Hilton Portland & Executive Tower in Portland

Hotel and staff were wonderful. Have stayed here before and will again. Rooms very comfortable.

Hilton executive tower was not so executive as the name would indicate. Updated but still very small bathrooms. Beds are ultra comfortable. One annoying things was to see the half eaten food trays from the night before and morning breakfast in the corridors. Only when we made a comment by 5 pm, were they finally removed.

Great clean hotel. Good pool for the kids. Staff friendly. In a good location. Close to free zone tram stop and tram stop to go to zoo. We would stay there again.

I chose the Hilton Executive Tower for its extremely convenient location in downtown Portland because of its close proximity to a venue that I was planning to visit during my "girl's weekend" trip from Seattle to Portland. In addition to that, it is within easy walking distance or quick (and "green") cab ride to many excellent restaurants and just a […] block from a Starbuck's (I'm from Seattle..gotta have my morning latte!) The staff was pleasant, helpful, efficient, and was always available to help me with whatever was needed. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe and secure, both at the hotel, and in the surrounding neighborhood. Valet parking was available but across the street. When I needed some items from my car, the valet quickly offered to retrieve them for me, which I appreciated. The concierge helped me retrieve my luggage from my room when I left, and the valet parking attendant loaded my luggage into my car, brought my car around, and allowed me to park in front of the hotel in the valet parking (which is quite limited as it is right on the street) while I made my Starbuck's run just before I left..The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable, as well as very quiet. And the king size bed was very comfortable.. and had plenty of pillows, always a plus!! I opted to stay in the Executive Tower building which was smaller and quieter, but with a cozy bar area in the lobby. This building is across the street from the Hilton Portland. I can't think of anything that was not up to the standards that I would expect from a Hilton Hotel. I would definitely stay again given the opportunity to spend more time in downtown Portland. they charge you for parking 28.00 a night.the the two quieen beds were not queens more like doubles.the pool was small.I would not stay there again and I would not recommend it to anyone. On top of that they charge you 10.00 a day for wifi.

I wanted to try something more upscale so I tried the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower, and it was not a bad choice. I really loved that when I called the operator I was personally addressed and the room had a great view of the Koin Tower and Downtown Portland. I got a room towards the middle of the hotel portion despite me requesting a room on the […] highest floor of the hotel via hotels.com and also the Housekeeper forgot to stock the room with Water Bottles, Coffee Packets, Creams and Sugar. The hotel staff fixed a different problem I had. The room had a safe, umbrella, bathrobe, and an umbrella. Although it was a nice hotel, it was not worth it for the price I had paid, but if the parking was free (instead of the daily parking rate) then it would not be a bad choice. Also it was too bad that this hotel did not have a minibar in the room. I would have definitely grabbed at least a soda or a candy bar. Always love the Hilton downtown. Lots of good places to eat and stroll and it's located near the maxx line. The valet parking was a little special. As we where picking up our truck, the valet attendant told me they don't generally accept large cars. If you drive a family car traveling with kids, park your own car.

Great location. Second time staying in this hotel. Stayed with my daughter and wife. Bed is too small for two adults to share unless you like "spoons". Roll away bed is not allowed with two bed rooms (fire code). No refrigerator, no robes,...can tell it was cost cutting technique developed by Hilton Executives. $10 per night, per device for internet […] gets pricey,...but can get free connection in lobby so everyone was on laptops and smartphones on the 1st floor. Larger pool/gym located in adjacent Hilton across the street,...but we did not want to walk across the street with wet hair,...thus we stayed in our building for the smaller pool and very small gym. Self-park was ok at $10 per night. I have a full sized Ram Truck and require skill to navigate the parking structure and tight spaces,...but did okay. Lees meer

I love the location of this hotel as it is a block away from the MAX. Plus you have Macy's, Nordstroms and a very nice Mall with a theater close by. PSU is a short ride on the MAX, takes you right there.

So much to do in downtown. Park on the street or a pay lot to save money. You can walk to great foods, bars and shopping.

Every thing was BEYOND superb. The view was fabulous from the 21st floor. The room was spotless and well maintained. The staff at the front desk,concierge,bar, restaurant,and room service were extremely courteous,respectful and knowledgeable. The room service food was incredible-White linen napkins,HOT food covered with saran,COLD ice cream covered […] with saran. HOT soup, Baby ketchup bottle and salt and pepper shakers. When I was carrying my bags to the elevator,on of the maids RAN to it to push the button for me! Everybody had a big smile on their face qat all times. (This is a sign of GOOD managers who keep the staff happy in their work and a committment to EXCELLANT customer service. Hilton is now my ONLY choice for accomodations! Lees meer

Charging for WiFi, really? I expected more from the Hilton, sure the room was nice but Internet access costs 9.95 per day! In addition local phone calls cost 1.50 each. I will stay somewhere else close-by next time where I won't be nickel and dimed at every. On the plus side they delivered a toothbrush and tooth paste to my room at no charge surpri […] singly. This was a girls weekend trip and we were very excited to use the amenities of the gym and spa but did not realize that they were in a separate tower ACROSS the street. I did not like having to run across the street in gym clothes with a winter coat to use the facilities, the gentlemen at the spa said that they have people who turn down the supposed […] "upgrade" to the executive tower for that reason alone. I recommend the hotel but suggest not taking the "upgrade" to the executive tower if you plan to use the hot tub/pool/weights/steam room/spa. Lees meer

Close to bus and MAX lines. Walking distance to all downtown neighborhoods and shopping. The restaurants are nice, but expensive (not surprising - just saying). South views weren't spectacular - side of a building and rooftop valet parking. Room was spacious, water pressure and hot water plentiful. Elevators were fast. We stayed in the Portland Hilton, not the Executive tower, but the older hotel a block down for 4 nights between Christmas and New Years. It's in a great location and the hotel is just fine - a solid 3-star establishment. There are nicer hotels in town, like the Hotel Monaco or The Nines, among others, but we had nothing to complain about and would […] recommend it to others if the price were right. Having said all that, I remember as a kid that the Hilton was the top of the heap, the best place in town. This is definitely not the case - threadbare carpets in the hallways and a feeling that the establishment needed a thorough going-over to really qualify for the next star level up. Lees meer

The Hilton Executive Tower is across the street from the main Hilton Hotel, the latter being a bit fancier with the standard restaurants and shops. This means that the executive tower is perhaps a bit more relaxed for the private, tired, "muddy-boots", independent city explorer / business warrior that doesn't wish to fight for an elevator, or pay extra […] for massages, pilates, restaurants,or aromatherapy that he/she will never use. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I asked (and immediately got) a microwave and refrigerator wheeled to my room at no additional charge. The tower has a lively but "relaxed" bar in the lobby, as well as a very private pool and exercise room on the 11th floor. You can't beat this Hilton location. It is within two blocks from Pioneer Square, shopping malls, rent-a-cars, two multiplex movie theaters, McDonalds, Starbucks, Subway, Columbia Outerwear, and the major north-south east west MAX rail routes. If you want to enjoy Portland at Christmas in a solid and relatively-inexpensive hotel, away from the tour bus crowd, this is the hotel for you. Lees meer

Take it from a crazy cat lady, the folks at the Hilton were great. I emailed them before I booked to check if they accept cats and got a prompt response, pointing out the modest $25 per stay cleaning fee, other places charge $20 per night! They then suggested to leave the 'Do not disturb' sign on my door, so housekeeping wouldn't go in. That way my […] cat could just hang out in the room, sleep on the bed and take in the view from the huge windows, and didn't have to stay in his carrier when I would be out and abouts. Other places require that pets stay in their carriers when noone is in the room. I also loved the downtown location 2 blocks from Pioneer Place, retail core and restaurants and the safety of that area. Using the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room are all included in the rate. All in all, I will definitely go back to the Hilton Downtown Portland. Lees meer

Great location - walking distance to everything downtown!

Great place to stay, staff was very hospitable, and hotel rooms were up to standards. However, there was no mini fridge, which was a disapointment, and they had installed safes/lockboxes in the closets instead. I say they install mini fridges and get rid of the safes.

I booked this hotel on short notice and got a great room, likely cause of the office season. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was cozy, but a bit cramped, made up for by the corner window views to the west hills of Portland. Prices of room service or dinning, wi-fi extra, parking extra; are to be expected for this sort of location. […] There are plenty of alternate parking garages within short walking distance downtown that have more reasonable $8 per day rates. Fitness center with full pool has early to late hours for those of us that keep a schedule leaning one way or the other. Over all, great location. Very Happy Lees meer

The front desk & concierge staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Within walking distance of everything we wanted to do/see.

We popped for the extra $ for what we thought was a much nicer hotel. The air vent in the room rattled constantly, The pool was closed. The beds were sort of lumpy. But the location for walking to our outings was great. for the extra money I think we will just take the max next time and have a great night's sleep. The people were nice tho!

The only complaint I had was the parking was a little confusing. I'm not a big city girl, and ended up paying for valet just because I was frusterated with the driving and parking. But that aside, I was impressed beyond my expectations. The staff was friendly, the hotel was beautiful and very clean! Also very nice being so close to the tram system. […] Within walking distance from many things. Hotel was selected based on the fact it was close to the Ale Festival and the price was right for what we needed. We were impressed with the front desk service especially- they were very friendly, accomodating, gave directions and provided excellent overall customer service. Got a great deal especially for a holiday weekend. Comfortable and clean and walking distance to many downtown attractions. Concierge was very friendly and accommodating. Valet parking was a bit spendy but oh well.

The hotel was great overall - good service, very clean. I ordered room service for breakfast and it was delicious. Only one minor complaint though - the room service came with all kinds of extra fees (as it tends to in most hotels) but this seemed excessive. I also didn't realize right away that there were 2 service charges meant as a tip for the delivery […] person. So in addition to these, I also tipped him an extra $5, not realizing I was tipping twice and therefore paying more in extra charges and tips than I did for the food itself. Maybe I should have read the bill before tipping the guy, but it would have been awkward to make him stand there while I examined the check. So I take full responsibility, but let it be a warning to anyone ordering room service - tip is already included. Otherwise great hotel and no complaints. Lees meer
