Een goed motel met supervriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Zeker een aanrader. Is makkelijk bereikbaar met openbaar vervoer en als je een auto hebt, er is voldoende parkeerplaats.

Hotel is zeer gunstig gelegen downtown in Robson Street. Inrichting van de kamer is wat sober ,maar de kamer is zeer ruim en allen op een hoek gelegen met balkon. Roken is in het hotel niet toegestaan. Goed restaurant en halte van Hop on Hop off bus voor de deur. Parkeergarage onder het hotel en geldautomaat naast het hotel op hoek Bute street.

De kamers zijn voorzien van enkel glas. Zelfs op de hoogste verdieping, de 15de hadden we last van het geluid van het verkeer. De ligging is echter perfect om Vancouver wandelend te ontdekken. Gezellig in het centrum.

De beoordeling is gebaseerd op het verblijf in het hotel en wat niet mee genomen is de kwaliteit en service in het restaurant, het ontbijt is slecht in onze ogen we hebben al in vele landen en hotels geweest maar dit slaat alles, een keer gegeten, geen tip gegeven , de rest van de dagen ergens anders gegeten . Eind conclusie heel goed hotel maar je moet er niet gaan eten.
Ligging.
Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver ligt in het centrum van Vancouver, op loopafstand van Winkelcentrum Pacific Centre en Robson Street. In de buurt liggen ook Canada Place en BC Place-stadion.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver heeft een binnenzwembad, een spabad en een sauna. In openbare ruimtes is een draadloze snelle internetverbinding gratis beschikbaar, terwijl de accommodatie over een werkstation beschikt. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze 4-sterrenaccommodatie zijn onder andere een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes en een limousine- of autoservice. Dit hotel voor zaken biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, een cateringdienst voor evenementen en zakelijke diensten regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een fitnesscentrum, meertalig personeel en ski-opslag.
Hotelkamers.
Elke kamer biedt uitzicht op de stad. Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver heeft 197 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van iPod-dockingstations en een cd-speler. Een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) is beschikbaar. Elke televisie heeft premiumkanalen via de kabel, een videogameconsole en betaalfilms. Alle kamers beschikken over een bureau, een gratis weekkrant en een luidsprekertelefoon met voicemail en gratis lokale gesprekken (hiervoor kunnen beperkingen gelden). Elke badkamer is voorzien van een aparte badkuip en douche, badjassen, designer toiletartikelen en een föhn.
Elke kamer is voorzien van een minibar en een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een kluis en een strijkplank/strijkijzer. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een turndownservice, massagebehandelingen op de kamer en hypoallergeen beddengoed. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

"Chique hotel"
Heel mooi hotel voor redelijke prijs. Het voelt gewoon goed aan. Alleen jammer dat het uitzicht (ook van de bovenste, 14e verdieping) beperkt wordt door een nieuw gebouw, dat er tegenaan geplaatst is.

"A Nice Find"
I am not one to write reviews, but given the service I received at the Metropolitan, I felt it was deserved here. I moved to the Metropolitan after a week of work at another high-end hotel, but the service I received at the Metropolitan surpassed the first place by far. The check-in personnel were attentive and friendly, each time I left or returned […] I was greeted warmly, and the night person happily let me into the garage when I returned in the wee hours with my zip car. I also accidentally left my ties in a drawer when I checked out, but the hotel quickly located them and mailed them to me, very carefully wrapped. "Cozy Spot Downtown"
Stayed at this hotel with my wife for the Canucks playoff game one. Booked fairly last minute but staff were VERY accommodating with our request for nicer TV to review postgame. An upgrade to one bdrm suite - recently renovated - very nice and on the upper floor for quiet. Staff very friendly but not pushy or in the way. Will definitely consider staying […] here again. "Excellent location and service"
Spent the weekend, check in & out service was top notch. Restaraunt and room service were too expensive, left the hotel for all meals and drinks. Excellent location - a lot of shopping and places to eat and drink. Would recommend this hotel.

"Centrally located Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver"
Within walking distance to Vancouver Convention Centre and the waterfront. Great restaurants as well as familiar fast food places are very close. Don't forget to try Moose's Australian Pub just around two corners and down a flight. Shephard's pie and meatloaf to die for. REAL atmosphere with reasonable prices. Staff went above the call of duty to make our stay extremely comfortable. It was mine and my wife's birthday weekend and The Metropolitan was fantastic. I never knew the Metropolitan Hotel was there until we found it on Hotels. com. The service was top class and the room very nicely appointed. We loved the atrium roof over the pool and hot tub.

I recently stayed in Metropolitan Hotel for two nights, one week apart while passing through Vancouver. The high customer service ratings on the web are correct. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. I would especially like to thank the lady at the concierge desk for going out of her way to help me book concert tickets. The location is excellent […] in the downtown area and close to a railway station for transportation to the airport. Room was nice and comfortable. great service in this stylish boutique hotel right in the heart of the action. wonderful pool and hot tub with glass window wall overlooking the city. only concern was the expensive parking.

The room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. The staff were very helpful (valet parking, front desk, and bar staff), and we were able to keep our pet in our room for a small extra charge ($30 canadian). I was extremely pleased with the experience. Try the truffle oil/parmesean popcorn in the bar :)

Very pleased with our room. Service exceptional. All the staff were most welcoming and pleasant. Appreciated the full-size bath and separate shower. "Beautiful hotel"
I really liked this hotel very much. The room was beautiful with a large bathroom and a large terrace. The staff was very helpful. We were there on New Years day, when much of downtown Vancouver is closed. The staff had prepared a list of the open restaurants in the area that we could go to. "Met doesn't live up to the hype."
Rooms are "average"- TV's are old school. Room that was billed as "luxury" wasn't any different than a "Quality Inn". Which is FINE if you're paying Quality Inn prices. I did not! Staff is nice!

"Excellent for business"
The Met is a no nonsense hotel that is great for business travel. Free wi-fi, good work-out facilities and affordable rates make this my go to stop for my frequent trips to Vancouver. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms updated. The concierge is trustworthy, as I left my macbook in my room and called from the airport. It was delivered via Fed-Ex […] the next am. The hawksworth restaurant at the Georgia Hotel next door is great for a meal and cocktail if you have time. The bartenders are fantastic. "Rude Front Desk"
I checked in very late and was exhausted. The last thing I wanted to encounter was a rude woman at the Front Desk. She has the warmth of an icicle. Even when I called the operator to ask a simple question I was given attitude/condescention on the phone. BUT, the gentleman that assisted me to my room was extremely pleasant. "Metropolitan in Vancouver excellent location"
Friendly and helpful staff. Lobby was decorated for Christmas, nice. Televisions need an upgrade as well as program choices. Workout area is decent and steamroom is great.

i was pleasantly surprised at how much i enjoyed my stay at the Met. The room was small and cozy, with contemporary decor. The bathroom was well stocked with amenities. The robe was very luxurious and a nice touch. I usually bring my own conditioner from home as the hotel supplies are typically substandard. Traditional hotel quality, clean and nice bed. Don't like bathrooms where I can see myself on toilet in mirror. This one had even side view. Shower was good and clean
