We hebben een prima verblijf gehad in Hotel Topas. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en erg behulpzaam. We hadden een grote kamer maar was een beetje sober in gericht. Goede bedden. Het ontbijt is goed. De ligging van het hotel is prima, 5 minuten lopen vanaf het station en pl. 13 minuten van af het centrum.. Bijna alle bezienswaardigheden zijn op loop afstand. Ik kan dit hotel zeker aanraden.

Niet luxe maar alles is aanwezig, netjes en schoon. Makkelijk aan te rijden met de auto en openbaar vervoer voor de deur. Auto is op een binnenplaats, vaak bij de kamer, gratis te parkeren. Buiten stadscentrum. Hierdoor erg rustig. Goede bedden. Prima ontbijt.

Ligging.
Steigenberger Airport Hotel ligt heel handig bij de luchthaven in het hartje van Frankfurt, dicht bij Lufthansa Flight Training Center en Commerzbank-Arena. Bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving zijn onder andere Messe Frankfurt en Romer.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Steigenberger Airport Hotel heeft een volledig uitgeruste spa, een healthclub en een binnenzwembad. Tegen betaling kan in alle openbare ruimtes een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) worden aangeboden. Dit hotel met 5 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en een technische helpdesk. Dit hotel heeft 4 restaurants. Daarnaast heb je ook een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, een cateringdienst voor evenementen en zakelijke diensten regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een turks stoombad, een sauna en meertalig personeel. Gasten kunnen gratis gebruikmaken van een luchthavenshuttle ((24 uur beschikbaar)). Gasten kunnen tegen betaling parkeren. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie. De volledige renovatie van deze accommodatie werd in september 2003 voltooid.

Steigenberger Airport Hotel heeft 570 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een (laptop)kluis en een minibar. Bij betaling kan een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) worden aangeboden. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via satelliet en betaalfilms. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn met voicemail. Elke badkamer heeft een bad/douchecombinatie met een handdouche, make-up/scheerspiegels en een föhn.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker en openslaande ramen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een strijkplank/strijkijzer, hypoallergeen beddengoed en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. De grootste luchthaven van Duitsland ligt op 12 kilometer afstand van het centrum van Frankfurt en is een centrale Europese luchthavenan voor internationale vluchten (iedere twee minuten vertrekt of landt er een vliegtuig). De twee terminals zijn door pendelbussen en -treinen met elkaar verbonden en onderverdeeld in hallen met winkels en restaurants die 24 uur per dag geopend zijn. S-Bahn-treinen verbinden de luchthaven met het centraal station van Frankfurt; vandaar rijden er intercitytreinen naar Keulen en het zuiden van Duitsland.

"Comfortable and convenient"
The hotel offers an airport shuttle that runs every 20 minutes. It is very clean and comfortable - similar to what is expected in an American hotel, not the small typical european hotels. It is very updated with amenities. I stayed in a suite, which was extremely large. No complaints!

Great shutttle to the airport. We stayed a few days and took the shuttle to the airport many times to catch the subway into town. Didn't fully appreciate this until we stayed in another hotel that charged 5euro per trip. Clean and quiet with the windows shut. We had a junior suite - that was an overrated description. The room was crowded, 1990-styled, but 2012 - priced .

"Cost of Food"
This hotel is a great place but the cost of food is so high. We were shocked at how much we had to pay to eat at the hotel and there is no place near by so you have to eat there

Steigenberger Airport in Frankfurt does it again!! I have now stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions, both conditions during layover for international flights. The hotel is very convenient - location and services top notch - comfort and food excellent and very good value. Shuttle bus meets full requirements.

The service was excellent, and the location perfect for an in transit overnight stay near the airport. We were upgraded to an amazing, contemporary, spacious room with a view of an adjacent forest. The pool was lovely and the right temperature with an amazing waterfall and whirlpool in the corner. The room service was on time and the food was excellent. […] The price was good for Germany too. Very modern hotel close to the airport. Room was large and well appointed with a great bath. Free shuttle to the airport. There are several nice dining choices, including a 24 hour one. Only complaint was breakfast was very expensive-ask the price first!

The hotel offers good service for those requiring an airport hotel. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in terms of OK rooms and convenience to airport for those requiring an overnight stay to make forward connections. I would not consider it a good 4 star but not 5 star hotel . My major and very serious gripe is the treatment of guest who […] are non smokers. The hotel provides a small space for smokers to imbibe in their vice with a small open but ventilated area directly by the guest lifts. Being a small space, smokers and their smoke spill into the path of guest accessing the lifts. All guests must walk through a wall of smoke to get in and out of the hotel. I loved the location of the hotel. I needed a hotel close to the airport, since I had to catch a flight the next morning. The Hotel was 5 minutes away with the hotel shuttle. The shuttle ran all night, which gave us the opportunity to go downtown for a while. I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel service was slow and the food and beverages were expensive compared to other hotels in the area. The rooms were old and needed cleaning as well as updating.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and would be absolutely thrilled to choose this hotel again, should i have the opportunity. Proximity and access to the airport is fantastic. The shuttle bus that runs every 10 minutes most of the day, to the airport, is frequent and takes literally 3 to 4 minutes before you disembark at Terminal 1. the hotel […] is quiet. Huge lounge area that flows into the bar and restaurant. The rooms are great. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Full spa and fitness center. The only problem i can think of is that the restaurant food is overpriced; well, at least expensive (if you do not consider it over-priced). However, you can go back to the airport and go to the airport supermarket (interesting location for a super market) and buy juices, wine, fruit, water, etc for your room if you don't want to buy the expensive stuff at the restaurant. As always, our stay at the Steigenberger Frankfurt Airport hotel was perfect. We were in a standard room rather than the Tower, and even their basic rooms are far above the norm. Our luggage was delayed and a courteous front desk had the suitcases delivered to our room at 12:30 am (after cautiously checking with us by phone). "Always Top-notch"
The Steigenberger Airport Hotel is always great. Staff courteous and friendly and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. Easy access to the Airport and Frankfurt.

Room was a smoking room and stunk. The amenities were non existant. But for the price and an overnight stay its OK for me. I would not recommend if I had my wife with me.

No free wi-fi locations in the hotel, even for just printing a boarding pass; seems shortsighted.. No USA TV available, only BBC. (I'd recommend Fox News for American's, not CNN who in Europe serves up news on mainly Africa & Middle East.) The lighting in the bathroom is striking but not functionable for shaving. The hotel distance to airport was very convenient but the room wasn't very nice. The environment was not according to the picture shown, 5 stars hotel. Not worth paying such amount of money !!!

If you want good place to stay close to Frankfurt airport this is the place. Free Shuttle runs every 20 min. and the resturants and bars are excellent. The room was very small but clean and comfortable for one person. The staff and service was excellent.

Some of the basic amenities are charged seperatley - I think these should be of less cost and be included int eh room rent. Some of them are, 1. Breakfast fee 2. Internet fee 3. Carparking fee 4. No Comb or tooth paste

The location is fine if you need to stay at the airport but that is it. The room was basic with few amenities but clean. Typical nickle and dime mentality - no free internet and even connecting to a toll free number results in a surprise 3 euro charge at checkout. The resturant is good but overpriced. "do not accept low end room"
My wife and I were assigned a room with foam beds that sagged in the middle.I have not seen beds like that for 20 years. No springs, no foundation just 6 inches of foam that I could squeze together with one hand.
"Transit hotel Frankfurt airport"
The hotel is well located for transit stay, from the airport. Shuttle often and easy to access. Beside the room rate everything is extra and very expensive

Excellent Hotel with good restaurants on site. Rooms can be smallish but adequate. Very friendly and helpful staff.
