Het is een prima hotel. Bij aankomst bleken ze echter een verkeerde kamer te hebben (met één kingsizebed, terwijl met twee queensize bedden was gereserveerd).schuld werd bij Hotel.com neergelegd. Op de reservering stond het goed! Één nacht een andere kamer gehad, werd weinig moeite gedaan om de fout goed te maken, de slaapbank op deze kamer moesten we zelf gereedmaken, terwijl zij aangaven dat ze het zouden klaarzetten. Later nog iemand uit gezelschap van kamer veranderd omdat de wc niet functioneerde, dit ging wel heel soepel.

Wij hadden een retourvlucht Dallas genomen en zowel na aankomst als vlak voor vertrek zaten we in dit hotel. Fijn zwembad om lekker in af te koelen. Goed ontbijt waar je bv ook wafels kon eten.
Ligging.
The Fairmont Dallas ligt in het centrum van Dallas, op loopafstand van I.M. Pei's Fountain Place en Dallas World Aquarium. In de buurt liggen ook Morton H. Meyerson Symfoniecentrum en Sixth Floor Museum.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
The Fairmont Dallas heeft een fitnesscentrum en een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad. Een draadloze internetverbinding is beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes (tegen betaling). De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze 4-sterrenaccommodatie zijn onder andere een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en een limousine- of autoservice. Dit hotel met een groen/duurzaam beleid heeft een restaurant, een koffiebar/café en een zwembadbar. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, een huwelijksservice en een cateringdienst voor evenementen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een conciërgebalie, meertalig personeel en een cadeaushop of kiosk. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling parkeren. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.
Hotelkamers.
The Fairmont Dallas heeft 545 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluis. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van de snelle internetverbinding (via kabel) op de kamer. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via de kabel, een videogameconsole en betaalfilms. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker en een strijkplank/strijkijzer. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een koelkast en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. Op de kamers van The Fairmont Dallas mag niet worden gerookt. De renovatie van alle kamers werd in augustus 2008 voltooid.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

"Not as nice as on photos"
The hotel has not been refurbished for quite a while. There is no free internet access in the rooms, in the lobby neither.

"Lovely stay, but be prepared for add-ons."
The hotel was very convenient, quiet, the restaurant is good and the staff is helpful. Rooms are furnished nicely. My only complaint is the charge for wifi, the exorbitant charge to rent a movie, or for a bottle of water that has been placed in the room. Why not charge slightly more and include these things? It seems inhospitable.

"Luxury near the Arts"
Fabulous service and clean. Room was larger than my bedroom at home. Only inconvenience was a low volume of hot water during peak shower time around 8am on a Monday morning.
The hotel was close to many attractions and places to eat. The room was very nice and the pool area has beautiful views of the city. My only issue was a broken shower head. After reporting it I was offered a new room. Service was great.

"Fairmont Dallas - great downtown location"
Convenient to most downtown locations. Valet parking is the only option, but it worked great at a reasonable cost. Bed was extremely soft and a covers a bit warm for my taste, but those are minor details
"Great Stay!"
Great relaxing getaway and very close to downtown! Would definitely stay there again! Only thing is that they have no hot tub/or it didn't work, but we had a great time nonetheless!

"The Fairmont Dallas- Parking Woes"
The location fo the Fairmont is great, there are plenty of things to do within walking distance. The one downside we found is unless you forked over the money for valet parking there wasnt much else to offer other than off site parking with no security. I truly felt like a "guest" at the Fairmont in Dallas! We were able to get a fabulous price for the room plus an upgrade to the Gold Standard for $20 per night more. The "hotel within the hotel" offered delicious food in the lounge for both breakfast and evenings. We were traveling with my mother, who will be 100 this summer, so our accessible room […] was perfect. "Fairmont, nice place, polite staff"
We upgraded to the fairmont gold so we had access to the "gold lounge" which had tasty breakfast options & hors d'oeuvres nightly. I loved having the variety of fruit & breads in the morning. The bedding & pillows were so comfortable, I slept great! The flat screen TVs with cable were great for my downtime. The pool was quite spacious. "Fairmont Hotel in Dallas"
I was extremely dissatisfied. There was a noise that sounded like a boiler that would turn on and rumble for several minutes before shutting down. This occurred continually throughout the night at about 10-minute intervals. I did not sleep that night. Thank goodness the stay was just for a night. I will not return.

I called ahead to ask price on valet parking, it was $5 higher when I checked in at the front desk. The remedied, but not without me fighting for it. I asked for 2 double beds in my reservation, I got a king. My sister's room was hot, the AC did not work, so they moved her to the floor below. I ordered a rollaway, it came, and then I left for dinner […] and came back, it was gone. ANOTHER phone call to the front desk. Just one headache after another. Excellent stay, small fee per day for unlimited valet service. Late night menu available and only minutes from everything to do in Dallas including Uptown area.

"Great location"
We were very happy with our stay. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. I gave a 4 rating on maintenance simply because our Tv did not work cords were pulled out - we didn't have a problem with it though. We will return !!!!!

"The Fairmount in Dallas - close to the Arts Dist."
This was my first time staying at The Fairmount. Standard rooms are spacious with all the amenities. My only concern is the "musty" smell in the room and the halls of the South Tower on the sixth floor. All in all the service and the surrounding area were excellent.

I was truly disappointed with the valet parking service that I paid 25.00 dollars for somehow my car was misplaced or placed under another name. My parking ticket was given to the valet @ 11:50 my car was not located until 12:20 the employee that takes the payments and give the drivers the keys had to walk the parking lot to find my car. "Perfect stay in the Dallas Arts District"
We had stayed at the Fairmont for several conventions in past years, but we were so delighted to be in walking distance to the Arts District and the Winspear Opera House. It was a perfect evening: a walk to the theater with lovely restaurants close by. We would recommend this stay to anyone going to any event in the Arts District.
