Courtyard by Marriott Fishermans Wharf in San Francisco

Great location and very friendly, helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room.Very enjoyable stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Courtyard Marriott!!! Courteous, friendly, helpful service. Everyone was just great! Highly recommend it. We would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I enjoyed the hotel, it was easy to find, clean and the staff very helpful. The parking fee was steep but to be able to leave the truck and take public transport bought us time to enjoy the city instead of looking for parking where ever we wanted to browse.

This was an extremely well maintained hotel within walking distance to everything at Fishermans Wharf. The Lobby was not as elegant as one might expect, but with all the best tourist areas a short walk away, who is going to hang out in the lobby? The room was huge, nicely appointed in a minimalist style. My only complaint was that it smelled as if someone […] had spilled air freshener in the room. It was eye burning strong. Had I not been so exhausted the first night, I would have asked for a room change. After running the air conditioner/fan through the night, the smell had mostly dissipated. The towels/linens were somewhat below the quality that I would have expected, but did I mention the incredible location? The staff were wonderful, courteous, and professional. The valet parking is very convenient and well staffed. And again, the location was the best. I would most definitely stay here again, and would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of touring that part of San Francisco. Lees meer

After checking in at 11:30 p.m. for a quick 12 hours stay, I awoke to find my desk, handbag and briefcase covered in ants that were streaming in through the closed window. While the hotel staff was quick to move me to another room, I was cleaning ants out of my laptop and purse for the next two hours.

My family stayed at this hotel over the New Years weekend. This hotel is in the center of everything. You can walk to the Pier, Ghirardelli Square, and the bus/trolley stop to get you to Union Station is right around the corner. The hotel room was beautiful and the staff was nice and helpful. Our room was next to the alley. It was very noisy at night. We heard some drunk people shouting and fightingt. My kids were scared. People upstairs were party all night. This was the perfect place to stay. Able to walk easily and safely everywhere, public transportation available all around, many sights to explore on foot. Lots of interesting restaurants and shopping. Very close to bay and marina. All staff was friendly and cooperative.

My family and I stayed at this well appointed hotel for one week from 6th October 2011 and were extremely impressed with the quality of accommodation and the excellent and attentive friendly service from staff. The room was most comfortable and the beds were great for a good night's sleep, the pay TV and free wi-fi made a difference. Walking distance to just about everything. The staff was nice. Hotel in good shape. A little noisy at night especially in side alley but not too bad. The "Bistro" is way overpriced for the quality of food. For a great breakfast go to Joanies just one block away. I would definetely stay there again.

The hotel is in a great location at the wharf and the staff are ultra-helpful and super nice. Would highly recommend and will go back next time in San Francisco! Thanks!

Everything we needed-two comfy queen beds for 4 people; coffee in the morning; free wi-fi and computers with printers in the lobby; easy walking to Fishermans Wharf and cable car; very clean and quiet during our 5-day stay. would definitely return.

The hotel itself was fine. However, we did not enjoy the area at all. The pictures we had seen of the Wharf were far nicer. What we got was the US's answer to Blackpool in England. And we didn't like that. In hind sight we think we would have enjoyed staying in the centre of SF more. Not the hotel's fault but disappointing all the same. Great location right in the middle of the tourist area. Unfortunately, our room was over an alley way where homeless men were doing drugs and fighting during the night.

CLEAN...convieniant....easy walk to most everything. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. A joy to have been a guest at this hotel.

This hotel was ideal for a stay in San Francisco. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The room was impeccable and easily accommodated four people. I had to specifically request four people for one room with two queen beds. The websites only allowed two to a room. I'm glad I asked. The location was so convenient, except from the airport. BART metro […] is four miles away. A shuttle service is availabe though. With a larger group, you can take BART and then a taxi to the hotel, as this would be more economical than a shuttle. Those employees tasked with clearing the rooms sometimes take it upon themselves to ignore the hard-to-miss Do Not Disturb sign and knock / bang on the door of a given room or rooms at a fairly early hour anyway. The idea, of course, is to get their work done early so that they can leave the job early. Years ago, while staying in a Milwaukee hotel, […] an employee walked down the hall and deliberately banged on every door at a relatively early 7:30 AM. The goal was to awake people so that they could not get back to sleep and would likely leave the room well before check-out time and vacate the room; thus making it available to be cleaned. Having arrived after midnight the only some 7 hours earlier with about 5.5 hours of sleep under my belt, this interruption was especially disruptive. This same event occurred during the first night of my two night stay at Courtyard by Marriott Fisherman's Wharf. The bang on the door came at 0830 AM, while I was still partially asleep. The room cleaner was mildly apologetic, but not particularly sincere. I reported this event to the manager, and was told that this behavior was not policy and the person who had awakened me would be reminded of the hotel's policy. This is a failure of management to clearly delineate the conditions where a room may be presumed empty even when a Do Not Disturb Sign has accidentally be left on the door handle after the room has been vacated. An unnecessary interruption of sleep can be remarkably disruptive to the person awakened, and last the remainder of the day. This behavior must be clearly defined as absolutely prohibited, and before any knock on any door with a displayed Do Not Disturb Sign displayed, the Front desk must be consulted to determine if the occupant of the room has indeed checked out, or as in my case, is simply sleeping in. The whole idea of a hotel room is to isolate the occupant from the work-a-day world distractions around them. Violating this concept diminishes the concept of the com Lees meer

Excellent choice, close to trolleys and fabulous restaurants.

The hotel had great location. About equal distance from the Wharf as well as Ghirardelli Square. made for nice walks to and from our destinations. Very quiet! Our room was directly across from the Cannery where there was a HUGE Cinco de Mayo party and we could not hear a thing inside our room. The staff was all smiles and very personable.

We came into San Francisco for a large event and were not able to see certain sites... But the hotel was very accommodating in suggesting other activities in the area! Great service and very friendly staff!

A very clean comfortable room, one of the few hotels with Queen beds. Rooms were nice and roomy and the cafe had good food if you were wanting an early breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful if you had questions about getting somewhere in the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if ever in San Francisco.

Our room was VERY clean and comfortable. This was the only hotel we could find that had 2 queen beds available, instead of 2 doubles. We had to laugh, though, when we opened the curtains to a view consisting only of the big blue parking structure behind the hotel. Oh well. We weren't going to be hanging out in the room anyway. We were pleasantly surprised […] to learn that this hotel was right around the corner from the City Bus Tours we had purchased. Very convenient. Our son loved the In and Out Burger next door, too. Wonderful staff, really nice room. One warning, though -- avoid rooms that face Beach Street, as the noise of the trucks going by is loud. Oh, and cafe for breakfast is open only until 10 a.m. (no comp breakfast here) but there are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel.

The room was very comfortable. The location was great, just blocks from Ghiradelli and pier 39, also next door to In-n-out burger. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. We would defiantly stay here again.

That's what they say. This Hotel is in a great place for ALL of the public transportation, rental car place next door and if you are driving you can zip through the city and all roads come right back to the Hotel. Parking is stiff, but hey your in the "City By The Bay"

The hotel staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the location is proximate to both Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli Square. The hotel hallways need refurbishing, however, and the coffee shop needs to extend its hours dramatically. Parking is pricey, but convenient to the hotel with free in and out privileges. Overall, this was a good place to stay. The location was very convenient, the hotel (fairly recently renovated) was very clean and comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. There is a nice little snack bar (called Bistro) that was good for breakfast. No charge for internet service. The staff were a little hit and miss - very nice but not overly efficient […] and it seemed to require two people to do anything from checking in to organizing a car to the airport. We had called the hotel in advance to request connecting rooms for our family of five, but they had no record of the request so the first night we had to split the adults and kids over two separate rooms. Great location on Beach street with easy walks to many great sites and attractions. Accomodatioins were a good value for the price and would recommend to friends and family. Room was large and clean and everthing worked well. Parking is next door and easy to get in out if needed with hotel scan ticket. The room was very nice and clean. There was some street noise, but that was to be expected at this location. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early and get at late check out. Very comfortable bed. Parking is additional and expensive. Small fitness room. Great location!

For the area the price was very high, but the hotel and room were very good.

Was very happy with the choice. All staff very friendly and the hotel is in great condition. If you're looking to stay in Fisherman's Wharf, can't imagine a better location.

Hotel was under renovation, but it wasn't much of a hassle. The staff were great. Free breakfast was given each morning because the restaurant was under renovation as well. Fair deal. Marriott always seems to impress me with their consistent service, comfort, and quality.
