Gezellig hotelletje. Stel je wel niet teveel voor bij het ontbijt. Gewoon koffie, thee en wat koffiekoeken. Het ligt wat buiten de stad maar er is een tramhalte niet zover vandaan.

het hotel heeft goede kamers van alle gemakken voorzien , echter een koelkast op de kamer zou prettig zijn. Wifi is niet gratis , echter wel in de lobby en werkt goed.
Ligging.
The George Washington University Inn ligt in Georgetown - Foggy Bottom in Washington, dicht bij George Washington-universiteit, Lincoln Memorial en White House. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Washington Monument en Ford's Theater.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel voor zaken heeft een restaurant en een bar/lounge. Draadloos internet is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze accommodatie met 3 sterren zijn onder andere vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen, een vergader-/conferentieruimte en een limousine- of autoservice. Het personeel kan op verzoek evenementencatering en hulp bij excursies regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere meertalig personeel, een wasserij en gratis kranten in de foyer. The George Washington University Inn heeft 95 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een cd-speler en kluisjes in de kamer (ook geschikt voor laptops). Elke televisie heeft premiumkanalen via kabel/satelliet, een videogameconsole en betaalfilms. Elke accommodatie beschikt over een bureau, een gratis weekkrant en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn met voicemail. Een gratis snelle internetverbinding (via kabel) is beschikbaar. Alle bedden hebben een pillowtop-matras. Alle units hebben een kitchenette. Elke badkamer is voorzien van kamerjassen, een haardroger, pantoffels en gratis toiletartikelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een kluisje op de kamer en een waterkoker/koffiezetapparaat. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals hypo-allergeen beddengoed en een telefonische wekdienst. Een turndownservice is elke avond beschikbaar en een huishoudservice dagelijks.

Georgetown is DC in de meest kosmopolitische vorm. Hoge Beltway-pieten zitten in de fijne restaurants van M Street, een drukke winkelader. Personen van in de twintig netwerken in de trendy bars. Georgetown University domineert de westkant terwijl rivaal George Washington University een stuk Foggy Bottom in beslag neemt. In dit gebied staan bedrijven en grote advocatenkantoren, ondernemingen en de World Bank.

Hotel was mooi en verzorgd. Personeel zeer vriendelijk. Het ligt in een rustige universiteitsbuurt dicht bij de metro. Doch alles is zonder probleem te voet bereikbaar. Zeker een aanrader!

Although my stay was okay, I have been to better hotels. The location was okay but I wasn't too impressed with the service and there was no AC. I am happy the weather was rather cool.
Had some issues with the heat ...but staff brought up heater promptly.

enjoyed the quite location....with available suite...kitchen....near subway....Whole Foods...restaurants....enjoyed that they had a washer and dryer available for those of us who like to travel light.....Taxis were always nearby when needed....walking distance to the Lincoln Monument

5 minute walk to Lincoln Memorial,Block and a half to the Metro. Whole Foods Market is 2 blocks away and a must visit if you are a family or are looking for healthier snacks. Great junk food too. "A good bargain hotel in DC with large rooms"
I stayed at the GWU Inn while attending an event at the Kennedy Center. It's no frills with large rooms. Staff were helpful when I encountered them, but you don't even go past the front desk to go to your room, so you don't have a lot of interaction. Great location for lots of sights. There's a Whole Foods three blocks away (on the GWU Campus) and fridges […] in the room so seems like it would be great for families. Lees meer

Great Location. Close to Metro and Whole Foods. Quick walk to Geargetown for Dinner. Good Dining in Italian Bistro on site, but no room service. We went to whole Foods and got food for Breakfast/ Lunch and kept Milk/juice in Fridge. Not a lot of Dining choices in immediate area, but again, G-town is about 4-5 blocks away with great dining on the Patomic. […] (Sequioa Steaks/Seafood, and Burbon Steak House in the 4 Seasons). Hotel was a bit noisey, but we had kids of our own and we were in town for Spring Break/Cherry Blossom Festival/ College Convention. Recomend the 7 day short Metro pass. Metro is easy, efficient, clean and safe. Plus the short pass got us everywhere we needed to go- Arlington to Federal Triangle to L'Enfant Plaza. Also recomend the River Cruise from DC to Mt. Vernon. The only thing that I didn't like was the pillow. The mattress was good but the pillow was not. Staff was helpful and the location was fine. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in DC
the $15 buffet breakfast was terrible, service slow, quality of food very poor, ie undercooked tough sausage, dismal eggs. I would never eat there again and it detracted from the overall impression of thehotel.

"perfect location, very good service"
I attended a meeting in the center (Federal Triangle) of Washington DC. The location of GWU Inn worked for me 100%. I took the Metro from the Dulles Airport to the hotel and then everyday to the meeting and back. At the end of my trip I took the Metro to the R.Reagan Airport to leave the city. I was able to walk around the friendly neighborhood at night. […] M Street (which is the shopping/ entertainment center of Georgetown) is only a few blocks away from the Hotel. The frontdesk staff were always very helpful. The room was cleaned everyday to make it look and feel fresh at the end of the day. Highly recommended... Lees meer
"Great spot in Foggy Bottom"
The George Washington University Inn is a great place to stay if you're in DC. It's about a block from the Foggy Bottom Metro station, in a beautiful neighborhood, close to lots of stuff, and my room was huge. I will definitely consider staying here if future business travel brings me to DC on the Blue or Orange lines.

The GWU Inn is very close to campus and the hospital. My son goes to the Univ and it is very convenient to the school and transportation. Parking is a little pricey, but we got it for the convenience. The room was very clean and the front desk and valets very professional. Would stay again.

The Metro stop is much closer than it looks on the map, as is Pennsylvania Avenue from the back door. The room was spacious, but lacked a coffee table or end table for complete comfort. The coverlets were too heavy for our unseaonable warm weather. It took running into the engineer in the elevator to get a light fixed after two complaints to the front […] desk. Pros: +Neighborhood is charming, quiet, beautiful +Close to metro, shops, busses +Comfortable bed +Fridge and microwave in the room +Front desk staff very nice and helpful +Recycling made easy Cons: -Hotel hard to find (signage not very apparent) -Felt like my grandmother's "independent living" apartment from 1978. Windows, layout, bathroom, hallways […] all very dated. Actually, I think it is the same tub she had, plastic liner, fixtures and all. -Room layout fine for sleeping, but not for work or relaxing other than lounging on the bed. Overall, good for those on vacation with family who want a big room and comfortable bed after a full day of walking around. only 2 complaints: restaurant wasn't open the day we were there (Monday) and parking was expensive. I asked ahead of time and booking service indicated parking was included--it wasn't!

We stayed at this hotel on New Year's Eve - very pleasant stay, clean and comfortable, a biut different than your normal chain hotel with a bit more upscale atmosphere but for a great price. The hotel staff was very helpful, even moved their car from a nearby street parking space so that I could use it myself and avoid the valet fees. "Fantastic Service and Value"
Our recent stay at the GWU Inn was as good as it gets. Great room with plenty of space for us and our child. The service by all employees was top notch. Parking was pretty tight but again they took care of all the trouble. Only minutes walk to the metro and many other attractions.

Although the hotel is somewhat dated and a bit worn, it is a good value for the money. It is situated in a safe neighborhood conducive to walking to the main streets in Georgetown. The people at the desk were quite helpful and friendly. I recommend taking the short walk over to George Washington Univ. Hospital for breakfast rather than eating the buffet […] offered in the restaurant attached to the hotel. "great for parents"
this hotel is great for parents of GWU students. It is close to the metro and within walking distance of Georgetown. I felt very safe walking around even at night. The bathrooms were small, but overall my suite was very nice. I would have liked to have been offered an additional student discount.
