Comfort Inn at Carowinds in Fort Mill

I was bummed out that I talked with the hotel staff about Carowinds and knew I was wanting to go. The hotel staff called me a lier by saying I did not talk with the staff about that. I feel they just wanted to book the room despite the fact that Carowinds was closed. AND I would have still booked the room I would have just had a reservation for when […] the park opened. We stayed one night to break up a twenty-hour drive. The breakfast was perfect and the room was clean, bathroom was clean and that was our only concern. Great value, I would use this hotel again for the same purpose.

This is a very "used" hotel. It sits directly across from Carowinds and you can tell there have been many kids staying here. Although the rooms were clean, the bathrooms were tiny, and the TV was old. The worse thing was the water. It tastes horrible and you could tell it even in the food for the breakfast. Too bad they probably don't have a choice […] of water sources or are too cheap to put in cleaning filters for the entire facility. although,they could use filtered water for the kitchen and coffee! I was surprised by the value of this hotel. The queen-sized beds were comfortable, the room was very clean and nicely decorated, the personnel, particularly Fay, were very welcoming and helpful. The location adjacent to Carowinds Amusement Park is perfect for families, though we did not stay there for this reason. The room was very nice, ideal for my needs. The staff were accommodating and very friendly to me, my husband and my newborn. I'll be coming back for sure.

Very pleased with hotel and staff

The room was really nice for the price and seemed to be very clean. Nice to have a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room. Only problem was the A/C unit made a horrible noise when on - luckily it was cold outside and we just used extra blankets to keep warm. Relaxing quit enjoyed my stay

This Comfort Inn was an extreme disappointment. I would only recommend staying here if the sole purpose was attending Carrowinds (right at entrance to park) and even then I would shop around. The room phone was on the fritz, the phone jack was out of the wall. Stains in the ceiling and the TV had only 20 channels. Everything was clean and comfy. Staff was very nice. Would stay again.

We stayed at this hotel and the staff were very friendly, the hotel lobby is very nice and clean and so was the room we had. We would stay there again.

Pillows were too small and uncomfortable, otherwise nice room.

This hotel is great because of it's location to Carowinds. If our daughters would have been older, we could have walked to Carowinds. The beds were comfortable, shower was nice and warm, and everyone in my party loved the complimentary breakfast. Will definately stay next tiem we go to Carowinds!

we stayed here because of the location. The hotel room was a little smaller than expected. It was clean and updated. Beds were confortable. Location to Carowinds excellent!!!!!

Great location for amusement park, comfortable beds, nice pool.

We were placed in a smoking room, even though we wanted non smoking....and the room smelled soooooo bad!!!!!! We bought several febreeze products and did not remove the smell....But if you are not spending a ton of time at the hotel, and going to carrowinds it is very convinient.

If you're going to Carowinds its perfect. We actually walked back from the park. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was nice. We had a great 2 night stay.

Once we arrived, my lady and I were so kindly greeted by a wonderful staff member. After receiving our room cards, we had unlocked our room to find that housekeeping had not made it to this particular room. Having spoken with the staff, they most generously upgraded our room from a single room, into a honeymoon-style suite with everything that you could […] possibly wrap your mind around. Couldn't be any closer to Carowinds, great for leaving at the end of long days. new lobby and breakfast area which was well supplied and staff in the a.m., room was a little warm, even with adjusting the temp controls and the hallways were very warm
