Sheraton Washington Hotel North in Beltsville

Okay.

The room smelled of smoke. Their customer service involves long waits and being forgotten about. If you like to be ignored and brushed off you've found your haven.

It was nice except I forgot my son's jacket in the room

After looking at many of the hotels in this area and reading many reviews, I decided to book this hotel because it seemed like a great value--great price, good location to D.C., comfortable bed, and very clean. However, I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I was expecting a great room that was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, but the cleanliness […] of the room was a completely different story. It seemed like the housekeeping staff rushed to finish. There were hairs (that were not mine) in the shower, sink area, toilet, and trash can. There was toothpaste splatter on the cabinet in the bathroom as well as moldy mildew in the shower head. I was so concerned that I checked the sheets layer by layer to make sure they were laundered. I'm happy I packed a travel size Clorox wipes and would have definitely complained and switched my room if I hadn't already unpacked. Don't book this hotel if you are expecting a clean room. Very good value for quality of room and service.

I only stayed at the Sheraton Washington North for one night but it was a pleasant one. The room was spotless and the bed was a delight. Too bad I couldn't stay longer but I'd go back in a heart beat.

Very comfortable beds and pretty quiet. SPG card gets you free internet and breakfast at the BWI Sheraton but not here. So what's up with that? Free internet in the lobby is not business friendly. But if you have AT&T internet, you can get on for free with your account. Plenty of free parking with grocery and CVS across the street. Easy access to/from […] I-95. They seem to do a good business and therefore seem not quite as accommodating as some other Sheratons (independently owned and operated). My hair dryer was missing. But the staff brought me another coffee maker instead! No English, so we had a sign-language conversation to straighten it out. Lees meer

we had a fantastic stay and they people are very nice.

I went withy daughter and niece. Went to Six Flags America which was only 25 min away. Convenient! Then went to Washington DC, only 25 min away as well. Nice time. The beds are very comfy, the room spacious, but just need bellman for those traveling with a lot of baggage. Overall worth it.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Washington Hotel North we had fun being there and will come again. Thank u all

My husband and I came to this location for a romantic rendezvous, we enjoyed our stay here. We were mostly in and out of the room but when we were there we were in love with the bed. One of the softest around. The only thing that I didn't prefer was the fact that a little further down the hall were a room full of younger people who were quite loud and […] whose smoking in the middle of the night woke me up. I didn't feel the need to complain because it was between 3 and 4am but next time we will request to be in an area where people like that are not. Lees meer

Very clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Staff was friendly and welcoming..

Beds very comfortable. We liked being able to purchase family movie. Room a little cramped. Restaurant adequate. Hotel smelled good.

You will need a car to get to this location. The hotel was very clean, linens very clean comfy and the staff was friendly. Not much in the amenities department and the restaurant leaves much to be desired, but if you want a clean and nice place to lay your head I would stay here.

Hotel staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Clean and comfortable accommodations, with attention to convenience. Easy drive to DC, and a great alternative to pricier downtown hotels.

the internet access machine in Lobby are not useful, it is very slow

when we arrived at hotel, it was beautiful, minus the empty reception desk. when an employee finally cam ein, he couldnt even say hello (Kristopher), handed us our key and started doing other things. I said "hello", then he greeted bk, I asked if we were disturbing him, he said "not really". In the morning on our way to Ihop, walked through reception […] and 2 employees were talking, not stopping to greet us as we waiting for them to stop and offer assistance. Overral room and building was great, however, working for a company whose #1 objective is greta customer service, and my bf owning his own restaurant, we strive for GREAT customer service and opportunities to "wow" the consumers. The employees are a poor representation of this hotel atmosphere. I am hoping for better service the next time that I check in. I live in VA and get away on weekends just to relax, and to walk into a non-caring atmosphere is not acceptable Lees meer

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and enjoyed it, but my most recent experience was poor. The ironing board in the room was old and dirty, my neighbors were very noisy, and the TV did not work properly. The front desk was not very helpful in resolving any of these issues.

Great location with easy access to 95 and 495. Prices a the hotel's restaurant were fairly reasonable compared to average hotel restaurant prices. However the food is just o.k., nothing special. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I have stayed at this hotel previously and probably would again.

The bed was soo comfortable, close to great places to eat, two minutes from the movies. Room was clean. Staff is helpful.

Overall the hotel was nice. The room was a bit small but the bathroom was a nice size. The sheets could have been cleaner

My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Washington North Hotel in Rm. 514 from June 29th to the 30th. In general the room was fine but the finishing touches were overlooked: · There was no light switch at the room’s entrance which made it necessary for me to fumble to the bathroom where I put that light on so I could then see enough to turn on the […] switch for each individual lamp. (There was a blank plate where the switch plate should have been.) · The phone did not work. I had to use the hall phone because… · There was no hairdryer in the room. · Also, the bath mat was wet because… · The shower dripped. · The hook on the back of the bathroom door was missing. On the other hand the staff was wonderful! The front desk staff and the shuttle drivers were helpful and courteous. Hopefully Rm. 514 will be brought up to its 3 star standing and its price. Good location and a friendly staff. I was pleased with the condition of the htoel in general however I was dissapointed with the cleanleness of our room. Mainly the carpet was the problem it was stained all over and looked like it really needed to be replaced.

The luggage trolleys were not accessible. I think there may have only been for the amount of rooms and floors for this particular hotel. Otherwise our stay was enjoyable and the coffee was fantastic; my husband and I are avid coffee drinkers.

This only applies to this particular stay. The hotel clerk was unwilling to accommodate simple requests. I was given sub-standard service. I had to move my room several times. I usually stay at this hotel and love the accomodations. This stay was horrible; I honestly hope that this is not a sign of things to come.

Attended a meeting a the hotel. The meeting room was poorly laid out and the sound system left alot to be desired. The accomodations were comforable, although here was a long black hair (not mine) on the tile surround of the tub/shower. Made me wonder how clean the rest of the room was. Next to the elevator and people were loud late into the night.

Enjoyed my room and the view! Even with the highway, nearby, was not bothered by sounds of cars or trucks. Wish I didn't have to have such a short stay, nicely located and easily accessible. Would stay there again if oppourtunities arise in my favor for this location.

When we entererd the hotel, there were a bunch of teenagers talking loudly in the lobby. It was out of control and no staff cared. Also the staffer at the front desk wasn't friendly.

nice hotel, no problems here.

This hotel was well worth the stay in the prefect location, and dining in the area, with the nicest staff at the front waiting on there customer at the front desk. I definitely would stay there again,and would recommend this hotel too my friends.

It all depends on what you are trying to do during your stay. I was only looking for a hotel close to 95 and just outside Wash DC. I own a company with a local office near DC so this hotel was perfect for that. Although nice, this was not the nicest Sheraton I have ever been to. However, everthing was clean and everyone was pleasant. I ate in the hotel […] restaurant three days in a row and was very happy with the menu options. Breakfest buffet was sufficient and typical with pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, yogurt, fruit, etc. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was very close to Metro if that is a requirement for you. I would stay here again. Lees meer

At first glance I thought the hotel was going to be nice. The rooms are noise, specially the ones by the elevators. On our second night there was a party going on across the hall and hotel staff did nothing to quiet them. The rooms are very small. The hotel is about 15 min from the metro and then the metro ride is about 30 to DC. Not very convenient […] if you plan on touring DC. Lastly, the hotel gives you two cups of coffee in you room, if you want more from the loby you have to pay. Overall, I would not make this mistake again. Lees meer

I had to request for a microwave and refrigerator after being told it was one of our amenities. I then had to order more towels due to the lack of them in the room
