The Westin Providence in Providence

My girlfriend and I had a great overall experience and enjoyed the fact that the hotel was connected to everything that we sought out to do.

Very clean and beds were very comfortable. Great location.

Nice up-scale hotel.excellent location that's within a block of the train station, rental cars and mall which has a skybridge linking to the mall.the hotel gets a thumbs down for not having a microwave in the rooms or have one available upon request.The Bistro in the hotel will let you use theres after signing a waiver.also the maid didn't take the […] washclothes that were used.I've never ever experienced that before.those are minor complaints though. My only complaint is that the operation of the elevators to the guest rooms requires the insertion of the room key; the reader in the elevator did not readily respond to my room key, and as a result, the return trip to my room took significantly longer than it should have. Thought the rooms would be a little bit more sound proof. Could hear alot of the activities in the hallway and rooms nearby. Otherwise EXCELLENT!

Nice hotel, but expensive; you must pay for parking and breakfast.

My sister and I stayed at the Westin for the Mary Kay Career Conference which is next door to the convention center, so it was easy to get to through the hotel. The mall is also accessible through the hotel, so it was very convenient especially since it was a rainy day. The service was excellent and the room was great. I would definitely return again. High-rise close to state capital building, train station and downtown businesses. Convenient enclosed, raised walk-way to 4-level shopping mall with movie theaters. Many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Some maintenance work on tile grout and dusty ventilation ducts needs attention. I waited 90 minutes for a 1/2 carafe of wine retailed at $8.00. They called to say they didn't have it, so could they send up a substitute? They sent up a $50.00 bottle of wine and as I had company it was really all a little embarassing. I would not go back to this hotel based on the room service. A very nice hotel with direct access to the Providence Place Mall internally. Rooms are quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Windows can open and the bathroom was in fine working order.

I go to this hotel every year for the Rv show as I am a dealer the convenience factor is huge I dont have to drive anywhere The hotel Staff is very helpful and really care about your stay. I would highly reccomend this hotel if you are going to be in the providence area.

This hotel is conveniently attached to a high end shopping mall, a CVS pharmacy and close to good restaurants and businesses. The hotel common areas and my room was very clean and comfortable. If we have to pay all that money for the parking, we should atleast get free wifi....also, we ordered desserts for the kids..nine dollars a pop from room service.They were so small, it was an insult. Beds are soft and comfortable if you like that. We ate breakfast and for two adults two kids,it was over 80.00.

Paying for parking. The building has two towers & this time the tower we were in was very inconvinance for every thing.

We had the most relaxing, (did I say that) weekend. We were there for large very busy cheer competition. My daugthers and I were amazed at the comfort and conveinence of the hotel, we felt so pampered, great food, relaxing atmosphere and very fun, so much to do so close to hotel. Really looking forward to next years competition, Best hotel ever.

Loved our big clean room and super comfy bed. We were in the new wing. Would def recommend you stay here. This hotel is attached to the convention center and mall.

Stayed on a Friday night, lobby was extremely busy, but everyone from the valets, doormen to check-in desk people were extremely polite and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Only problem we encountered was the tub drain was slow, so when taking a shower, the water stayed in the tub. Other than that, no complaints. Connected to the Mall. Good restaurants. Nice staff. Asked for late check out and received it, no questions asked. Parking & Internet are add'l cost. Use smart phone as wireless router to avoid paying for internet. Nice pool (small). Great location.

,but in saying that our room is never the cleanest. I guess people traveling don't get the best of rooms. Seems unfare don't you think.???

As all Westin's, you got to love their beds! We stayed the morning until checkout!. My wife enjoyed the connection to the Providence Mall especially since the weather was not good. No need to go outside for much. Also, a very central location if you want to travel around the city either by foot or car. Enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and a surprisingly good […] gym. Beautiful hotel in a great location. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Small pool but nice exercise facility. We will stay at the Westin again!

Very easy location, but parking is expensive. We also had a HORRIBLE time trying to check-in and use our keys. I had to go back to the front desk 4 times to get new keys. On the 5th try they sent someone with us and he couldn't open the door. The staff was pleasant, but I was exhausted by checking in!

Came for a business meeting, very convenient (about 5 min walk from train) in great area. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Flemings steakhouse was delicious and the second floor restaurant restaurant was very good.

was upset to learn that I was charged $26 to park vehicle overnight...wasn't disclosed and quite frankly it should be included in the hotel rate

The toilet and shower was broken and kept running all night. Other then that everything was good. Friendly staff, great view and location, pool and workout room was awesome. This was my 3rd time. I would recommend this hotel. Just check the room when you get there.

The location is prime - walk way to Providence Place Mall, around the corner from Waterfire, next to Flemings Steak House - a very convenient hotel with a great staff.

My overall stay was great! However, when I checked out, I requested a luggage carrier be sent up to my room front desk. The woman said someone would be up shortly. I waited 45 mins in the room at which time I called again. within 5 mins the bell hop arrived and said that he had not received a call to pick up our bags. Staff is couteous and helpful, perfect proximity to the mall and resturaunts, very clean and comfortable room, great views of the city and the bed is the absolute best in the business!! Once again, our stay at the Westin (this time Providence, RI) was perfect! From beginning to end, we were treated with exceptional care! The employees at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and clean! Hotel also has sky walk connected to the Providence Place Mall! (rated one of top malls in country) Convenient! Valet […] attendants were EXCELLENT and FRIENDLY and EFFICIENT! The ONLY negative with regard to our stay was the price of breakfast in restaurant. We ordered the buffet and it was mediocre (and also very pricey for what was offered). At some point we found a little restaurant across the street that had an outstanding breakfast for a third of the price. I will continue to choose the Westin wherever I go when it is an option! I went to school at RISD and had a number of friends and family, who were attending graduation, stay at hotels around downtown, including this one. There were more positive recommendations for this hotel, so we decided to stay here for our visit. It was absolutely phenomenal. Just stayed at the Westin, Providence to look at colleges with my daughter and her friend. The hotel was in a great location, walking distance to RISD and Brown and right next to the Providence Mall and lots of other shops and restaurants. We had an issue one night with some loud and drunk wedding guests and the hotel staff could not have been more […] attentive and resolved out problem immediately and put us in a nice quiet part of the hotel on our second night. My recent stay was probably my sixth time staying there. I absolutely love it there. It is my favorite hotel in Providence. One of the best things is the smell when you walk in.

We stayed @ the Westin in downtown Prov. for the final Waterfire Celebration of the year. It was a great move! The traffic jam surrounding the event was amazing yet we were just minutes away by foot . We could even see some of the river on fire from our window on the 15th floor.
