi-fi, but was not very […] good reception. The photos of the rooms online show nice, new, clean rooms. However, they are NOT even close to nice or new or clean! Old Dirty Bed Spread, Ancient Mattress with a nasty mattress cover under the stained sheet, old blue ceramic tile, cracked bathtub, and a very odd smell. Feel very strongly I got ripped off. Hotel location was convenient near downtown. Room was clean, though a bit small and lacked a refrigerator.. Some staffed seemed irritable, others OK. Price was OK considering the location.

The place had water buckets everywhere to catch leaks. The upper rooms are under repair. Did not do anything but sleep there. It is right across from mile high stadium, so they have the location but thats about it.

this hotel is in drastic need of repair. there were no towels in our room and the shower leaked into the rest of the bathroom. it smelled funny and the rooms are highly over-rated.

Arrived in room and the dresser had not even been wiped down. One side had dried up toast on it and the other had remnants of drug use. Party! After inspection it appeared that only one bed had clean sheets. Lots of hairs and crumpled sheets. I thought the housekeeping may have overlooked cleaning but the toilet paper had its little v-fold, bedspreads […] were tight, and all else was in place. So the next day I did a test. I left some toothpaste on the basin and toilet and pulled the bedspread off that unclean bed. When I returned that night my marks had not been cleaned and the pub hair sheets were not changed and just covered over. I mean, a simple wipe would have done it. 2am fire alarm the next night, Motorcycle gang party the next. They needed two security guards in the elevators!! The party went through the night and into the halls. The cabs cant get you there cuz its crazy location and none could find it. You can see it, you just cant get there. It turned out to be faster to walk to downtown. Dont choose that option at nigth if you are female. One of my coworkers found a bone in his breakfast. at least its real meat I told him! He was grossed out and he is from Montana! Wind whipped through the closed windows and the "clean" bed of the two was crammed next to the window. But hey, the rate is cheap and just have a couple drinks before you head home at night!! Lees meer
