Hotel Auteuil in Genève

Service gericht personeel. Kamers en algemene ruimten zeer schoon. Zeer uitgebreide keuze bij ontbijt. Op korte (loop)afstand vh station. Prijs/Kwaliteit is perfect, het hotel doet zeker niet onder voor doorgaans veel duurdere hotels in Geneve.

Hotel is ok, but without breakfast. Hotels.com dit not explicitly mention that, btw. Very irritating at the rate they charge for a night. Comfy room, but window does not open. Noise from the street. Overall, not worth the rate.

The hotel is very handy for the train from the airport and for walking into the town centre and the lake. The room was good value. Staff were freindly and efficient. Despite being in a central location, the room was quiet. The room was nicely appointed, a fair size with quality fittings etc. We walked straight down to the lake and found out afterwards […] we had walked through the red light area. So be warned. Good location near to station with free access from airport. On main road with trams out front so noisy and railway line behind. Expensive but then all Geneva is.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff. Only major gripe was that the air conditioning wasn't working properly. Had to get the hotel staff to unlock and open the windows at night to cool down.

Staff was extremely helpful. We had a wonderful one night stay and the location was walking distance or a short train\bus ride to anywhere we wanted to go. Overall a great hotel experience!

Great hotel, really friendly, helpful staff and has everything you need. Was just a little disappointed there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room and the bathroom/separate toilet thing was a bit annoying, but these were very minor gripes.

My husband and I went to Geneva for an overnight stay. Hotel Auteuil was wonderful from the moment we walked in. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and our room was nice and clean. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, but a little expensive.....but with the savings we got on our room...it was all worth it! We will be coming back!

Good hotel. Great staff. We were wonderfully greeted upon our arrival. Downfall? Sketchy location, and directly along the main train station, backing up on the tracks. I'd recommend to a single man or a group of guys in a second, but the neighborhood made my wife nervous, and I saw numerous guys sizing me up and checking out our luggage on the walk […] from the central train station to the hotel entrance (~4 blocks). For what it's worth, I'm a 6'2", 200lbs athletic guy, and I don't find myself uncomfortable too often. Most of Geneva is a casual walk, but this commute turned into a combat patrol. If the hotel was in a different place, I'd like it. Only downside of the actual hotel was that the breakfast was the worst we had in 4 hotels during our stay in Switzerland, and was 28 Swiss Francs per person vs the average of 11 per person. Great location. Near the main train terminal. I have stayed there 2 years ago, and I chose that same place again even I was staying overnight and flew out the following morning. Room is relatively small by American standard, but it is clean and comfortable.

Great hotel centrally located to restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the lake, within a 10 minute walk from Geneva Central Station. Staff was very pleasant and spoke English, they provide you with a transit card you can use on buses,trains and ferrys in Geneva. There's a nice restaurant at the Hotel Royale which is next door to the hotel and they are […] part of the same hotel group. Geneva airport is about 7 minutes from center of Geneva and at arrival they have free tickets to the train for your travel to city center. Hotel is central and near station. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Why skimp on the tea 'and coffee making facilities? It was only when I went through a folder with the hotel's list of services did I find out that I'd need to contact reception to request tea and coffee. A kettle, tea, coffee and sugar then bough to my room but no milk. Why not just […] keep these items in the room? For the duration my stay only 1 of the 2 very small lifts were working meaning long waits to get between room and reception, and vice versa. Lees meer

Small rooms, but all european rooms are small. If visiting, you generally are out and about checking out the town anyway and just need a clean, nice, quiet place to sleep.

They were so into cleaning, that they took my half full Evian and my small tooth paste when cleaning. Very helpful and courteous front desk people who spoke solid English.

I have stayed at a number of hotels in Geneva. This one is convenient to the trolley. The friendliness of the staff was terrific (not typical French). Smiles and welcoming at the front desk. Everyone wanted to carry my luggage for me! The bar was open when we got back from a local dinner. A bit expensive but .... you know it's Switzerland. The room […] was comfortable and the Internet (the most important thing to me) was very good and free. I could even do a Skype conference call. Breakfast was typical and OK. Not the greatest but average. I don't eat breakfast anyway so it didn't really matter to me. The remote control was missing from the room but the service crew was on it right away. First searching the room then trying to find a replacement. I went to dinner and came back and it was fixed. I've now found my go-to hotel in Geneva, where I go for business a few times a year. The hotel is about 2 blocks from the Cornavin train station. This is one of the more reasonably priced areas of Geneva, even though it is only a short walk to the Lake. Because the price was quite a bit lower than other Geneva hotels, we expected something less. Instead we were very pleasantly surprised with much more. The staff was exceedingly helpful, […] to the point where I felt guilty of getting so much assistance from them. The rooms were very clean - especially the bathrooms. There were 5 in our family and we were given adjacent rooms with a connecting doorway. The 3 children comfortably fit into their room (same size as our room) in their 3 twin beds. All Geneva public transport originates at the Cornavin station and the hotel surprised us with free passes to use the entire system. This hotel was decorated very well and the room was clean. One complain was the view (train track and AC furnace) but it was bearable. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. It was close enough to the station where you can find lots of places nearby. Having McD very close by was convenient, too. The couple of streets around this hotel were slightly questionable […] for safety; however, it wasn't uncomfortable enough to avoid walking. The reception people do speak some English, but I had to give up asking a few questions because I was not getting the adequate answers. That was a minor issue. Overall it was worth the money we paid. Great hotel in the heart of the city. Close to everything and only 5 minute slow walk from the train station. Staff were great and the room we had was amazing with a huge balcony and rooftop area. Comfy beds and pillows as well as a fantastic bathroom.

Excellent hotel and excellent service located conveniently close to the Cornavin station. However, we went to do laundry in a nearby neighbourhood at night and it was not a nice place.
