We stayed at the Paramount while we were in town for our daughter's graduation from UF. The facilities are older, but the hotel was undergoing renovations and some improvements were already completed (e.g. - New carpet and paint). The facilities should only improve from the date of this review. We had a room with two queen beds and it was clean, spacious […] and easily accommodated our party of three adults and two children (11 and 7 yo). The front desk staff was very friendly and attentive. When we were researching hotels for our trip, we found other hotels of similar or lower caliber charging twice the rate for smaller rooms (Two double beds vs. two queen beds) because it was graduation weekend. Although we did not use the on-site amenities because of our short stay, the pool looked clean and well-maintained. There was also a restaurant conveniently located in the main lobby. Overall, the Paramount served our needs and offered good accommodations at a reasonable price. We would recommend it to families on a budget and want or need more space than a typical hotel room would provide. Lees meer

Location was Ideal! It only took minutes to get to my daughter's dormand her college classes. I LOVED the sun glistening on the lake behind the hotel, it was just beautiful and relaxing!

I did not survey area and thought amenity charges absurd as well as additional cost for late checkout inhibiting.

We had a lovely time.... Our room had a view of the pool, breakfast was good, the bed was comfy, and the room itself was quite spacious. This isn't a luxury hotel, but it's a comfortable place near the airport and I would stay there again.

This was a nice place, situated alongside a lake/natural area. Front desk was attentive and efficient. Best shower I've seen in a hotel in years- super water pressure. Very comfortable bed too.

The location was good close to the hospital,malls ,etc... The only problem was with the room. The air condition didn't work well, the room smell like wet and the linens were to rough. I didn't see any Bed Bugs but I was itching all night. Security at the hotel wasn't good. The bed was great king size but with small pillows, so if you stay here bring […] a large pillow. Some of the table lamps didn't work. It looks like for the price I pay they give you the left over on the rooms. My Opinion///// Lees meer

Overall, hotel stay was great. The hotel is close to UF in Gainesville, so there were a few party-type people located near my room. Overall noise from other guests was not too bad. I had an adjoining door between two rooms, and could clearly hear what the other party in the next room was saying (they were a little loud). But thankfully, they were not […] loud at night. Hotel layout is a little difficult to navigate; I had to ask for directions several time. Rooms were nice and beds were comfortable (soft mattresses). I would use this hotel again if I were to return to the Gaineville area. Lees meer

very pleasant staff, nice view of lake and we could see the alligators swimming in it. Nice room, clean - gave me the amenities I asked for and the place was quiet. No pets allowed and the place smelled nice.

This is the hotel we stay at when we visit Gainesville. For the price, it's adequate. Fairly clean, I think beds are new because they were more comfortable this time around, and staff is very nice. Everything always seems "dark" but it is fine for a night or two.

It was close to UF, the lobby seemed decent but when you went around to the rooms the quality decreased. The phone was not working properly, you could call out but no o e could hear you. They advertised exer use facility which they shouldn't, ended up going for a run outdoors. It was conveniently close to an IHOP and the school.

I arrived a little before 3 pm (check in time). I was told my room would be about 5 more minutes. Came back 15 minutes later, told my room was still not ready. Came back 2 hours later, was told my room was not ready. Waited another hour--they were suppose to call me but didn't-- and the room was finally ready. For my inconvenience, I received breakfast […] coupons. Went to breakfast, the buffet was cold! Even the waitress said about the cold wet eggs--this is unacceptable". Arrived closed to 9:30 pm as we were checking in, we were informed that we had been upgraded to a 1 bdrm suite facing the lake. The room was comfortable and clean. The living room furniture was a bit dated but in good condition. The bedroom itself was large and had a private balcony. Once morning arrived we were able to view the lake which was beautiful […] at 8:00 am with a bit of fog above it. We would definitely return to the Paramount if ever back in the area. Lees meer

Although there was maintanance done at the hotel premises, we had a nice stay. Swimming pool and view over the lake. Good lunch and breakfast facilities.

The room was pleasant for the price but most of all the A/C worked, the bathrooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable. Would stay here again. The only negative was that there was no hot tub along side the pool.

Very nice. My only complaint is the patio light that you are unable to turn off and it shines through the cracks of the curtains all night. Very pleased with restaurant located inside hotel.

Close to Univ. of Florida. had game tickets. Hotel is aging a little, carpet, elevators, edges. **mattresses uncomfortable...need replaced. Good for the price!

The motel is okay for what it is ---- an old building with old stuff in it. It just seemed like it hadn't been updated in many years. Even the sheets and the towels seemed old. It was fine for a couple of nights on a business trip. The rates were good, but it's not the type of place I would normally pick out.

Efficient and friendly reception. Got an unexpected free upgrade to a suite even though I only paid for a normal room! Balcony opens to full view of the lake and wildlife can be observed from window. However, the lifts are sorely in need of an upgrade. Housekeeping service was inconsistent - amenities only replaced on certain days, towels were a bit […] stained. Would help to increase comfort of the room by providing plates and crockery and using non-disposable cups instead. Lees meer
