Goed hotel, niet spannend, maar wel erg comfortabel. Wij hadden een ruime kamer met lake view en de luxe van twee badkamers. In eerste instantie vonden we dat redelijk over de top. In gebruik bleek het reuze praktisch en prettig. Je loopt elkaar in ieder geval niet in de weg. We kwamen uit NYC waar we kamer van formaat bezemkast hadden. Deze kamer was […] daarna aangenaam groot. Services zijn heel goed en volledig, fitness en zwembad zijn top! We hebben 1 dag ontbeten. Erg duur voor wat het was. Geen aanrader. Lobby en restaurant zijn nogal saai en sfeerloos. In de omgeving zijn echter prima winkels om ontbijt te kopen. Gezien formaat van de hotelkamer was het daar vervolgens prima picknicken. Lees meer

We stayed at the Ritz as a family fun night & were mighty impressed! The kid hospitality and goodies were fantastic - tent, cookies, toys, etc! Really great job. Thank you!!

Loved my stay, the room was great, however the high quality goose-down comforter ended up being a bit too warm. The guys working the motor-pool always had my car waiting for me when I reached the ground floor. I'll be back!

We booked our one night stay at the Ritz Carlton at the last minute as our flight to New York was diverted to Chicago due to a snow storm. The staff were wonderful and accommodating (particularly Nils - who arranged an upgrade to a Junior suite for a small fee and provided some great advice on the best bars and restaurants for younger folks such as […] ourselves to try - also a special mention to Venke who also provided great advice on what to see and do during our short stay). The room was delightful and was overall a relaxing way to spend our short stay during what was otherwise a stressful journey. We plan to come back to see more of the great city of Chicago and will definitely choose the Ritz Carlton for our next visit. Lees meer

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. The hotel was beautiful, the room was exceptional and the staff couldn't have been more professional or friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The bathrobes and slippers are always a plus and L'Occitane products....superb. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows too! Coffee and tea is available in the lobby until 8am, so would have preferred that to be a bit later. We personally would like to have the option and convenience of brewing a cup in our room.

So much to say that was good. Our TV didn't work properly, and the hotel's response was immediate. They sent someone up to fix it; then they deducted the price of the movie from our bill. Bathroom had two sinks. Bed was comfy. Thermostat easy to use and effective. Great view. Best part was not wanting to go out in the cold and just going to Water Tower […] Place for a quick trip to purchase my hubby some belts at Macy's while I shopped for eye glasses. The Ritz Carlton is obviously a landmark hotel no matter which city you're in. Considering its old world fancy decor, this is probably not the place to go if by design you're looking for a new modern hotel. The Ritz is an ideal location. The hotel is well appointed. I really liked the turn down service -they cleaned the bathroom and freshened everything up and left us water and a bucket of ice. Perfect holiday getaway.

We loved this hotel. It is especially convenient for shoppers since the hotel is connected to the Water Tower Mall and is in the middle of the best shopping in the world. The front desk clerk gave us a discount card to use at the 900 North mall which is only a few blocks away.

My husband and I knew from the moment we arrived at the Ritz-Carlton that we would be totally satisfied with our choice. The receptionist at check in was more than accommodating, making sure that the room was exactly what we needed for our business trip. She came from around desk to hand us the room keys and showed us to the elevators. The entire staff at the Ritz was there to help with anything we might have needed, from the Bell Staff to the Waitresses and Waiters. The Housekeeping Staff was wonderful as well. Not much to say -- it's the Ritz Carlton, and while you pay top dollar, the service and amenities are what you would expect. We stayed Thanksgiving night. The hotel connects directly to Water Tower Place, which was very convenient for shopping, allowing us to leave packages in the room. My only complaint was about the Thanksgiving buffet in the 12th […] floor lobby (at $135 a person, my fiancee and I had already decided to find dinner elsewhere). Something on the buffet smelled awful (a very gamey meat of some kind) and the odor blasted us as we came out of the elevators. It wasn't just me, because my fiancee nearly retched as we walked back through the lobby after checking in. Nice and classy hotel, very clean and good service. But for the money, it's a bit dated and aging. The room mini bar was actually heating the contents instead of cooling them. The wireless Internet was a joke--even the premium service...it was nearly unusable.

This is s lovely hotel in a great part of town, excellent for shopping. Staff in hotel very helpful nothing is too much trouble. Had the breakfast twice was very nice & beautifully presented. All in all a very pleasant hotel to stay in. It's a good business & family hotel.

Loved the location and service of the hotel. BUT it too 8 visits of the engineer to finally fix the thermostat to control the air-conditioning. Very annoying! Try getting ready in a hot room. Also missing was a second chair to relax in. Only one chair and one ottoman. How hard would it have been to put another chair and both could use the ottoman. My […] friends bed had a depressed side - definitely the mattress needed to be replaced. We did have a beautiful view of the lake and the front desk could not have been more apologetic! I'm not one to write about hotel experiences but this stay deserved kudos and recognition. From the moment we walked in until the time we checked out, the staff deserve gold stars. Our stay at the Ritz exceeded our expectations. One of our family members fell and was injured while doing a tour. The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Chicago is an elegant hotel in a great location with the usual outstanding service by almost every employee. They permitted us to check in almost 3 hours early, which was a real plus. One drawback causing me to give a less than a perfect rating was that there was no radio in the room, and they did not even have one to bring […] to our room! I have never stayed in any U.S. hotel previously that did not have an FM radio in each room. Also, the restaurant had less than enthusiastic service to put it kindly.
