We hadden een kamer met uitzicht op de tropische tuin, prachtig. Kamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Wel veel problemen gehad bij het inchecken: men vroeg om onze creditcard als borg voor eventuele uitgaven die wij tijdens ons verblijf zouden maken. Onze card werkte echter niet en dat werd als een (abnormaal) groot probleem gezien; ondanks dat wij aanboden om tot 500 dollar cash te 'betalen'; men wilde ons zelfs in 1e instantie als gast weigeren, terwijl het hotel natuurlijk al via hotels.com betaald was. Zeer onaangenaam en men ging pas meewerken nadat we erg hebben opgespeeld; uiteindelijk 100 dollar borg betaald. Geen leuk begin van een verder overigens prima verblijf daar.

Prima locatie om van daaruit San Diego te ontdekken. Naar o.a. de Zoo, het Balbaopark en ophaaladres van huurauto gebracht en opgehaald met shuttledienst van het hotel, ideaal. Schone kamer, van alle gemakken voorzien. Redelijk ontbijt met plastic bordjes en bestek.

Heerlijk hotel, niet ver van Sea World, San Diego Zoo, uss Midway, Gaslamp, Old Town en het strand. Allemaal binnen acceptabele tijd per auto te bereiken. Super mooi hotel met ruime kamers. Het is wel een gehorig hotel, wat vooral in het weekend lawaai met zich mee bracht van buren. Door de weeks was de marine aan de overkant van het water met trainingen bezig. Dit vonden wij niet heel storend, maar het geluid is er wel. Verder zit ontbijt er niet bij in en is heel duur als je dat nog bij wilt nemen. Dat is echt een minpunt. Als je dit hotel boekt, hou er rekening mee dat het twee locaties zijn. Wij zaten in de tower en het 'grotere gebeuren' was verder op. We hadden wel een lobby, servicebalie, restaurant en verwarmd zwembad, dus dat is prima voor elkaar. De starbucks en de grote lobby van de foto's zit in het andere gedeelte. De kamers zijn echt super ruim! We hadden een ruim zitgedeelte en eettafel erbij, en dat voor een gewone kamer. Uitzicht op zee was erg mooi.

Het hotel ligt midden in het uitgaansgebied; veel restaurants in de omgeving en ook de winkelstraat is om de hoek. De bediening is gastvrij en zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt is echter simpel, maar dat schijnt in Amerika normaal te zijn. Kortom: als je op zoek bent naar een centraal gelegen hotel met alle gewenste voorzieningen in de buurt en ruime kamers, dan ben je bij Gaslamp Plaza suites op het juiste adres!
Ligging.
Kings Inn Hotel - Seaworld - Zoo ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven in San Diego, dicht bij Fashion Valley Mall, Staatspark Old Town San Diego en Presidio Park. In de buurt liggen ook Universiteit van San Diego en Mission Valley Mall.

Kings Inn Hotel - Seaworld - Zoo heeft een buitenzwembad en een spabad. Draadloos internet is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. Zakelijke voorzieningen zijn onder andere een businesscentrum en vergaderruimtes. Dit hotel in San Diego heeft een restaurant en een bar/lounge. It was perfect for what we were looking for...a place to lay our heads after a day at the zoo. My only real complaint is the misleading pizza flyer we found in the room. Never order anything from SANBELLA PIZZA. Rude, overpriced...and the food was not edible at all!! Other than that, I would definitely stay here again! :-)

"Great Place for a Great Price"
Awesome service at the front desk. Room was clean and cute. There was an annoying sound of running water through the wall behind the bed which caused some wakefulness during the night. Other than that, you can't beat it for the money.

This hotel has been our "go to" when traveling through San Diego. The staff has always been friendly, and we have seen them handling strange and irate (for no good or apparent reasons) guests with a calm demeanor. To start, this is one of the least expensive places in the area, so you might expect it to be a bit below your standards, but the rooms […] have always been clean and full of nice and clean furniture. The central yard has a very large pool and hot tub which are always enjoyable. There are also attached restaurants for breakfast (the Waffle Spot) and dinner (the Amigo Spot) for which they give you a 10% discount. The ONLY complaints for this place are the lack of a mini-fridge in the rooms (which is not all that necessary on the vast majority of our stops) and the occasional strange clicking sound we have heard from the roof of the second floor rooms. "Smoky"
Right on the hotel room door it says No Smoking. The rooms had an access to the next door room. The person in the adjoining room was smoking and the rooms lingered of smoke smell. For a non smoking hotel, I feel like this is definitely uncalled for. Also, the furnishing are old and this hotel would be suggested if it were updated.

our stay was very satisfactory. Staff was very pleasant and accomodationg. Hotel was old and could use some updating but we had a great stay. Free parking was great. served the purpose we rented for. thanks!
"Location rocks."
We stayed 4 nights here in the first week of March. The "heated pool" is not close to comfortable--cold!, but the hot tub was nice. The breakfast restaurant was superb.....service and food! The dinner restaurant was the scenario with one waiter, one bartender, one busser on a Monday night where half the city showed up...the dude was swamped, business […] was SLOW, but he did his best and with sincerity. Food was decent, too. The best part of this stay was location...right on Hotel Circle, minutes from Old Town and Interstates 8,15 and 5. "King's Inn"
We stayed for two nights. Hotel Circle always seems convenient to what we're looking for. This motel is clean, but basic. The thing that sets it apart is the staff. Without exception they were friendly, helpful, and pleasant to deal with.

We were in a difficult situation with a tight schedule to move our daughter into a new dorm. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us with a super early check in which allowed us to free up our van completely to move her things. We were exhausted and needed a late check out to make a few more runs to storage and again they helped us out with […] no problems. Great location, helpful staff, check in time could be earlier and one of the two rooms wasn't ready at 2.00pm as promised. An iron in the room would be appreciated.
"ok for short stay"
this hotel was ok for price paid. location was good to use for a base to see san diego. old towm just down road. We didn't was waffle house, but liked the bar. the pool was good with large hot tub. Rooms need updated though.
The main problem I had with the hotel was that the door lock to my room was either broken or the maid didn't close the room door on two consecutive days so that when I returned from my conference later that evening my room door was open. Fortunately, nothing was taken.
We had a great stay here the staff was very helpful and the restaurants were clean and the food was great.we would stay here again.

I stayed in a room with a king bed, the bed was huge and amazing! I would go back just to get to sleep on the bed. They had a heated pool and hot tub, good scenery. The bathroom was extremely small, but for a short stay the room was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly, good location, would definitely recommend.

My family and i recently stayed at the Kings Inn and had an enjoyable stay. It is centrally located to the Zoo, Sea World and the beach.
It was alright it felt pretty old and the bathroom was so tiny. the pool looked nice. The location was great and I got a good deal, but probably wouldn't stay here again.

If your only requirement of a hotel is cleanliness then this is your place, otherwise, look somewhere else. The hotel decor is completely 80s style with no modern features, apparent quick fixes on small issues, and the lobby and rooms smelled like mold. Kings Inn is suitable for a quick one night stay, but not for a vacation. The Waffle Spot is overpriced […] without a lot of variety. The Mexican restaurant was decent with HUGE portions and yummy salsa. The pool area was nice.. I would not recommend this hotel for families, especially with kids. The rooms are small, there are no fridges/microwaves, or much storage which tend to be big helps with children. Good luck! Lees meer
"A little disappointed"
I was in town and had checked rates a few days earlier through another website when I found Kings Inn listed as 50% off. It was around the same price as the Hilton for the night. We knew what to expect from the Hilton, so we decided to try something different... It was a typical apartment style hotel with a nice pool and fancy lobby. The people from […] the restaurant seemed to be enjoying themselves so I went through with the registration. For the most part, everything was very nice, however when I was falling asleep the A/C kicked on and the vent started rattling. I banged it, it stopped... for a few minutes. Every time it kicked on the vent started rattling again, finally around 3 a.m. my boyfriend stuffed his shirt in it, the screws were missing, still didn't help... It kind of made me wonder if that room was given to the people that paid the discounted price. I also did not get the guest coupon package that was given to the person registering next to me. Is it really a deal if you're not getting the same quality of product and service as the other guests? Lees meer

"Smallest bathroom on planet"
We have stayed at this motel for years,but this year we were shoved in a much smaller room,the bathroom was so small that you could not get the door closed unless you stood behind toilet.Observed bug crawling across floor while I was incapacitated on the stool,it appeared to be lost and looking for away out. There was not bedspread cover on either bed,also […] they furnish no blanket only some kind of skimpy foam replica?????????/ I will never stay here again we really got the shaft this year as they charged same price as last year but the room was major substandard,the management excuse was "Oh were doing some remodeling,sorry",yes sorry is such a comforting word isn"t it???? This is the first time I have ever given a motel a negative review,but this stay was really crappy,cheap cheap cheap is the best way to sum up the room. Lees meer
"Unpleasant Experience"
Our room was 63 degrees upon arrival about 9:30. 2 of 3 lights in room did not work. Restaurant/Bar closed at 8:30 Maintenance showed up promptly & fixed lights. Sait it would take an hour or more to warm up & it was more. No heatin bath area.

"Kings Inn - They were Really Good To Us."
We reserved a room and after the first night of not getting much sleep due to a motorcycle club staying in many of the rooms in our area, the front desk woman was extremly nice and gave us an upgraded room away from the noise the next morning. The next two evenings were great and quiet. We love the Waffle Spot for breakfast. Super friendly staff and […] great food and a reasonable price. "Great for the money"
Nice motel surrounded by the pricier chains. Tiny bathroom but very nice sized room. Bed was comfortable. No elevator but only 1 flight up. Toilet ran a bit. Restaurant was Mexican and the food was tasty, abundant and inexpensive. I'd go there again.

"Blanket runners instead of comforters on the beds."
I was disappointed by the quality of the room & parking was minimum. The beds had a 18"X60" strip of comforter across the foot of them. The flat screen TV reception was like watching with "rabbit ears" instead of cable. Room was small & dated. No fridge, microwave, iron, or coffee maker. Hotels.com had Kings Hotel as 3stars, but I have stayed in Motel […] 6's better then this hotel. Lees meer

"After a long drive down south (12) hours"
I no sooner unloaded my luggage, daughter and 8 week old baby. I laid on the bed and was greeted by a cockroach crawling across the very bed upon which I laid my weary bones. Crawling from the head board area to the foot!!!!!!!!! I was given a voucher for breakfast, changed rooms and could think of nothing else for the next FIVE (5) days!!!!!!

Hotel circle is close to everything with the freeway right outside the room. I stay in this area frequently when I visit San Diego and have stayed at the Kings Inn several times. The price is usually right and the room is comfortable. It isn't the Taj Mahal but you aren't paying for it either.
