Leuk hotel overal dichtbij alles op loopafstand zelfs met 2 kids van 10 en 13! Parkeer gelegenheid is minder al hadden wij geluk en hadden een mooi gratis plekje. Super 3 dagen gehad.

Dit hotel bevindt zich op de ideale plek in Berlijn. Je stapt de deur uit en je bent in DE winkelstraat van Berlijn, restaurants zijn er volop in de buurt en je kunt heerlijk (en goedkoop) ontbijten of een broodje halen bij back WERK. We hebben in het hotel daarom niet ontbeten, en ook verder niet gegeten, en dat geldt volgens mij voor veel gasten. Binnen 15 minuten ben je te voet bij de Brandenburger Tor, en de rivier de Spree is dichtbij. Ook de U- of S-Bahn is bij het hotel. Handig!! Dit hotel is anders dan andere hotels, je kijkt namelijk direct vanuit je hotelkamer in de lobby. Kamers zijn stil, je hoort wel de airco. Jammer was dat er maar een paar zenders waren op de televisie. Doordat het hotel Spaans is, zijn er veel Spanjaarden in het hotel, en bijvoorbeeld weinig Nederlanders. Het hotelpersoneel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik (en mijn dochter van 8 jaar) zouden er een volgende keer zo weer naar toe gaan.

Wij kregen een suite, erg ruim, de kinderen (17 en 16) lagen wel op een opklapbed in de huiskamer, maar het was wel veel gezelliger dan dat we 2 kamers hadden gekregen, en erg ruim. Alles schoon, ze waren erg vriendelijk, makkelijk dat je aan de balie gewoon een welcome card voor het openbaar vervoer kan kopen, de skybar is prachtig, Je bent snel in de stad met de tram, neem niet m8 dan kom je niet op centrale plaats uit, de Norma aan de overkant is makkelijk voor boodschappen. Het ontbijtbuffet is heel uitgebreid en erg lekker, werd steeds aangevuld, op zondag tot 13.00u! Wij konden er tot 's avonds op teren!
Ligging.
Steigenberger Berlin ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in Berlijn, dicht bij Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, Staatsbibliotheek van Berlijn en Dierentuin van Berlijn.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Steigenberger Berlin heeft een binnenzwembad en een sauna. Een draadloze internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. Dit hotel met 5 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen zoals een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes en een limousine- of autoservice. Dit hotel in luxe stijl biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgedienst, hulp bij excursies/tickets en een cateringdienst voor evenementen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een spa, meertalig personeel en een cadeaushop of kiosk. Tegen betaling zijn er een beperkt aantal parkeerplaatsen.
Hotelkamers.
Steigenberger Berlin heeft 398 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een (laptop)kluis en een minibar. Een draadloze snelle internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar. Elke televisie heeft kabel/satellietzenders en betaalfilms. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau, een kluis en een telefoon met voicemail. Elke badkamer is voorzien van badjassen, make-up / scheerspiegels, een föhn en pantoffels.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een gratis krant en openslaande ramen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals massagebehandelingen op de kamer, een strijkplank/strijkijzer en hypoallergeen beddengoed. Een turndownservice wordt elke avond aangeboden en een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.

Deze accommodatie neemt deel aan ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard, een extern certificatieprogramma dat onafhankelijk is gecertificeerd. Certificatie door derden meet de impact van de accommodatie op onder andere het milieu, de gemeenschap, het cultureel erfgoed en de plaatselijke economie. Een objectieve beoordeling van de duurzame toeristische praktijken van deze accommodatie is uitgevoerd door een auditor die niet aan het externe certificatieprogramma verbonden is.
De eetkamers werd vernieuwd in de lente van 2009.
Berliner Stube - Het restaurant is ingericht in een country-cottage stijl met koperen lampen. Tot het lunch en diner menu behoren seizoensgebonden gerechten en Berlijnse specialiteiten. Op het menu staan dus gerechten zoals kalfslever in Berlijnse stijl en Berlijnse aardappelsoep.
Destille - Hier kan je terecht voor internationale specialiteiten, snacks en salades. In de zomer kan je er buiten zitten, aan een tafeltje onder een limoenboom met uitzicht op het Los-Angeles-Platz park.
Piano bar - Deze roos getinte bar heeft zwarte beklede rieten stoelen, grijze leunstoelen met hoge rugleuning en zwart leren banketstoelen. In de zomer kan je op het tuinterras zitten. Op vrijdag en zaterdag is er live jazz of piano muziek. Cocktails, broodjes en kaasborden. Koffie, thee en koekjes. Laat-avond menu.
Park Salon - De ontbijtzaal heeft witte tafelkleden en biedt dagelijks een Amerikaans/Brits/Duits ontbijtbuffet aan.
Health Bar - Deze bar ligt naast het binnnenzwembad. Koffie, thee en sappen. Je kan er ook een lichte maaltijd nuttigen, zoals een salade, een broodje, soep of gegrilde garnalen.
Het hotel beschikt over een verwarmd zwembad met een doorsnede van 9 meter in een ronde zaal met houten plafond en dakraam. Een fitnessruimte naast het zwembad heeft cardio-apparaten, losse gewichten, een rood lederen bank en televisie. Ligstoelen met kussens staan rond het zwembad en kunnen 's zomers op het terras worden geplaatst. Er is ook een sauna, kleedruimten voor dames en heren, zonnebank (solarium) en een koffie/thee/vruchtendrank-bar met lichte hapjes.
Tiergarten Park is zes blokken verder, met wandel/ren-parcours en fietspaden.
De hierna vermelde recreatieactiviteiten vind je in en nabij het hotel. Je moet mogelijk een toeslag betalen.

Wilmersdorf is een van de meest aantrekkelijke en lommerrijke woonwijken van Berlijn met zijn indrukwekkende flatgebouwen, talrijke hotels en grote park. Aan de noordkant van de wijk bevindt zich de winkelboulevard Kurfürstendamm, met zijn vele cafépleinen. In de Fasanenstrasse zijn verscheidene galerieën en exclusieve boetieks gevestigd en bevindt zich ook het Literaturhaus en het Käthe Kollwitz Museum. De straat ligt op vijf kilometer afstand van de meren en het bos van Grünewald.

"Nice place to spend a weekend."
Had a really great stay. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed to friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the room. The only real complaint I have is that the doors and room are not that well sound proofed and you can hear everything in the hallway. But overall, good comfortable stay.
"A Great Hotel in Berlin"
The Steigenberger is a really great hotel in Berlin. It is located western edge near the Zoologischer Garten and the Gedächtniskirche. There are several bus lines near by as well. For sightseeing, you can take the 100 line and be at the Bradenburg Gate within less than 10 minutes. The S-Bahn and U-Bahn lines at the Zoologischer Garten are really close […] as well. If driving, there is also a parkhaus right at the hotel. The hotel is simply excellent. A standard room is quite large especially by European standards. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The staff was excellent as well and you can easily find someone who speaks multiple languages. There are also a number of nice restaurants within very close walking distance of the hotel. When returning to Berlin, we would definitely stay at the Steigenberger. Lees meer

"Quiet and Comfortable"
This hotel is pretty standard for a hotel, nice comfortable rooms though a little small, for us free wi-fi, not much choice of TV channels, but for us at least great value for money. (the duvets could be a lot thinner, it was baking) It is in a quiet area off the main drag but close enough to walk to at least 3 underground stations. In house services […] are quite expensive, 20€ pp breakfast and a drink in the bar from 9€ upwards i would not plan to eat or drink here. Not many breakfast places nearby either. Ideal position for the shopping and conference people but it is about 20 min from the tourist areas. don't be fooled by the picture, the garden is a public place in front of the hotel, not the hotels grounds. I would certainly stay here again if conferencing but would look for something closer to museum island if going as a tourist. Lees meer

Excellently situated just off the Kurfustendamm. Plenty of things to do in Berlin. Would recommend paying extra to use the executive lounge, very good value. Had a couple of small issues, resolved by the duty manager, who then paid for flowers we had ordered as a gesture of goodwill..

"Steigenberger Berlin, nice hotel"
The hotel is ok, nothing extra, but ok. Make sure to book a club room. Close to KaDeWe and Museum of photography. The restaurant is quite ok and the service is very good. The service at the bar is also very good. All staff is very friendly and helpful.

"Excellent Hotel"
Room wasn't ready when we arrived. Asked us to return after 2.30pm. We came back at 3.30pm and there still wasn't a standard room cleaned. They upgraded us to an executive room. We did not ask. Excellent service. Spa and swimming pool really nice and well looked after. Wonderfully relaxing. Hotel very well located 2 mins from the Kefurstendamm.
"TERRIBLE customer service"
even though everything else was fine, customer service provided by one front desk staff was terrible and it ruined the experience! i inquired about a city tour which was to start very soon. he advised me to run as fast as i can to the meeting place and i should be able to make it. i asked him if he could call just to let them know i was on my way, but […] he said there was no need. so i ran, and i made it on time, but... the tour has been cancelled! the tour guide said the hotel should have known that this particular tour is only in the am, not pm. i think this is customer service in it's worth - all he should have done is place a quick phone call and the problem would have been avoided! We booked a suite which was two large, separate rooms--you could have given a party in the living room. Most European hotels have smallish spaces so we were pleasantly surprised. It also afforded us access to the executive lounge. So often, these club rooms are not worth visiting. Not so at this hotel. The executive lounge at the Steigenberger was generously […] stocked with both food and drink, including a wonderful light, but more than adequate, breakfast, a quiet salon area with lots to read, and several computers at your disposal. The young women who were on duty there were friendly and could not have been more helpful. Just returned from a 5 night break to Berlin. We were very pleased with the hotel. Our room was comfortable, although we found the beds rather firm. This is a busy, popular hotel offering good facilities for business and leisure travellers. We chose the hotel because its location is near the "zoo" station and just off Kufurstendamm. As you can see from the above, we were entirely satisfied with our stay - it's a lovely hotel - and would stay there again. The only comment I'd make is that perhaps the towels could be a bit fluffier!

Despite its central location the hotel is located in a quiet side street with a nice garden plaza in front of him. We stayed on floor business and got a very nice room overlooking the garden plaza. The hotel has a very nice spa area with sauna and a small circular pool and rest areas. We had a problem getting a room when we arrived, but the problem […] is resolved to our satisfaction. We note the excellent service we received throughout our stay at the hotel receptionist. In particular we note the efficient and courteous service we received from Mrs. seelig. Stayed 4 nights at the hotel and we are pleased to extend our stay. Anyway there is no doubt that the next time we visit the charming town Berlin we will be back to stay at this hotel. Lees meer

While perhaps it isn't a true 5* hotel, it certainly merits 4.5*. This is a well maintained, well managed property in a location convenient to the Ku'damm but removed from the hustle and bustle by just a few blocks on a lovely plaza. Staff is helpful, reserved yet friendly. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Executive Lounge has different food offerings […] throughout the day, including a very good breakfast. Internet service is free to guests, although WiFi signal can be weak in some rooms. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Charlottenburg area. Lees meer

we were very sataicified from the hotel. good concierge, very good loacation, just 5 min. by feet from the Zoo station. the breakfast was not included in the price so we took it in an Coffee in the next street, and it was also nice. there are two bicycle availible for the guests. just remember to order them in when you arrive.

The hotel is very stylish, the service was great, and the room was super clean and comfortable. My only complaint would be that the bathroom was a bit cramped, but I would still book here again for sure.

This hotel offered many surprises. It is beautifully located in a quiet neighborhood right off Kurfurstendamm and its many attractions. The U Bahn was nearby and gave easy access to every part of Berlin. The hotel was in the best European style and the staff was welcoming. Overall an excellent hotel. Location is convenient for buses and underground. City Tours bus tour is good valu and first stop is only 5 minutes walk from hotel. Nice reasonably priced restaraunts nearby.Good size room. Comforatable bed and furniture. Efficient air-con. Clean throughout. Only complaints would be that the bar prices were high and breakfast […] was 23 euro per head which is exorbitant for standard hotel fare. Would stay there again if visiting Berlin which is unlikely given that it is onre of the most dreary cities I have ever visited. Lees meer

The Steigenberger was exceptional. Quiet, good location, good room size, great design. When I arrived early in the morning from my international flight they got me checked in right away so I could get down to business. My family came to stay too and they provided a good quality crib, some toys and when we needed it, cleaned the room at any hour. A trouble-free stay. Everything was as promised (which is refreshing). Wireless was easy to use with my laptop. The pool and sauna were nice to have, and I took advantage (though I wish they were opened later than 10pm and 9:30pm respectively). I needed an iron and ironing board before a ceremony, and they brought it promptly. The bed was quite comfortable, […] and I loved the shower. Das Steigenberger liegt sehr ruhig, und trotzdem nur 5 min zum KaDeWe. Fenster könnten besser eine bessere Schallisolierung haben. Leider war unser Zimmer einmal um 16:45 nicht gereinigt. Nach Reklamation wurde dies jedoch sofort erledigt.

War alles wirklich sehr gut, besonders das sehr freundliche Personal und die hervorragende Lage, ruhig, aber um die Ecke vom Kudamm, sind hervorzuheben. Der Spa-Bereich ist ist auch echt klasse! "Påskeferie i Berlin"
Hotellet ligger fint og sentralt i vest-berlin, et steinkast unna kufursterdamm sin u-bahn, europasenteret og KaDeWe. Her finnes alt av shopping og spisesteder. Vi valgte et excutive-rom med tilgang på lounge. Sammenlignet med tilsvarende rom på andre hoteller sto ikke dette tilbudet helt opp mot våre forventninger. Skulle vi valgt på nytt i dag ville […] vi gått for et ordinært rom. Det ekstra utlegget for excutive er ikke verdt pengene. Når det gjelder hotellets pool og sauna-fasiliteter er det verdt å nevne at det tidvis var noe overfylt av barnefamilier samt at det i Tyskland er vanlig at kvinner og menn deler både garderobe og bastu. Litt merkelig er det nok for oss nordmenn at kvinnr og menn sitter nakne sammen i badstuen. Av andre hoteller helt i nærheten kan vi nevne Swissotel, Hotel Concorde og Hotel Kempinski. Til prisen for et vanlig rom kan vi uansett trygt anbefale hotellet på grunn av ypperlig beliggenhet. Lees meer
