Mooie kamers, in goede ligging. Wij vonden het ontbijt niet zo goed als wij in de beoordeling gelezen hadden. Croissants waren zo hard gebakken dat je ze zo tot paneermeel kon verkruimelen, super kleine mini kadetjes en goedkoop merk sinaasappel sap.dus het ontbijt is het geld niet waard.

Hotel was goed verzorgd we hebben alleen geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt omdat dat naar onze mening veel te duur was. Ligging heel centraal, vanuit het hotel was alles goed te bekijken. Personeel heel hulpvaardig en vriendelijk. Jammer alleen dat er geen water koker op de kamer was voor koffie of thee. Gaan hier zeker nog een keer naar terug

verbaasd over het feit dat in een groot 5 sterren hotel pas vanaf 7 uur 's ochtends de servicedesk, en dus ook de concierge bereikbaar is. Wat te doen als er 's nachts een vraag is??

de kamer reservering met een extra bed (reisgezelschap van 3 personen) was blijkbaar niet goed gegaan. Zonder ons te belasten met dit probleem het de receptionist ons een upgrade gegeven naar een suite waar een extra bed makkelijk geplaatst kan worden. De kwaliteit van het extra bed liet te wensen over, maar dat is ook het enige puntje van kritiek. […] Wat een prettige hotel met zeer service gerichte medewerkers. Mooie kamer, heerlijk ontbijt. erg prettig omdat het dicht bij de stad en ook dichtbij het ns station ligt, dit is allemaal goed te belopen. Het onbijt was erg uitgebreid erg lux.

I spent 1 night in Amsterdam with my wife. The location was excellent. The train station was a 10 minute walk. This hotel is situated very close to the Central Staion, and all the main attractions. Also in an ideal location for taking canal boat excursions and coach/train trips to Tulip Flower Fields or other parts of Holland. We stayed in the hotel for three nights between 4th May to 7th May 2013.which was a Bank Holiday weekend and the hotel was very busy […] but the hotel staff were very helpful. Clean and comfortable room with nice King sized bed, everything you need in the room. Staff very helpful. One negative comment however, the cost of the internet in the room at a min charge of €78 is very high in this day and age for internet access. apart from that great hotel.

Great location and wonderful accommodations. The hotel staff was very helpful and showed us all the great places to eat etc. The only downfall for me was the lack of wifi in the hotel room but you did get access in the lobby.

Good size room, friendly staff and great location. However, you'll have to pay for wifi and television services. Not a big deal since you won't spend a lot of time in your hotel room.

The hotel was very nice. A bit nicer than I tend to go when it comes to a hotel. I like to stay in apartments and houseboats in Amsterdam. It's an excellent hotel with attentive service. Overall, it's a good hotel, but a bit too trendy for my tastes. I'd rather go a little more local. The rooms are a decent size, but nothing special. We did have one […] issue with a loud party next door, but the staff was quick to ask them to keep it down. The hotel is well located on the edge fo the Jordaan district. There are a number of very good restaurants nearby, If you're into coffeeshops, then that will be available too. It's also quite close to the tram line. It's very well located, but not centrally located. Some things were a bit far a way. The nice thing is it's close to things, but not so close that you are dealing with a ton of noise and people. We combined business and pleasure during our stay here. The staff were professional and friendly. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location was ideal. A winner on all fronts.

The location is absolutely perfect - would be ideal for a business trip or a weekend getaway. The breakfast is really nice (but a bit expensive). The only thing I would say was if you're a girl travelling alone try and stay in the main part of the hotel. We had to go to the second floor walk for ages and then get another lift to another floor. Trying to find anything negative about this hotel is hard. The staff were amazing all the time. And the whole hotel was extremely clean. If anything the hotel buffet breakfast was a little pricey @ 28euros a head. How ever it was full of variety and very tasty. Great place.

This would be an excellent hotel if they would stop ripping their clients off for essential services. We do not get charged extra for TVs, Showers or Beds, so why Internet? This is not a luxury "extra", it is an essential part of 21st century travel and hotels need to wake up to this fact. Adding nearly 20 euros to the room to use this service is not […] acceptable. I was also unhappy with the "City Taxes" . I accept these are outwith the hotel's control but nobody highlighted these when I booked or checked in, despite pre paying. I have stayed in several hotels close to Central Station and this is probably the best, albeit expensive. The dinner and breakfast were very good and staff were very firendly; no complaints about the room or cleanliness either.

The hotel is very conveniently located with less than 5 min walk form the central station. It is in a nice part of town but within easy reach of the nightlife and bars. We went for a weekend break as a couple and our room on the 4th floor was spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and breakfast a treat. Be aware - hotel claims to be 5-star but charges a lot of slow internet connection.Sometimes the room was smelly and the view was towards a brick wall 4 meters of. I'm sure there are better choices in Amsterdam - would not recommed.

Hotel is in a great location and very clean with great staff. The bad is the Internet is over priced (20 euros a day) and is very spotty plus slow. Most free Internet is much better so is shocking given how good everything else is at the hotel. After staying in a very chic boutique hotel it was a relief to move to the Renaisance. There's nothing swanky about it but the service is prompt and helpful. The 'Navigators' pointed us toward some exceptional restaurants that were not in the guide books. The rooms were clean and well appointed with the predictable amenities. As much as we enjoy 'funky […] little pensiones' there is definitely a warm comfortable place in our hearts for the predictable high quality of a well run Marriott at the end of long day of touring. This review may sound like 'damning with faint praise' but anyone who has been exhausted by long days of exploring and getting lost in a foreign place knows the value of a hot shower and clean sheets. We spend New Year's Eve and the next 3 nights in Amsterdam. The room on the 8th floor was fantastic and very comfortable. All the staff was very helpful and I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was the saving grace of our weekend in Amsterdam (it was very cold outside and travel was awful). Hotel staff all spoke English; they were very friendly and helpful when it came to answering questions and were well informed about possible airport closures due to snow. The room was clean, nicely decorated and BIG compared to a lot of other […] places we've stayed. The in-room temperature control took a while to get going but we got our room toasty in relative little time. It's well placed (only a 5min walk from the main station), so perfect for anyone staying for a long or short stay. We were able to check-in at 11, even though it says 2. The only downside is the wifi is quite expensive, as is renting films; but they have BBC and other TV channels for free which kept entertained for the evening! Lees meer
