Luxe kamer, hotel besteedt duidelijk veel zorg aan comfort gasten (gratis Internet, mooi gevouwen handdoeken, uitstekend ontbijt, gratis shuttle van en naar vliegveld).

Prettig hotel met gratis ontbijt en WiFi, centraal gelegen - via BART en Muni stations dichtbij het hotel is alles in San Francisco bereikbaar.
Ligging.
Taj Campton Place ligt in het centrum van San Francisco, op een paar meter afstand van Xanadu Gallery en Union Square. In de buurt liggen ook Academy of Art University en Westfield San Francisco Center Shopping Mall.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Taj Campton Place heeft een healthclub en een fitnesscentrum. Tegen betaling kan in alle openbare ruimtes een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) worden aangeboden. Dit hotel met 4,5 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen, een limousine- of autoservice en audiovisuele apparatuur. Dit hotel in luxe stijl biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een cateringdienst voor evenementen, zakelijke diensten en hulp bij excursies regelen. Great Union Square location. The service in this hotel was second-to-none. Unfortunately, underneath an inviting down duvet was a very lumpy, hard mattress. And within the nicely appointed bathroom, there was a sink that hardly drained at all (it only took 45 seconds for the entire bowl to fill up with water with the drain OPEN). Like many older hotels, […] the room is very small and the walls are very thin. The SERVICE, however, from the doorman to the operator, was impeccable. "Great San Fran Hotel"
I've stayed at a number of SF hotels in Union Square and SOMA, and I think Taj is one of the best for my tastes. I had a King Deluxe room on the seventh floor and it was fantastic. Not really a view, but the room made up for it with a great bed, nicely laid out bathroom, and an amazing wood paneled multi-drawer closet. I really liked the minimalism […] of the room without the compromise of any amenities. The only thing I didn't like was the shower - it was the typical California low-flo shower head with not much pressure (I don't fault the hotel for that though since most of the other SF hotels have the same). The service always brings you back, whether a restaurant, a retailer, a bar and a hotel. The service was spectacular! We didn't realize service like that still existed. We will definitely stay there again. The room, all the personal touches involved was more than perfect.

"I would return any time"
Hotel staff were very attentive. The room was fine, the restaurant was great. Cannot beat the location. Although valet parking was available I parked my car at public parking less than 100 yards away on the same street and was able to walk back to my car easily when I needed it. Overall a great experience.

Campton Place is an excellent hotel in the heart of San Francisco. The staff are well trained and very responsive to the needs of guests. I have been staying at this hotel for more than 20 years. Highly recommended.

The hotel is perfectly located in Union Square. Great location, safe area. The room was a bit small in my opinion given the premium price of the hotel. "small room"
I remember the rooms here being cozy so I even upgraded to the "deluxe" king. Room was small and some what of a funky configuration. Otherwise the hotel was great. Bed really comfortable and one of the greatest little bars in San Francisco.

This is a very nice hotel, and we would stay there again. We had one of the "California" rooms, which was fairly small, but not unexpected for a big-city hotel. Service was excellent. We were surprised when we checked out that they charged us for the in-room coffee that we made in the coffee maker, but when I asked about that they removed it from the […] bill. This hotel is half a block from Union Square, and near good restaurants and shopping. We had an adequate, but overpriced breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Service was slow. Located on Stockton st at the heart of Union Square, it has an excellent location with eateries, boutiques, department stores all within minutes away. Room was small with nothing much to shout about even though it has been named a leading boutique hotel in SF. I had a rude shock with the telephone bill charging US$40 for local and calls to south SF […] amounting to 15 mins of call time, some of the reception staff were also less friendly while the concierge was helpful. My only complaint about this hotel is that internet charges are not included in the price of the room. Although there is a business center this is of no help when you have to access your Outlook remotely from a laptop.

This is one of the nicest hotels my wife andI have stayed in. First, the location is a 1/2 city block to Union Square. The facility itself is well cared for,though small as it is a boutique. It is very clean, the rooms are small, with all the comforts one expects when traveling. This had the best pillow I had ever found at any hotel.The only shortcoming […] was the toilet paper holder. Each year I go to San Francisco to run the Nike Women's Marathon. The hotels in Union Square are all good but I have to say, out of the five years I've gone, Taj Campton wins the best of reward. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the room albeit pricey was right in line with the other hotels for that busy weekend.

OK, but waaaaaay overpriced (even for San Francisco). Tiny rooms, mediocre beds and bedding, no view below 10th floor.

Service was great, we came back after walking around town for hours and the room was turned down and robes were left for us. The robes were so comfy, I wish I would have purchased one!
I think the hotel is understaffed. No concierge on sunday. I was told not to go to the museum on Sunday because of the festival. I purposely asked if the De Young was opened on Monday and she assured me that it was. We spent $30.00 on a cab there only to find out it was closed on Monday. and then had to get a cab back We purchased tickets for Alcatraz […] and were not told to be there one half hour before boarding. The people are nice but totally inexperienced for tourism. The room is the smallest I have ever had at a first rate hote. We paid top dollar and were disappointed in the room with no drawers for putting away underwear. The best thing is your location. That is all Lees meer
"Great location/lobby but noisy and room strange"
Lobby is beautiful, staff was friendly and the location is perfect for union square but my room was strangely laid out and very noisy - sandwiched between the housekeeping service room and the elevators and no view - wouldn't go back based on that room.
Our first time staying at Taj Campton Place, it won't be our last!! The staff is soooo friendly . Outstanding service.

This is a great hotel if you want to stay in the heart of Downtown SF and close to Chinatown! The hotel staff was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. Very clean rooms and very comfortable beds. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel and definitely plan on returning there for our next trip to the city!

A very nice hotel with a great location and a confortable room. The room service people were very quick to enter a couple of times so make sure you put up the DND or latch the door :)
I did not feel that the sheets were very clean! and crispi as before!. They did NOT change them every day either. The fan in the bad did NOT work, and there is NO open windows, in the rooms, so it is very important! this fan. The bussines center, the computer was Broken, during our stay, they NEVER fixed.

This is nice hotel but it is not a luxury hotel. When I asked about the room they were giving me and whether it had a view the front desk clerk was smug. The two people at the concierge were helpful. There is no docking station for an I-pod which I would expect at a hotel with the rating it has. The room I had was "New York small" and looked at a brick […] wall. Even though I requested late check-out, one cleaning person came into my room without knocking and another asked when I would be leaving. The lobby needs to be updated. Our stay at Taj Campton Place in San Francisco was great! The hotel room furniture was just a tiny bit worn, but other than that the room was fabulous. The hotel personnel were so gracisou. The hotel is very quiet being on a busy street. My husband and I will definitely be staying again.

The hotel was fine, but it is not especially good value for price. Room was nicely proportioned and furnished, but pretty generic. In other words, much like larger chain hotels (Grand Hyatt, Hilton) but less "worn". Probably the best bed I've ever slept in, though. Big drawback is noise - this hotel has the thinnest walls I've ever experienced. My neighbors […] got up at 4:30 and it was like they were showering and packing in the same room.
