Heerlijk hotel, niet ver van Sea World, San Diego Zoo, uss Midway, Gaslamp, Old Town en het strand. Allemaal binnen acceptabele tijd per auto te bereiken. Super mooi hotel met ruime kamers. Het is wel een gehorig hotel, wat vooral in het weekend lawaai met zich mee bracht van buren. Door de weeks was de marine aan de overkant van het water met trainingen bezig. Dit vonden wij niet heel storend, maar het geluid is er wel. Verder zit ontbijt er niet bij in en is heel duur als je dat nog bij wilt nemen. Dat is echt een minpunt. Als je dit hotel boekt, hou er rekening mee dat het twee locaties zijn. Wij zaten in de tower en het 'grotere gebeuren' was verder op. We hadden wel een lobby, servicebalie, restaurant en verwarmd zwembad, dus dat is prima voor elkaar. De starbucks en de grote lobby van de foto's zit in het andere gedeelte. De kamers zijn echt super ruim! We hadden een ruim zitgedeelte en eettafel erbij, en dat voor een gewone kamer. Uitzicht op zee was erg mooi.

Het hotel ligt midden in het uitgaansgebied; veel restaurants in de omgeving en ook de winkelstraat is om de hoek. De bediening is gastvrij en zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt is echter simpel, maar dat schijnt in Amerika normaal te zijn. Kortom: als je op zoek bent naar een centraal gelegen hotel met alle gewenste voorzieningen in de buurt en ruime kamers, dan ben je bij Gaslamp Plaza suites op het juiste adres!

Hip trendy. Wifi in hal beneden is gratis. Op kamer voor 24 uur vijftien dollar. Vind ik wel veel. Hotel is eigentijds. Drankjes aan de bar vrij prijzig. Hotel is Veel minder stijf en goedkoper dan het Hyatt. Wel werd er volop gebouwd en was dakterras niet open. Parkeren kan met valet parking (vijfendertig dollar per dag) of rondom hotel. Wel goed kijken of je goed staat ivm schoonmaken van de straat. Wij hadden boete van zestig dollar ivm neus van de auto de verkeerde kant op staan.

Ligging.
Comfort Inn at the Harbor ligt in Beach Cities in San Diego, dicht bij Rock Church, NTC Promenade en Point Loma Nazarene University. In de ruime omgeving liggen ook Seaworld en Ocean Beach Park.
Accommodatievoorzieningen.
Gasten krjjgen gratis ontbijt. Naast een buitenzwembad en hulp bij excursies/tickets heeft Comfort Inn at the Harbor voorzieningen als een wasserij. Draadloos internet is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere koffie in de lobby, gratis kranten in de lobby en een conciërgeservice. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van een luchthavenshuttle ((op verzoek)). Parkeren op locatie is gratis. De accommodatie beschikt over speciaal daarvoor bestemde rookruimtes. De volledige renovatie van deze accommodatie werd in 2010 voltooid.
Hotelkamers.
Comfort Inn at the Harbor heeft 46 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een kluis en een gratis krant. Een draadloze snelle internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar. Elke televisie heeft premiumkanalen via de kabel en betaalfilms. Alle kamers beschikken over een bureau en een telefoon met gratis lokale gesprekken (hiervoor kunnen beperkingen gelden). Elke badkamer is voorzien van douches en een föhn.
Elke kamer heeft een koelkast en een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een strijkplank/strijkijzer en een klokradio. Bovendien wordt dagelijks een huishoudservice aangeboden. Op verzoek zijn voorzieningen als een telefonische wekdienst beschikbaar. Op de kamers van Comfort Inn at the Harbor mag niet worden gerookt.

Bij warm weer is het enorm druk in het water bij Mission Beach en Pacific Beach, twee van de populairste stranden van San Diego. Op deze relaxte plekken worden af en toe boerenmarkten en kunstfestivals georganiseerd. Mission Boulevard verbindt de stranden met elkaar en loopt noordwaarts, richting La Jolla.

The only problem I found with the property was that the shower door was very small. You have to be a very think person to get into the shower.

"Small"
Small hotel. Small parking lot. Small room. Small bathroom. Great location. Reasonable rate. Tons of hotel/motels in this immediate area shop around could probably find something more spacious for around the same price. Not a terrible stay in a pinch (which was my situation) no airport shuttle.

Front desk clerk was very nice and cordial, gave a special care package upon check in. Room was ok, but it was somewhat damp.

This hotel met my 'standards' of Clean, Comfortable and Cheap. Desk staff were very helpful, incld. the Manager. Price included breakfast and parking!! easy to ride the local transit, and the location was good. We enjoyed the stay and plan to return.

Close to scenic routes over looking cliffs and pacific ocean. Close to downtown night life and great food. Parking is limited so if you love nite life spots can be all gone when you return in the morning.

Although the bathroom was extremely small, it was very clean. Towels were nice and everything worked. "Good value"
For a budget hotel this property is very nice. Very close to Shelter Island, you can walk to several nice restaurants that are near by. Nice deck and pool for sun sets and sun bathing. Very clean and nice recent refurb.
Well designed, nice marble accents, very6 clean. The location was central to San Diego, between downtown and Seaworld. Great balance of value and convenience. Wifi a little spotty, but it worked.

The hotel is perfectly located only 3-4 min walk from Hollywood Blv. Great looking rooms and really good American breakfast with a lot to choose from.

We enjoyed are stay, the hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. The location was perfect for us since we had a short three day stay, it was less then two miles to the airport, yet the area was very quiet. I would stay at this location again if I traveled to San Diego in the future.
Very old property with small rooms but the noise level from traffic outside the room was not pleasant. A lot of choices in San Diego this will be placed last on the list to date..

We had a pleasant stay in this hotel the weekend of George Lopez comedy concert. Our hotel room was very cozy. I'm considering this hotel for our Sea World trip.

The Hotel staff was exceptionally nice upon check-in, however during check-out they did not even ask if everything was okay. They just asked "Which room?" The parking was very limited, so after our event we had to park in another parking lot, as ours was full. We had to walk about a block to get to our room. The shower was very small. "Close to all the fun"
This hotel was perfect for us. Nothing fancy just real comfortable and close to everything we wanted to do. The staff was extremely nice and the continental breakfast was fresh and good. We had a great time on our vacation and will stay here again.

Clean, quiet, and quaint. Our room was tiny; the bathroom a scant 25 square feet. The shower is for Smurfs--I'm only 5'7', and even I had to do the limbo to rinse my hair. Yes, it is only a 2-star hotel, but it is very clean and very quiet.

San Diego is big! so wherever you are you are gonna have to travel to see it all. This hotel is in a great spot inbetween it all so travelling out to the different places was easy. The location was nice and felt safe. Loads of bars and eating places of all scales surrounded the hotel. The reception was friendly and helpful. The room was very small but decorated nicely and up to date. There was a very tiny bathroom with a sink/toilet and again, very small shower with poor water pressure (as usual for hotels). The bed was a little hard for my liking. But the hotel was very clean, in a nice area (with a little noise from traffic). Staff was VERY friendly.

One of the cleanest Comfort Inns I have ever been in. Nice breakfast selection. The people were great. Room seemed small. Bed took up most of room space. Since very little time was spent int he room, this was ok.

"Good Hotel for the Price and Location"
Front desk staff was extremely helpful getting me settled and with an internet connection. I used this hotel to stay the night and catch an early flight home. For the money the hotel was better than expected. Room was small. Room was clean. Everything worked. Bathroom was clean. I was scheduled to stay at the Holiday Inn in C by the Sea - That place was a DUMP. This wasn't the Ritz - but in comparing the other options it was okay. The lack of adequate water pressure is a deal-killer. The shower was more like a "dribble".
Enkelt men greit hotell. Ligger litt utenfor sentrum, men kort vei med bil. Gratis parkering + vaskeri i hotellet er et pluss. Hyggelig betjening. Frokost er med i prisen, sånn passe da, typsik amerikansk men en ble da mett. Veldig hyggelig betjening.
