The hotel room is good. Service is bad. Asking for help to operate the safe box and no one come up to the room although the receptionist said "someone is coming up to show you how to use the safe box". Requesting 2 towels and being rejected for the reason "We are not servicing your room and we can't give you any extra towels" - poor service

Amara is a very clean and well run hotel in the southern CBD area of Singapore. It does have 7-11 and a Fair-Price Grocery across the street. Tanjong Pagar MRT station is two blocks away, easy to get anywhere in the city using it. The staff was very helpful with everything we needed. They are first rate. The 6th floor pool is awesome. You'll love it. […] The onsite restaurants are expensive but typical for hotel cuisine. The LAN internet was great, no problems with connectibility. The bathroom has one of those lighted windows so you can kinda see in but can't make out anything, and the bathroom doesn't lock. I don't really like this about newer hotels. I am a private person. But it wasn't a huge deal. The shower was nice and has a rainfall showerhead. The area was quiet, especially at night. It is quite a distance (20-30 mins walking) from night life areas such as Chinatown or Clarke Quay. If you want a great hotel in a pretty good location and willing to use taxis, train or walking, it's a great hotel. If you want to be close to nightlife or shopping, then you should look towards Clarke Quay or Orchard Road. But I would definitely suggest this hotel to friends and keep it in mind the next time I visit. This is my second visit in two years to the city. Lees meer

We were very happy to stay in the Amara Hotel in Singapore, because the service is very friendly and located very closed to the MRT station. Even though we ordered the room via hotels.com at the same day, as we arrived at the hotel, the staffs were very welcomed us, and made everything easy. This is a bit further to work than the M Hotel and feels a bit older and less looked after. the breakfast is on the poor side

The beds are hard as rocks!!! Not just alittle bit hard, but like sleeping on a carpet on the floor! I don't like when hotel charge alot extra for internet/wifi, specially not when it's supose to be a good quality hotel of 4 stars and when the room cost much already. Stayed there for a week in the Executive room. The room includes free wifi, which does not really work and never once managed to even check my emails using it. Room was badly cleaned with the couch completely stained with something I don't know what.... Bathroom/shower, also needs complete remodelling.

The convenience and location of the hotel is great for those working in the Tanjong Pajar area. Condition and quality of hotel and room were also very good. Although to my disappoint, the quality of service at the check-in counter was not very good. Needs improvement for sure although will stay again.

Conviently located, near MRT station, easy acess to airport highway and good for business stay in singapore.

Location I guess is based on where you like to stay, I preferred being closer to downtown, but this hotel was slightly cheaper. Chinatown is what it is, but it is at least only a 5 minute walk away from the MRT. I would definitly recommend this hotel . Great location , room was very comfortable, staff was great . The meals and internet service is exspensive but not a problem because both can be found in the area at reasonable prices. When I visit Singapore this is where I will stay!!

Like most nicer hotels in Singapore, the staff is extremely gracious, polite, and helpful. The hotel is convenient to an MRT train station, restaurants, and some shopping. The rooms are comfortable and modern. I'd stay here again.

Amara is not at the center of the city, but it is next to China Town with plenty of good eating places around, and the hotel rate is very reasonable, but facilities are great: large room, large swimming pool, and very good services. It is not worth to pick any cheaper hotels in Singapore as they are of low quality but very high-priced in comparison […] to other countries (close to $US100/day), thus not worth the money. They are mostly unclean, small, noisy and not-working-properly air conditioners. I have tried them, but had to change to this hotel. Anyway, Singapore is very small, it takes about 20-25 minutes walk from Amara Singapore to the river area - a more appealing place. I wish Amara provide free internet instead of charging very high price. Any way, one can find cheap internet in the complex in front of Amara. Singapore hotels used to be good and reasonably priced. But some now are way too unreasonably priced. This one is very reasonable.

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in July 09 and it was a wonderful experience. Hotel and room were spotless throughout, facilitates including the pool were very nice. All staff were extremely professional and helpful especially the concierge, those guys know there stuff!

ロビーが広く、スタッフがすごく親切。 AM3:00でもタクシーが予約なしでひろえる。 ホテルスタッフも深夜でも数名スタンバイ。 ホテルは改装済みできれいだが、壁薄い。 ローカル色の強いロケーション。 客層は、韓国・中国多し。 高級ホテル好みの人にはすすめない。

酒店服务还不错，reception有中文，room service也有中文，房间有中国式电源插座。吃饭、购物非常便捷，酒店对面就是一家24小时超市，向左走1分钟是一家小型7-eleven, 向右走1分钟还是一家7-eleven，对面餐馆也很多，不管是上午7点、10点，还是晚上12点，吃饭都很方便，也不贵。

많이 기대를 하고 간건 아니었는데 호텔 수준이 전반적으로 높았습니다. 그러나 아쉬운건 방음이 제대로 되지 않는거 같아서 밤에 좀 시끄러웠습니다. 수영장 시설도 좋고 전반적으로 만족스러웠습니다.

チェックインしたにもかかわらず、部屋にいくと部屋の準備がされておらず、従業員がベットメイクング中。 外で10分待てという。 チェックインタイムはすでに過ぎており、決してアーリーチェックインではない！！ すでに準備されている部屋に変えることを要望すると、女性フロントスタッフがきたが、言い訳するのみ。 一切の謝罪もなし。 こちらとしては決して感情的に言ったわけではないのに、そのフロント女性は逆ギレした。 別の部屋への案内途中もボールペンをカチカチとならし、かつ、エレベーターボタンをバンバンと何度も連打し、かつにらみつける始末。 イライラが表にでており、（わざとだとおもうが）ホテルスタッフとしても、人としてもとても不快感を覚えた。 フライトで疲れてホテルにチェックインしたにもかからず、すぐに休めな […] いとはどいうことだ？ 他のホテルスタッフ、部屋に対しては大変満足だが、一人のフロントスタッフの対応悪く、とても残念だ。 Lees meer

部屋は清潔、かつ必要なものは常備 リクエスト対応も迅速かつ必要充分 2階のタイレストラン、評価高いと書いてあったものの、値段の割には味はいまひとつだった

1. located near LRT , so that is convenient. However, it is in a quieter neighbourhood and not right above shopping or food, if that's something important 2. The room is non smoking, but has a smell similar to smoke or cigar , not sure if it is the AC system. 3. one night around 1am there was a continuous loud humming noise that didn't stop. The hotel charged too much on using wireelss. The receipt showed that I paid over 60 S$ on using wireless no more than 12 hours. I knew that the contact was lost too often and I thougt that the hotel charged me at every contacts. However, the hotels.com page explained that the hotel will charge only 30S$ per 24 hours. I was so unset.

Tout simplement, un tres bon hotel, parfait pour ceux qui veulent un peu de luxe, et tres pres du centre ville.

Wir sind rundherum sehr zufrieden, es gab keine Mängel oder Irritationen. Ein international geprägtes Hotel mit sehr gutem Restaurant, außerordentlich bemühtem Personal, immer präsent. Das Pool wirkt zunächst etwas klein, ebenso der Fitnessraum, sind jedoch vollkommen ausreichend. Jederzeit wieder!

Megel venlig betjening. God udendørs 25 m swimming pool, og lille, men OK, fitness center med meget nye instrumenter og maskiner.
