Goed hotel. Vlakbij downtown Asheville. Dichtbij de highway. Ontbijt ala carte. Bij aankomst gratis biertje van het huis. goedkoopste kamer is prima, ruim en alles aanwezig.
Ligging.
Howard Johnson Inn - Asheville Biltmore bevindt zich in Asheville, dicht bij Smith-McDowell House, Landgoed Biltmore en Winkelcentrum Asheville. In de ruime omgeving liggen ook Downtown Market Asheville en Asheville Art Museum.

"Very convenient one-night stop"
The hotel was located very close to our exit from the Biltmore estate. We arrived earlier in the day for the Biltmore tour and was surprised upon exiting that the hotel was where it was. The room was pleasant and clean and was certainly not lacking anything. There are plenty of places to eat surrounding the hotel. had a great time visiting with friends I had when I lived down here. was able to go see some beautiful areas since the rains didn't come until after we left. we got very lucky!!!
"A GEM in the midst of choices!"
The Patel family are operating a very nice, clean and affordable hotel. It is an older (but well-maintained) property located in a convenient location near the Biltmore House and Blue Ridge Parkway. I will look forward to my future visits.

Too many feral cats, moldy bathroom with tiles falling off. The view on our patio would be better if they trimmed the bushes and put grass instead of weeds. Otherwise, it was very reasonably priced.

The hotel was OK but needed updating but was good for the $. Bathroom did smell like mold. Feral cats were interesting on the patio.

Nice staff, nice price, nice location....BUT it took us FOREVER to find our room. We finally found it after walking up & down stairs & touring many hallways. Nice place for the price though.

Sadly is was at night when we arrived, but the hotel was great and the neighborhood was as well. Lots of geat places to eat and lots to see. The town/city of Ashville is very beautiful, and I mentioned to my wife that it felt like the kind of town one would like to live in.

Nice room, clean. The people were very friendly. The first room we were given had a smell but they gladly gave us another which was very good. Breakfast was simple and good. Would definitely stay there again.

It is a good hotel to stay...we liked it..room was good and very clean...I would recommend it...
The hotel was adequate and the breakfast good. It is an older hotel in average condition. I did miss a refrigerator and a micro wave, and will probably not return because of the lack of these.

This hotel was a bit old, with the look of the 80's. I have no complaints about the hotel other than the horrible quality of the channels on the TV, most were insanely fuzzy, and the rock hard pillows. There were cats outside on the balcony, which is a complaint to most people on this website, but i didn't find them annoying at all.

I don't know what all the fussy reviews are about - if you want a cheap launch pad for exploring Asheville this hotel is perfect. Rooms are clean with everything you need except for refrigerators, and it's even walking distance to a main shopping/eating district. "Not the cleanest"
There was water damage around the bathroom so I was extremely thankful that I brought my slippers! It didn't feel clean at all and I am usually not picky. I am not the hotel customer that looks for the flaws but it simply wasn't clean; I couldn't ignore it. I ended up using my outdoor coat to cover the pillow. Hotel access is poor, and not well indicated. Beds are like sleeping on bricks. Hotel should NOT advertise a "breakfast"; rolls and coffee are not breakfast.

Just watch bottoming out when turning into the entrance drive--it's not kind to low standing vehicles.

After 3 attempts we finally got a room that didn't smell like cigarette smoke and had a refrigerator. The breakfast was worth passing on since the bread, pastries and cereal seemed old and there wasn't much more after that. The condition of the hotel was poor and seemed dirty. The entry doors to the building was broken and made the area seem unsafe […] even though we were in walking distance to the Biltmore estate. I will not stay here again. Lees meer
"Convenient to the Biltmore"
Very convenient to the Biltmore and the village. Also to the interstate. Hotel is old and musty. Room was fairly decent however there was a visible stain on the chair and hair on the blanket. Besides that everything was clean. For a quick weekend stay this hotel will do fine.
"You get what you pay for..."
We've stayed here several times in the past when visiting Biltmore. We chose this hotel based on those past stays because it was clean, comfortable, close to Biltmore, and included a full breakfast (which was very good) with the price of the room. This time, we knew the full breakfast was gone, but the hotel rates were still good. We booked for a one-night […] stay. I've never noticed this before, bu the location of the hotel is right up against the non-pretty side of the town, which wasn't that great of a view. However, the plus side was the three stray cats that apparenlty live at the hotel and beg for food from rooms. They were cute. The first thing we noticed when we walked to our rooms is the old, musty smell. Granted the hotel is old, but the smell could have been eliminated. We notice that some of the doors are broken and instructions are taped to the door on how to open it. We get to our room (non-smoking) and the only item that looks new are the bedspeads. The TV is an old model, one sink is broken, the bathroom smells like smoke and the nobs on the AC/Heat unit are broken. it is almost impossible to adjust the temperature. Overall, if you are looking for a very cheap and short stay, I'd stay here as a last resort. We will never stay here again. Lees meer
"Our trip to the Biltmore Estate"
We stayed at the Howard Johnson on our trip to the Biltmore Estate. The hotel is an older hotel but it was fairly well maintained. Our room was comfortable, and the continental breakfast was good. Our stay was in November and one thing I didn't like was I could not get the heat set to a comfortable setting. We were please with our stay. The hotel needs upgrading but the beds were very comfortable and the rooms quiet. The nights we stayed they were sold out and we did not hear a sound from the adjoining rooms or hallway. We would stay there again.

I booked the room through hotels.com and got an excellent rate. The catch is that you have to pay for the room in advance. The hotel is very close to the Biltmore. "Nice Experience"
We had a great time in Asheville, and the hotel was very convienently located to a music festival we went to. The staff was very friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. We will stay there again next time we visit. :)

"I wasn't expecting the Ritz"
A great location, nice service, and it didn't smell like death (like someone said before). The place did, however, have holes in the sheets, a TV that didn't work, and a view that was quite pathetic. All-in-all, I'd stay there again, since it was the best price and the people who worked their were very nice.

"The Howard Johnsons near Biltmore - convenient"
If you're looking for convenient and economical this is your hotel. Nothing deluxe about it, but it was clean and close to the Biltmore and downtown. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good. The coffee wasn't the best, but there's a Starbucks on the way to the Biltmore.

"HOJO Biltmore Estaate"
The room was great, except there was no refrigerator or microwave as listed,
Stayed last yr the a/c didn't work. This yr, the a/c made a noise every few min. They put us in another room and the heat wouldn't come on.

this motel has a view of the highway in the front, a gas station to one side, an Arby's to the other side, and a slum neighborhood to the rear. there were at least 50 wild cats looming about the property at all times. every night that i was there i had to pull at least 2 stink bugs off of the curtains on the sliding glass doors. when you entered the […] room it smelled very musty and stale even though it was a non-smoking room. i was present when a guest complained that the milk for breakfast tasted funny. the person in charge even let us change rooms because of the bugs, but the other room had them too! Our stay was very nice. The only complaint we have is that the hotel room was a non smoking room and the room smelled like smoke when we entered. The air conditioner in our room would never get real cool it stayed about the same temperature no matter the setting.

Funky and ancient, which is surprising considering its location to the Biltmore village and the rest of Asheville. The place seems consistently booked, which begs the question as to why no upgrades to the facility have been made. Anyway, this was a last minute booking and the price was reasonable. Don't expect to want to hang out in the room.

The hotel is a little old and run down but the room was clean, the staff were friendly and the location was perfect. As we were in Asheville to hike in the mountains, we were only in the hotel to clean up and sleep so the lack of updated plumbing and decor didn't bother us. We traveled from Ohio because our daughter was starting her externship at the Biltmore Estates. We were at the motel for 3 days. For what we needed the motel sufficed. When we come back down to see our daughter, we will choose a different place to stay. With no restaurant at the motel means we needed to get into the car which after a 10 hour drive, […] that was the last thing we wanted to do. Our room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is a dump in a great location. All of the rooms and grounds need a complete renovation.
