Far from center (15 minutes by taxi). Nice lake and park to walk around. Check out time at noon is quite ok. Could not get too much information about activities, taxi-prices, etc at the reception.

Zoals bijna alles in Schotland een tikkie aftands, maar het uitzicht maakt hier alles goed! Prima rustige plek, aardig personeel en een lekker zwembad voor een paar baantjes alvorens te ontbijten. Wie in de omgeving van Glasgow moet zijn maar niet in de drukte wil zitten, heeft hier een prachtig adres. Geef in je tomtom aan dat je naar centrum Langbank wil, en pas als je daar bent de Old Greenock Road. Anders kom je in een ander dorpje terecht.

Valuev for money! Aanrader Pluspunten: + goede prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding + nette ruime kamer (nr 8) + rustige buurt + kamer is goed te verduisteren (uitslapen!) + niet ih centrum, maar slechts 100m van metrostation Kelvinbridge, dus in 15-20 min downtown Glasgow of Ibrox Park Minpuntjes (hele kleintjes!): - ontbijt tot 9:30 - de geur van bacon op de kamer voor en tijdens ontbijt - duurt een paar dgn voor je weet hoe de thermostaatkraan van de douche werkt.
Ligging.
Marriott Glasgow bevindt zich in het centrum van Glasgow, dicht bij Kerk St. Vincent Street, Galerie voor Moderne Kunst en Schots conferentie- en tentoonstellingscentrum. In de buurt liggen ook George Square en Clyde Auditorium.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Marriott Glasgow heeft een volledig uitgeruste spa, een healthclub en een binnenzwembad. Tegen betaling kan je in openbare ruimtes gebruikmaken van een snelle draadloze internetverbinding, terwijl de accommodatie over een computer met internetverbinding beschikt. Dit hotel met 4 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum met 24/7 toegang, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en een limousine- of autoservice. "Aanrader voor centrum Glasgow"
Prima hotel gelegen aan het centrum van Glasgow. Centraal station is om de hoek en de M8 ook. Kamers hebben standaard formaat maar alles is aanwezig en de bedden zijn heerlijk. Ook de grootte ervan was goed en de kussens heerlijk. Flatscreen tv met ruim 30 kanalen. Enige minpuntje was dat we na de kamerservice een zakje thee kregen en een flesje badschuim. […] Oh ja en we hebben een late checkout aangevraagd die kosteloos werd geregeld. Als ik weer naar Glasgow ga zal ik dit hotel boeken. Lees meer

"Excellent location if you're driving into Glasgow"
Overall a very good hotel. No complaints. Service was great. Breakfast was lovely. Have stayed in 4 and 5 stars in Glasgow. This was definitely one of the better 4 stars. Ask for a room that's higher up in the building as I could hear a bit of the traffic and I was on floor 6 out of 10.

Nice hotel,comfortable rooms,did find it hard to get a taxi to where our party wanted to go on the saturday evening.

i was abit disappointed at the pool area there was no fresh water, which is needed in sauna&steam rooms. and there was no disabled access getting to and from the pool.also there was a piece of chewing gum on the side of the pool. but just to say on a positive note cant fault hotel it was comfortable&staff helpful.

Stayed here for a work's party in Feb 12. Despite the fact the hotel seemed pretty busy the room was very quiet. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was good. The area immediately around the Marriott is basically motorway and underpasses, with a 10 minute walk into the daylight... so it loses a star for location, although as I was there for a party […] I didn't go out much anyway. This was a stay due to SECC concert and the hotel looked lovely and clean. Room 110 was opposite building works in the hotel and the floor had plastic sheet on it. Not exactly 4* comfort, room was lacking basic upkeep and bedding was marked. Biggest issue was an air lock in the heating system so no room heating and they were fully booked so no other […] alternatives. I am now still abscent from work after picking up a chill due to their negligence. My pregnant wife faired slightly better and managed 8 hours sleep to my 4/5 hours. Pleasant staff, ideal location.Comfortable room but bathroom and shower condition dated and in need of upgrading.Overall i would recommend this hotel for short stays as the location is excellent for motorway access, city centre shopping and theatre's.Dining is over priced for limited menu choice.If you are staying at this hotel,guests paying top prices […] should not be charged same daily parking rates as short stay overnight's. Hotel was lovely and staff very courteous. Very comfortable. Leisure facilities difficult to access from the main hotel with lots of stairs - could be a problem if any mobility issues. No jacuzzi.

4* hotel now showing signs of neglect. Various building repairs have been there for some time but I still stay here because it's a comfortable and quiet hotel. Wasn't that easy to get to, found it quick enough but did 3 laps of the orbital road/town centre to get to the right road to the hotel. Good reception service, comfortable room on the 5th floor but the fridge was not in service, the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work and the ice cube machine and snack vending machine was out of order. "Lacking those special touches"
Firstly, the positive-the hotel staff are delightful, very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, this hotel has minor irritations, which started to add up. For a start one of this lifts was broken. This meant a long wait for the lift and then when it did arrive is was packed full-rather cosy for my liking. Then it […] took about 15 minutes of wandering about (using the stairs due to the overcrowded lift) so I could find a working ice machine to chill my bottle of white wine! I was sharing with my daughter and we both had large double beds, which were very comfortable. Unfortunately, we were woken at 1.30am by noisy guests slamming doors and chatting until 2am. Also it is very stuffy in the room and the window only opens a fraction. I was also looking forward to using the leisure facilities but was disappointed to find that there was no hot tub/jacuzzi and this was primarilly the reason why I booked this hotel. Saying that the pool was pleasant and very clean. We did enjoy our stay but these small touches help to elevate it from a pleasant enough trip to a fantastic stay. Lees meer

Generally satisfied. Good breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. Good location, quiet yet still within ten minutes walk of Central station. Only downsides, were slow check in, though I suspect it was a trainee member of staff, which is understandable, and heating/air con control in our room didn't work. I asked for a early check in and i got it, the Hotel is very clean , rooms nice and big, its a good place to stay, staff are very nice and the breakfast is excellent in the Morning,

The Marriott is a good quality hotel with excellent, efficient service, 10 min walk from Glasgow city centre. Our room was lovely and meals were good value. We had a great time in the city and particularly enjoyed the fantastic museums and galleries.

All that could be asked for during our stay was covered off. Reception was friendly, parking was fine, lifts all in working order, room was perfect, breakfast was good, checkout was quick and all staff were courteous and friendly. First time staying at Marriott, I will be back for another stay, hotel spotlessly clean, room very comfortable. Very civilised breakfast time, up to midday, which is great at the weekend, although I do believe that this was because the hotel was very busy. A great choice at breakfast. First time at this hotel. Got good discounted rate. Room big with king size comfy bed. TV was on with personal welcome message, nice touch. Bathroom fair size. Shower not that powerful but served the purpose. Hot & cold buffet breakfast served until 1200 in bright dining room. Staff very polite & helpful. Approx 10 min walk to Argyle Street. Very good hotel, nice room/comfortable, good location close to the Central station and city centre. Great breakfast, ideal for our short stay
Overall very good. Ice maker on 5th floor did not work in spite of reporting it to reception on 2 days.

I chose this hotel for the price, but it turned out to be a good choice for many reasons. It was clean, quiet, and the service was excellent. Of particular note was the helpful concierge desk - our stay was wonderful in part due to their guidance. Rooms were larger than standard UK rooms - nicely decorated and very comfortable. Hotel sits back off the […] main road and made for quiet sleeping. Cons: a little off the beaten path. Although the tour buses come right in front of the hotel, you should plan to walk quite a bit to get to anything. It would be difficult to stay here and not use the red-bus, subway (which we never used) or taxi. Overall - a nice place to stay. I'd lodge here again if returning to Glasgow. "Marginal service at standard Marriott"
The hotel was fine, just like every other Marriott anywhere in the world. The service was below the typical Marriott standard, we pulled up the the front of the Hotel with 2 van, 9 people staying in 5 rooms for 2 nights each and was told we could not unload the bags or the passengers, when I asked where we could go to unload I was told "over there" […] but there was not a place for anyone to park "over there" so I ended up in the loading dock.
