Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto

I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the last 5 years and have always had a good experience except for my last stay. Not sure if the overall quality of the hotel is going down or this was just an isolated incident. Problems we encountered were: valet took about 10 minutes to get our car when we arrived, one of the sheets on our bed was […] dirty, poor water pressure in the shower, and the heating vent was really loud. We had a wonderful stay at the Harbour Castle. We stayed between Christmas and New Years and our room was upgraded so we were overlooking the water. We really enjoyed watching the ferry to Ward's Island and the planes landing. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable. Beautiful hotel, room was very comfortable. Great location to walk to the ACC!

The hotel was dificult to locate ( even on a GPS) but that Toronto for you. 37 $ for the automatic valet paprking was a bit much. Staff seemed lacidazicle. Long line up for check in with only two service agents working. Room was small and smelt of cigarette smoke

The hotel was excellent and only a block from the air Canada Centre. I would stay their again. Thw water view was also beautiful.

I have stayed at many hotels in downtown Toronto, this one i found hardest to get to, and no parking, parking full, hard to find front entrance, nobody to direct you to main lobby or direct you to proper elevators once checked in. room service menu not as good as others. A great hotel, however a quest should be informed at time of booking that a facility (this case the pool) was going to be closed for renovations. I would have stayed elsewhere if I had know this.

The view was absolutely stunning from the dinner restaurant. Considering when we started eating, there was so much fog that all the windows were white and then it cleared during our meal leaving an amazing city/harbour view. Nice and close to our venue. Very nice Hotel with great views. Walking distance from the Air Canada Center, Rogers Center, Hockey Hall of Fame, CN Tower and much more.

The Hotel was amazing and the service was excellent! However, my wife and I thought that we had paid a lot of money for the services provided. There was no free wireless provided, no mini fridge provided in the rooms except a drink "cooler", and when asked if there was a microwave available to use, we were told that we would be charged 30$ for its use. […] We felt that the higher priced paid for this Hotel was not worth the extra money spent compared to other nominal rate hotels. I stayed here for New Years Eve with my friend and boyfriend. Even though it was a busy night for obvious reasons, the check line was reasonable and the front desk employees were friendly, polite, and informative about additional security measures for the night (it being NYE). Upon arriving to the room, everything was spotless and we had a great lake […] view. An abundance of taxis and knowledgeable staff (our concierge was in training and was exceptional). We booked this hotel on new years eve. It was an excellent hotel and would recommend it. Quick check in and out, valet service and clean rooms. We had a lake view which was beautiful to wake up to.

we revisited our old neighbourhood and enjoyed the holiday very much.

we were super disappointed with our arrival at the hotel. the lobby was jam-packed with guests for a cma banquet. we could barely make our way through the lobby - it was most uncomfortable. nobody would move to make an room to get through. the hotel management made no effort to section off an area for these guests before they made their way into the […] main facility for their evening. we had to make our way through the maze of people 4 times and each time it was annoying and uncomfortable. we wondered if this was how they always made their guests "feel welcome"?? we couldn't figure out why they weren't in another room so that the hotel guests could get through the lobby!! The hotel is located on the water and there is an easy access to the water front and getting to the center of town is very easy too, however there is lots to see right around the Hotel itself. My only bad experience there was when I went to sit in the hot tub/ Spa to relax I got a bunch of little kids under 16 in there with floating wings on and the […] rules and regulations states that no children under 16 is permitted in the hot tub/ Spa it would have been nice if someone would have been there to say something to the parent who was not even paying attention to the children. The Westin was a great hotel to stay in. I got a great deal on here and wanted to have a treat and stay somewhere nice. It was a bit of a walk to the Eaton Centre, but they have a shuttle service you can use. The bar down in the lobby is nice, and so is the coffee shop. If you aren't feeling the coffee downstairs, there is always the starbucks in your […] room. The view was great. I stayed on the higher floors and it was magnificent. The hotel service was excellent; however, the room service was pricey. That was my only negative thing to say. A caveat: first class food and service would be pricey. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was excellent and everything looked great, was super clean and felt like I was staying somewhere first class. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who wishes to stay in Toronto. Lees meer

Vallee parking is a nice touch providing that you can get it otherwise you are the Vallee and must park your own car 2 blocks away and then walk back to the hotel. The attendants out front are snarely and most seem to not want to be there. Getting a ole from any of them is a chore. This hotel could use a definite attitude change

When checking in I was offered $5 per night in vouchers if I elected not to have my room cleaned each day. After thinking about it a little more carefully, I wish I had not done it and a conversation with one of the cleaning staff confirmed my view. She said this program results in staff being told not to report for work when too many people elect to […] do it -- ugh. And I don't really see why it's green in any sense except that it saves Westin money. Manaagement need to rethink both the fairness of the transaction with their guests and the equities of treating staff in that way. Lees meer

I found the room itself to be quite satisfactory, however, the lobby is outdated, noisy and requires a face lift.

This was a great place to stay for my trip. Close to Air Canada Centre for hockey. Right next to the ferry that takes you to Toronto islands for some outdoor fun. A short walk to Union Station and a subway stop. Very convenient. I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely hotel with good views of harbour. Conveniently close to Air Canada Centre, Rogers Centre & Hummingbird Centre for performing Arts. Good menu in bar for quick dinners.

the rooms are a little expensive and you have to pay an extra 40$ for parking. The lines to check in and to check out took for ever and the toilet never stopped filling itself.. In all, i'm sure that there are hotels in the same vicinity that offer the same quality rooms at a cheaper rate which also includes free parking.

Both night we stayed, the noice level after 12 am was crazy...I did not sleep both nights...as i never like to complain i did not say anything however it was not pleasant...the overall was great...i would recommand the hotel to my friends. The breakfast was amazing lots of choices..

I stayed at this hotel one night with my family (my husband and my 2 children age 5 and 3). Upon entering the hotel, I was extremely pleased with the service. The valet person was very helpful with the luggage, the lady at the check in counter was really pleasant and had our luggage brought up to our room for us. The room was very nice except I found […] the carpet rather dirty. All was well until we were ready to go to bed at night that we found we had some rather loud and crude neighbors in the room next to us. I called down to the front desk and security was sent up almost immediately to ask them to be less loud. The neighbors toned it down a bit but we were still able to hear every word they spoke clearly. They were using their blow dryers and we heard that. The truth is, they were not really loud anymore after the warning but the walls of the hotel was so paper thin that we still heard everything crystal clear. Unfortunatly, my kids were already starting to doze off at that time. I am sure that if I had requested to change my room with the front desk, they would have accommodated but I didn't bother as I did not want to wake up my kids. So instead, my husband and I suffered the noise from our neighbors all night. The service was great but I certainly will not stay there again. Unless the walls were upgraded. Lees meer

Wonderful view of the harbor and of the arriving flights to Toronto Island. By far the Westin has the most comfortable beds out of any hotel I've tried. Home away from home for sure.

Great location - helps that the weather was marvelous. Staff were helpful. Rooms great and beds very comfortable. Climate very easy to control - not too hot nor too cold. Quiet. Penthouse room bathroom a little dated but otherwise fine. Bathroom in another room was well designed and comfortable.
