No additional services, but great neighborhood, nice staff and nice room.

Service was great on check in including valet parking. People were friendly for the most part. Room a little vintage particularly TV's and furniture; however they were clean, large and spacious. No Bar, or ammenties... Review your BILLING on checkout; tried to charge double for parking overnight (nearly 1/2 room rate), when I took it to the front desk […] the clerk could not resolve the issue, had to call manager. Waited 45 minutes for manager to arrive and make adjustment. Can't beat the location of this hotel when staying in D.C. Walking distance to subway (~10-15 mins) that will get you to all the sights and right in Georgetown with all the great shopping. Although the room was in need of an update, it was huge (2 rooms in the standard king room), comfortable, and clean. The Bellman said the hotel is going to be closed […] for renovations in 2012, so can't wait to stay here once updated! Cons: sheets were not changed even after placing the "change sheets" sign on the bed in the morning!!! I've stayed at a few venues in Georgetown now, but this is the best yet, esp. at the price.

Love this Hotel. Great Location for strolling M Street and surrounding areas. Hotel is quiet and restful. Morning breakfast is perfect way to start the day. Will definitely stay again.

Always have an excellent stay at this hotel. All staff members are kind and very competent. The hotel's location is near to great restaurants and attractions. Will difinitely stay again.

Great location in the heart of beautiful Georgetown. The staff was very nice and helpful. We stayed there for 5 days with two of our daughters. When we needed to find a place to do our laundry they offered to let us use their washer and dryer in the basement, which saved us a lot of trouble to find and take a taxi to a laundry shop. Wonderful hotel room fabulous location superb one of many stays over the years

Hotel is a few doors down from main street in Georgetown and provides easy access to numerous interesting walks. Either stroll to the waters edge with well designed walks, right next to designer boutiques and good range of restaurants. Slightly further walk to beautiful historical buildings and cemetry. I stayed at the Monticello, after having stayed at the Latham on my last trip to Georgetown (both hotels are comparably priced and practically abut in location). Whereas the Latham was a little dingy, and my colleagues and I have experienced issues there with no hot water or A/C, the Monticello was perfectly comfortable, much more room, and was in general […] a much more satisfactory experience. We reserved a regular room and got a spacious suite. Loved it! The location was very convenient, staff was polite and helpful and hotel was comfortable.

This hotel is located in Georgetown. Centrally located. Easy walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, canal and the Potomac River. The staff was very friendly. Nice continental breakfast buffet. The beds were so comfortable. Would highly recommend.

My daughter and I stayed here for a college hunting trip and we loved the hotel and the location. We walked to restaurants and shopping and to Georgetown. Plus the room was beautiful, the bed incredibly comfortable, and there was great space for us both - and 2 TVs! The staff was courteous. It might be a bit pricey, but well worth a Georgetown stay. Safe and secure part of the district--great shopping and eating and minutes away from all the sites DC has to offer.

I loved the comfort of the hotel and it's excellent location. It is perfect for people who want to enjoy the sites and sounds of DC while staying within the colonial beauty of Georgetown. It is also ideal for those who want to park their car and forget about it. You can walk everywhere-great stores, restaurants, and natural beauty are all within minutes […] from the hotel. The only thing that I would change would be the hotel breakfast. But that is a problem easily fixed as there are countless coffee places just second from the hotel. Large comfortable room. Quiet. Good location. Great value.

The temperature in DC was unseasonably warm and the hotel was unable to initiate A/C system. Therefore the room stayed very warm and uncomfortable for the night. Isolated incident I'm sure but, they ahould have let us know at check in. They offered to send us a fan but, it never showed up.

Loved this hotel - very nice. Just off off M Street, near intersection of Wisconsin - Hotel is on a charming sidestreet. Perfect to stay in Georgetown.

This is our second stay at the Monticello and will not be our last. The hotel is perfectly located at the entry to Georgetown, within walking distance of the Foggy Bottom metro station and Dupont Circle. This is a lovely hotel located in a beautiful pre-war, red-brick building in the heart of Georgetown. It's near lots of shops and restaurants and 1/2 block away from the Circular bus stop, which takes you right downtown. Hotel staff was wonderful.

We booked a room in DC for a night away from the kids, and this hotel was in the perfect location if you're in DC to do something other than see the typical tourist sites. It's right in the heart of Georgetown, with plenty of shopping, restaurants and bars. The hotel itself was great, and our room was huge! On a 2,800 mile roadtrip, we wanted to park the car and forget it for a few days. This was the perfect spot for that, in the heart of Georgetown and with the Smithsonian and all of the mall accessible on foot. In the evening we could stroll down the hill a few blocks and catch a night cruise to see the monument lit up. We could also walk easily at the […] end of the day to a lot of restaurants. This is a beautiful if small hotel in Georgetown area, period building (which means no double glazing) and petite. Lovely base to explore the area and good restaurants and shopping close by. Downsides are distance to the subway and traffic noise. So I would recommend it for old-world charm but you do need to pack earplugs if you can't cope with the […] sound of the street. The Hotel Monticello on Jefferson is a delight. One half-block away is M-street, the heart of the Georgetown "cool" district of high-end retail and fine dining; one-half-block in the other direction is the lone-remaining, still-operating old-canal-boat system, that makes for an interesting hike/walk/tour for anyone interested in the history of Old Georetown. […] The hotel itself is well-appointed and modern, but in an old-georgetown townhouse setting; the perfect blend of the old and the new. The lone drawback is no room service ---- but why should they with M-street and all its fine dining just a half-block away? Spacious room, convenienent location, helpful staff. The only downside is the $30 per day valet fee if you have a car. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel.

Large seating area with sofa and loveseat, dated and in need of replacment. The bed and bedding were very good. Parking for an extra fee but worth it for convience. Metro only a few blocks away for easy access to all the sites of DC. Lots of dining and shopping just around the corner from the hotel.

The location is great for Georgetown (which I prefer to being downtown in Washington. Lots of restaurants, shops, lovely town.) The room was more like a suite, with two TVs, a comfortable desk, excellent WI-FI, quiet. Service was cordial. Valet parking was efficient and average for the zone. All in all, superb. I will certainly return.

Excellent place to stay if you have business or students in Georgetown. Friendly Staff makes you feel welcomed. Only slight drawback - no breakfast room, so you have to take your continental breakfast (baked goods are OK) and return to your room or eat it on the go. KS

Pleasant reception and bellman. Room was nice and clean but a few things not in best condition, such as mirror hanging down from bathroom wall and poor TV reception. Noisy location in hotel.

Hotel Monticello of Georgetown is the best value for the money of any hotel we have stayed in. For a price of a typical hotel room we got a king suite in a great location. Even the continental breakfast exceeded our expectations. A real find in Washington, DC!

I chose this hotel at the last moment and was very gratified with the overall cleanliness of the hotel and comfort of the beds. We arrived late and were impressed with the gracioius customer service from the evening staff, lead by Muhammad. The day staff, although gracious, was slightly distracted (had problems finding our luggage that we had stored […] for a couple of hours after we checked out).
