The hotel was clean, well maintained, easy to get to, and the breakfast was good. A good value and a good choice.

Staff was very helpful both before and during our stay. I requested a handicapped room and got a very nice room on the first floor. This is a "pet-friendly" hotel but there was no odor evidence to verify this. Shower was very good, bathroom was very large and clean.TV was in great shape. Mattress was in very good shape and clean. A/C-Heat worked very […] well and very quiet. Breakfast room was very clean and food was fresh and varied each morning. Overall a VERY GOOD 5 night stay. The hotel is good.

The hotel was close to the interstate and close to the heart of Summerville. Staff gave us an extra cart to make bedtime even better. My Army days has made me appreciate a good sleeping bed.

Wonderful experience from check in to check out. Mary at the front desk was so helpful and kind after a long nights drive.

This is the hotel I always stay when I am in the area. But this time the front desk staff seemed a little frazzaled. They had me checked in already but had my reservation there in front of them. Well I guess anyone can have a off day.

Stayed for a night coming home from a vacation. The hotel was very nice and breakfast was great. Everything was clean and staff was friendly. Planned on day tripping to Charleston, but hotel was about 20mins from the city. Worth the stay though, would stay here again!

I've stayed in other Holiday Inn Express in the past and this was definitely one of the best experiences. The front desk staff was kind and the maintanence services were prompt. The only issue we encountered was a missing apple and cinnamon roll was missing upon our return which was my late night snack. The first room we had the A/C was not working properly and the phone did not work at all. I called front desk from my cell phone and they sent a maintenance man up to fix these issues. I pulled the filter out of the A/C unit and it was very dirty not to mention the cobwebs and dust on and in the bathroom light fixtures. After a failed attempt to fix […] the air and the phone they moved us to a different room. This room was better, however, when we woke the next morning half of the floor was soaked from the A/C leaking. I went to the front desk and was given just 22.00 in return for my troubles. We stayed fro 4 days and it was mediocre at best. They tried to charge me twice for a roll-away bed. Housekeeping did not clean my room until the 3rd day there and the handyman screamed and cursed at my child in the pool. Would not reccomend at all. People stayed in the parking lot behind the pool area partying and drinking until late at night! Not […] a good atmosphere for familes. Everyone enjoyed the stay. I always stay there 3 or 4 times ayear when visiting.

I don't know how this hotel got high reviews. This is the worst of all the Holiday Inn I have stayed in the past. The sheets in one of our room weren't change. There were hairs (lots of it). It seemed that the same sheet was made but not change. We called down and request new sheet and within 10 mins, new sheets were delivered but was told no one can […] change it. We had to change the sheet ourselve. The hallway were very hot...was not air conditioned. Check in and out was a breeze. Breakfast was good for what it is. There were sausages, omeletes, cereals, milk, juice (apple and OJ) though OJ taste funny...more like grape fruit. Close to a lot of thing, we were able to go across the street to Ruby Tuesday for dinner. For the money, there are better out there. It's a beautiful hotel and the room that we had was comfortable enough. However, the toilet in our room had obviously NOT been cleaned since the last guest had stayed there. There was "dirt" on the toilet seat and plenty of hairs around the bottom on of the toilet. When I called the front desk to ask to have the toilet cleaned I was told that housekeeping […] had left for the day. So, I asked if they had anyone else who could come clean it and this was the answer I recieved from the front desk personnel. "Is is really THAT dirty that you can't just use it?" .... REALLY?! Of course, I said that someone (anyone) else's dirt in a hotel bathroom was unacceptable and again was told that housekeeping was gone for the day. So I asked if they had a bottle of sanitizer and a rag (thinking that someone from the front desk could just come up and clean the toilet)... and was told "yes, we do. I will have someone from maintenance bring it up for you". So.... I cleaned the toilet myself. Again.... the room was comfortable enough and the rest of the room was clean. I was just disappointed in the response I was giving to the dirty toilet. But... I don't think it would deter me from trying that hotel again. Lees meer

Very friendly staff and a very neat and clean hotel. Perfect location!

Once we got the right conformation number it was fine although we did book a king smoking and got a king non-smoking. Other wise fairly nice stay for a cheap motel.

Overall it was a positive experience.Not too far from Charlotte and close to the highway. The hotel and room were clean and well maintained. Would recommend and stay here again.

Enjoyed my experience. I don't usually stay in 3 star hotels, but was referred to the Holiday Inn Express and I wasn't disappointed with the cleaniness and professionalism of the staff.

I was disappointed to see the lack of space in room. It by far is the smallest room I have ever stayed at in a Holiday Inn. The staff were okay, nothing out of the ordinary. The breakfast bar was not the best. Overall the stay was okay, but the small room and ordinary service would have me searching for somewhere different on my next stay. Not worth […] the money. Room was small and smelled, but the pool was very clean. Disappointed in the breakfast, but it was free, so I can't complain too much. Location to stores was extremely convenient.

Very clean and nice

We made a great decision to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Summerville. The location was close to Charleston with lots of restaurants and shopping next door. The hotel was clean and provided a free breakfast. I only wish the breakfast was hotter. But, we had a wonderful stay, and glad we chose this hotel and location.

We really enjoyed staying here on our trip to charleston and Daniel island. The hotel is probably about as far outside the historic area as you'd want to go, but still close to the best pizza at monza and other nice stuff. The parking is attached in a city run safe garage that'll fit full-size trucks height and it's twelve bucks a night, city run. The […] ac was very weak and didnt really help the stuffy air, but the bed was so soft and comfy and the bathroom was very nice. The best part is the breakfast that's included; biscuits, eggs, gravy, sausage, muffins, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and waffle irons that make your own delicious waffles, and tons of coffee and juices...really nice. Would definitely return here, the location is only a few blocks over from perfect so not bad all around. Lees meer

The bed was not confortable at all and when we woke up to take showers there was no hot water in either the sink or shower.

The Holiday Inn Express - Summerville was a perfect choice for us. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was more than accommodating. Their breakfast bar was more than I expected with a wide variety of food to choose from. The location was great for us...just a few blocks from our family yet close enough to Charleston to make it convenient […] to go sightseeing and enjoy a bit of the nightlife. I won't even be considering any other hotel next year when we go for the next reunion!! Lees meer

I always stay here when in the area. The grand really enjoyed her stay.

Unfortunately half the road sign was missing which made finding the place nestled among very tall trees and several other hotels in that location difficult. The entrance was calming/soothing. The rooms were clean, the AC worked heavenly, which wasn't the case once you left the lobby and went into some of the common areas of the hotel. It was very rainforest-like […] where the humidity. The room comfortably cool. The ice machine either stopped working or run out of ice. The vending machines didn't sell bottled water which I felt was needed due to the smell of the area's water supply (not bad if you like old egg salad sandwiches or sulfer springs). But I must say if you can look past the aformentioned minor issues, the Hotel is a great find for the price and the staff were the epitome of "southern hospitality" at its best--even during one of its more muggier weekends. Our room was to close to the ice machine and the washers and dryers. It was very nosiey all night. Other guest must have been washing clothes all night long, because I could hear everything that was going on out side my room. So I did not get a very good night sleep. The breakfast was much to be desired. There wasn't much selection.

Sound sleep is very important to me and the bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and fresh.

My fiancee and I were in Summerville for a friends wedding and our original arrangements fell through and staying at the Holiday Inn Express was last minute (the day before we needed to be there). We were given a first floor room. It was actually a handi-capped room (though we didn't need it), the hostest did ask if we would mind having one, and we […] said "no". The room was very clean. There was a king size bed and the bedding was amazing (not your typical itchy bedding). All of there rooms come with a mini fridge and microwave. We had really fast internet service from the room (we brought the lap top). The bathroom was big (it was a handi-cap bathroom). My only complaint about the bathroom was the you could only take a warm shower and not a hot shower. It was probably a safety feature but kind of annoying! The breakfast was good. It had cereals, muffins, biscuits (and gravy!), bagles, eggs and sausage, yougurt, juice drinks and milk (It was free I couldn't complain). The surrounding neighborhood was good. Right down the street was a really big shopping strip mall (I recommend going into the Wold Market... it was amazing)! There were a lot of resturants around. Over all it was a very good stay. If I ever have to be in the Summerville area again I will def make my arrangements at the Holiday Inn Express! Oh, and it's a close drive away from downtown Charleston! Lees meer

Staff very nice and polite. Room was very humid first night. Talked to front desk next morning and they had maintenance fix the problem.

The hotel is a very nice hotel located just off the highway in Summerville so it is very nice but the room that we were given was directly across the hallway from the laundry room. This is fine except that the staff started laundry which was quite loud at 5 am. This was definitely not good. For the price I paid, I hoped for a quiet room. That is my […] only complaint. Lees meer
