The Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach Shores

We hebben hier 2 nachten gelogeerd. Het hotel ligt direct aan een breed en schoon strand. Het eten is erg goed, de mensen zijn erg vriendelijk. Bedden op het strand zijn niet gratis en het zwembad heeft zout water. Er is wel een aantal douches naast het zwembad.

Very nice hotel in a fine ambiance. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is very good situated. The room was perfect, de gym was good. The swimming pool is not so big, but no complains with the sea in front of you!

I would say the stay overall was very pleasurable. It was nice to have a restaurant (which had amazing food) and spa on site. The pool area is really beautiful and the staff was very helpful. They now charge add'l $10 per day for parking, as well as $15 resort fee. Room service failed to provide coffee packs two of the four mornings, there was no soap for shower and no shower caps provided, had to ask. The drain in bathtub was plugged, too. The lobby is gorgeous you would never suspect that the car park and skywalk to the hotel was an absolute disgrace. I was afraid to go in the stairwell. We were greeted with three garbage cans spewing with garbage full of flies and horrific odour. The skywalk reeked of garbage. It was horrible. Reported to staff and the next morning still the same. this is not top of the line. spa and food were not the high quality that was advertised. however, considering the options in Daytona, I highly recommend this hotel.

I thought it was over priced. The rooms are dated and 3 of the drawers did not work in the bureau. First morning taking a shower and the tub would not drain and there was a fair amount of hair in the tub (I'm a bald man staying by myself) Very surprised the maid did not discover this when she was cleaning the tub, maybe she did not clean the tub. Front […] desk staff didn't really seem to care that it would not drain or that it was filled with hair. No sorry just I will send someone up. Also had to call twice in 4 days to have my room made up after leaving around 8am and returning at 4pm.Food was average at best. Location and pool area was good and the bar staff was great. Just got back from the Shores. Very nice hotel for the money. I paid just about $40 more a night than other hotels in the area. Not your typical hotel for Daytona. While the food was good, we thought it was on the expensive side, but it is full service. I would have liked a microwave and a bigger frig. in the room. We really enjoyed our stay at the Shores. Upon check-in, our room was not quite ready. Registration immediately found us an even better room. If in Daytona Beach again, we would definitely stay here.

We had our family vacation in Daytona with a 2 year old and 7 month old and we loved the hotel. Our only complaint would be the hotel's elevator going to the parking garage. It was rattling and shaking so much that we were afraid it was going to break down, but most people don't use it because they can just walk down to the parking lot. Payed for 2 rooms with river view with balcony, got a roof view. not happy. Very unorganized checking in. It was my sons wedding hotel, alot of unhappy guest.

Probably one of the nicest places to stay on the beach. Restaurant had very good breakfast and lunch. Staff was professional and catered to our needs. The only minor inconveniences were that parking was across the street and there was no full length mirror in the room. We absolutely LOVED this place and will never stay anywhere else! The only problem was with the speed of service from the kitchen once you ordered. On more than one occasion we had very lengthy waits for both dinner as well as breakfast. but other than that, the service was above and beyond what we expected!! found this place online by looking for a deal. Got our room at a third of the cost as if we went direct. But this place would be worth the full price. Service was amazing. Rooms are wonderful. People were friendly and helpful....no complaints at all

The hotel was very nice, comfortable. We were told by Hotels.com that there would be a $15 amenities fee (all "resorts" have this). But there was also a parking fee of $10 per day. My problem with this is the parking lot is across a 4 lane busy street. They do provide a walk over, but you have to climb 2 flights of stairs (the elevator did not work). […] The clock turns over at midnight, so if you have paid for one day, and come back after midnight, you are charged for day 2. Valet service is $17 per day. So even though we stayed there one night, we were charged $20 for parking off site. Lees meer

We had a great three days here. Our room was spotless. The beds were the most comfortable ever. The temperature controls were easily managed. The view was good.

It was ok. Wireless internet was terrible, room was nice however indicated as a river view room was more like a roof and parking lot view with a sliver of something they told us was a river. Was surprised at the amount of expense beyond the room regarding parking and hotel stay tax or something like that. Over all the hotel was nice. The only problem was the parking, I suggest you walk across the street and save your $18.00 for valet parking. Other then that the hotel gets a thumbs up!!

I was a little turned off by the hotel due to the fact that even though we were visiting at an OFF peak time, they didn't seem very accommodating. Granted I paid for a balcony room with river views, but if the hotel is practically empty, and this one was practically empty then I see no reason for my request for an upgrade to be dismissed so easily. […] Then there was the issue with the cleaning staff, leaving in the morning around 10 am I saw the maid and asked her to please clean the room. On returning to the room at almost 4 pm, I found it in the same disarray it was in prior to going out. I called down to housekeeping only to be placed on hold and never answered. I called again to the front desk and they said they would send someone up. About a good 30 minutes later the maid arrived and when entered asked in a shocked tone.. you want me to change the sheets ?? I simply advised her I wanted the bathroom cleaned and the bed made .. that's all. On my first day arriving they failed to mention until AFTER I valeted the car that they had a parking lot across the street. I told the check in lady I would just like to get my car back and I will park across the street for free, however the 2 mins that my car was in their car meant I now had to pay for 24 hrs of parking with their valet. The hotel was nice looking and the room large and comfy, but considering the way I treated by the staff there, I would most certainly never return nor advise anyone I know to go either. Lees meer

The hotel is old but not as old as many in Daytona Beach. It is clean and tidy. The towels in the rooms need replacing and the pool area could do with refurbishment. Beds comfortable

Located right on the ocean a couple miles south of the more honky-tonk Daytona beach area, this charming boutique hotel could not have been nicer. Our room was bright and nicely furnished with a large lanai overlooking the river and the ocean. There are a lot of good hotels in Daytona Beach Shores, but this has to be one of the best. Beautiful decor and furnishings in the lounge and restaurant opening up to the pool deck and tiki bar overlooking the ocean. Staff was very helpful and friendly and food was great. We stayed at this hotel last year, and was so pleased that we decided to reserve a room again this year. As we expected based on last year's experience; the staff was very friendly and the accomodations were very clean and comfortable. There was a very small issue with our shower handle that was addressed right away, but unfortunately two requests to […] replace a broken hairdryer went unanswered. This was a very small issue and certainly wouldn't prevent us from staying there in the future.
