prima, alleen mijn bed was op grondniveau (boutique?, voor oudere mensen een hele tour om eruit te komen. simpele kamer, maar verder ok. helaas is het restaurant zaterdag en zondagavond gesloten...

Het hotel is goed gesitueerd, makkelijk te vinden. Bij aankomst kregen we een warm welkom met glimlach. Ik had om een rustige kamer gevraagd en ook gekregen. Prima bedden. Het ontbijt (inclusief gekozen) was ronduit luxueus te noemen. Wij hebben vrienden in de buurt wonen en logeren dan in een hotel en gaan een volgende keer zeker weer naaar dit hotel.

Ligging.
Swissotel Zurich ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven in Zürich, dicht bij Zurich Exhibition Centre, Stadhuis van Zürich en SMX Swiss Exchange. In de ruime omgeving liggen ook Schweizerisches Landesmuseum en Zoölogische Tuin van Zürich.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Swissotel Zurich heeft een healthclub, een binnenzwembad en een turks stoombad. In openbare ruimtes is tegen betaling een internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) beschikbaar. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze 4-sterrenaccommodatie zijn onder andere een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en een technische helpdesk. Dit hotel biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals 2 restaurants plus een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, een huwelijksservice en een cateringdienst voor evenementen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een sauna, een conciërgebalie en meertalig personeel. Parkeren op locatie is mogelijk tegen betaling. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.
Hotelkamers.
Elke kamer biedt uitzicht op de stad. Swissotel Zurich heeft 347 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluis. Een kussenkeuzemenu is beschikbaar. Bij betaling van een toeslag kunnen gasten op de kamers gebruikmaken van een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) . Elke kamer heeft een flatscreen televisie met kanalen via satelliet en betaalfilms. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn met voicemail. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een handdouche, make-up/scheerspiegels, een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker en een klokradio. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een turndownservice, een strijkplank/strijkijzer en hypoallergeen beddengoed. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. Op de kamers van Swissotel Zurich mag niet worden gerookt. De renovatie van alle kamers werd in maart 2010 voltooid.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

"The Swissotel Zurich"
The hotel is convieniently possitioned across the road from the train station. There's plenty of bars & resturants near the hotel, not to mention the fabulous buffet at the hotel. Just try & get a breakfast package with your stay.

"Great place -- will return!"
this was such a great place to stay esp over the holiday weekend....even though everything was closed, we were still able to enjoy our stay because the in house starbucks & their restaurant was open too. a bonus was their swimming pool too! great service & wonderful top view of the city. we did get the pinnacle room, but next time we will just stay […] in their regular room because its not really worth more for it and it has its OWN coffee machine, unlike the pinnacle rooms...enjoy! also....we ate our breakfast at starbucks, the breakfast they have is like 35 francs....yikes :) Lees meer
"Perfect location for concerts at Hallenstadion"
This is great for those travelling to Zurich for concerts at the Hallenstadion. The bar/restaurant in the hotel Muj is excellent (combination of trendy and hip). The spa on the top floor is compact(infinity pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna) but with stunning views. It isonly two stops on the train to the main station downtown Zurich. great hotel away from the hustle bustle of center, but next to station and tram stop which takes you to center in max 15 mins. heated indoor pool on top is great. much better than small hotels that you get in center. staff is most helpful. overall it was a very comfortable stay

Hotel is good to stay if you need to be in airport next morning - it is not too far. But it is not good, if you plan to see Zurich, I think there is no any public transport close, you can use only taxi or your car-but than you will have problems with parking in Zurich center. Very nice, big and soft beds. And good food in hotel restaurants (you have […] to use them, because nothing special is around), but not cheap :) And I think, it is strong 4* hotel, but quite far from 5* - nobody even comes to take luggage... My only problem was the air condition - arriving to the room was like entering a freezer. "Variety of Rooms"
I have stayed in this hotel twice before and everytime I get a different style room. Some are great some are just basic. It does not seem to be related to the price you pay for the room, but more what they have available when you check in.

The hotel itself is a decent location, being directly across from a train station. The surrounding neighborhood leaves a bit to be desired. Eating choices in the hotel and in the area are limited. "A hotel you MUST consider if going to Zurich"
We stayed in Zurich only for one night, and we had the opportunity to have a 27th floor room. Comfortable and clean, the room offered a gorgeous panoramical view upon Oerlikon. Not far from the center of Zurich, very well connected with the city, the hotel's location was great as we arrived by train. "Ideal stay fro Zurich with parking"
This hotel is modern and luxurious with fantastic customer service. As it offers car parking and is located next to Oerlikon train station it's a fantastic alternative for those requiring secure car parking (available for the very hefty price of CHF 36 per 24 hours underneath the hotel). Trains take 6 mins and depart every 5mins to Zurich HB (CHF 6.20 […] each way) with last returns at around 00:21 (or 24 hours during Zuerifaest when I visited). Apparently, taxis only cost CHF 30 too. I would highly recommend this hotel for those wanting to visit Zurich city centre whilst on a short visit whilst waiting for connecting flights as Zurich Airport is also only 7 mins (CHF 6.20 each way) by train. The hotel was impressive. The staff was very friendly aside from the dry reception and send-off by the front desk staff. Keep in mind that this hotel is NOT in central Zurich and not close to the Bahnhoffstrasse shopping area. The Oerlikon train station is right across the street and the hotel concierge will give you exact directions on how to take […] the train to Zurich HB. "Perfectly Placed Hotel for a Zurich Experience"
The location of this hotel is great. The tram and train station are literally at your feet. The hotel is clean. The staff is pleasant, helpful, and prompt when responding to guest requests. Even though staying in the heart of Zurich is probably a great experience too, one of my favorite things to do was to hop on the tram in the morning and just go […] anywhere I wanted with the absolutely clock-work public transportation system. "first timer in Zurich-excellent stay"
As a first timer in Zurich, my one night stay at Swissotel was excellent. Hotel easy to get to on train or tram. The surrounding area was vibrant and had a lot of restaurants. Staff and locals were very friendly, wished I could have stayed longer.

Breakfast and Hotel Parking were outragous Bfast $35.00 per person and parking $35.00 per night, everything in Zurich expensive but thought these particularly high from a hotel chain.

"Great Hotel to Stay"
We spent a week at the hotel. Service was exemplary; room extremely clean and comfortable; everyone was friendly; breakfast buffet was amazing. The hotel was directly across from the train and trolley station - extremely convenient and very quiet. We will definitely stay there again.

Really nice, clean hotel. 2 train stops from downtown Zurich, only about a 10 minute train ride. The hotel is right across from the train station so getting around was really easy. I though the hotel was a bit expensive, but that may just be a function of switzerland, everything there is expensive. "booked for two, got bed and towels for one, paid $$$$"
I booked specifically for two people and got a "discount" by paying in advance for the room so there was no way to change. The room was very pleasant, but the bed was a double, and we're both tall. There was also just one towel. Oh, and the reason I paid more was for use of the sauna since we were flying back to the US the next morning. Sorry, it's […] closed for the evening. "Phone Bills"
The hotel's location is excellent. Literally right next to a train station, market and places to eat. It's very convenient. The hotel is overall pretty nice, but they do NOT provide free wireless internet or NO FREE breakfast. It's always nice when hotels are able to provide free breakfast. The only dissatisfaction we had was a phone bill situation […] that my mother in law experienced. The front desk told her exactly where to get a phone card where she would be able to use from her room. When she checked out she got a surprising phone bill that charged her op TOP of the calling card she used for all the international calls she made. We stayed at Swissotel Zurich before and they did NOT charge her before. The staff should have CLEARLY informed her that there would be an additional charge. They were wrong! Lees meer

Insgesamt sehr gut. Der Pool mit Aussicht ist eine echte Attraktion. Frühstück und Parkplatz in der Einstellhalle sind zu teuer.

Allgemein sind wir sehr zufrieden mit diesem Hotel. Wir waren schon öfters da und werden sicher wieder kommen. Nicht geschätzt haben wir die Fragerei bei der Begrüssung: hatten Sie eine gute Reise? (das geht ja noch), aber: haben Sie Programm für den Abend? (das finden wir, ist Privatsache).
"très bon hôtel"
Hôtel très bien situé. Proche du centre ville,7 min en train (gare en face) Accueil parfait mais parle très peu français, mais le personnel fait l'effort... Resto très bien et nous y mangeons excellemment bien. Le petit déjeuné peut-être un peu cher pour les petits mangeurs. Chambre de bonne tenue et bien entretenue.
