Pelham Hotel New Orleans, La in New Orleans

Ok hotel for the price. Great location, clean rooms, nice staff, No fridge in your room, no food/bev room service, cheap old tv's, barely working ice macine on 1st floor, no pool or bar in lobby.

This hotel is INCREDIBLE for the price. It is nice, clean and comfortable. Our air conditioner worked just fine, and the beds were comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I'm sure they've answered hundreds of tourist questions before, but they still do with a smile and enthusiasm! The hotel was ok, at best. Not much to offer outside of a room in a great location. Our room should have been a storage closet, since it was located under the stairwell and next to the elevator on the 1st floor. Doesn't make any sense to have a room next to a working elevator, with the lobby a foot away so you can listen to the overnight desk attendant […] listen to music, make phone calls and chat away with other employees. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The location was fabulous and the price was right. The hotel itself was a bit dated and while I can appreciate the "historical" feel of it, it wasn't quite all that I had hoped for. The Pelham has a great location for seeing all the sights and sounds of downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter.

Slept one night wedidnt complain

Nothing fancy. The room was clean. The AC worked fine. The internet connection was a little sluggish. But the location is great and the price we paid was probably a lot lower than the bigger hotels two blocks away. A short walk to the Sheraton for Starbucks. A five block walk to Bourbon Street. Basic accommodations.

I was mostly happy with the Pelham, but we had a major problem with the hotel keys. They only seemed to work for one or two tries at the door, and then they would stop working. We must have gone through 10 keys in four days. The staff was quick to give us new keys, but not apologetic about the recurring problem. Great location, right next to Harrah's. No parking except valet. I parked at Harrah's and walked about 3 blocks from the deck. Clean rooms. Couldn't make the room temp go below 72 degrees though. Weak Wifi in my room but was able to connect. Very helpful staff and nice vibe at the hotel.

I went to New Orleans to see a concert at House Of Blues(The Green and Rebelution <3). This hotel was perfect for my needs it was about a 10 min walk to the venue, staff was friendly and valet parking was worth def. worth the cost. The down side was the room was really small and older,no coffee maker or microwave in room either.

Great staff and great location.

Great location and very charming lobby. There were a couple down sides, our room did not have a window, which was a first for me in a hotel...but the ceilings in our room were really high, which kept it from feeling too crowded. Also, there was no business center, so in order to print off papers to get in our cruise ship, we had to bother the front […] desk lady for her computer. The price was right - no windows?? but a place to sleep for the night before the cruise and it was fine - mardi gras was fun.

Only "bug"... Set in the loby from 2:30 pm until 4:30 pm waiting on room to be cleaned from previous night...along with 3 or 4 other couples. Understaffed to turn rooms around by 3 pm checkin time. Other than this...completely pleased.

The service at the hotel was pretty good. However, we were very dissatisfied with the condition of our room. The pictures on the website were not at all accurate to what the room really had to offer. The mattress was too hard, the room was too small, bathroom and shower were entirely too small. With that said, the room was clean.

The Hotel states that there is plenty of parking available, well at $30 per day to park your car I guess that there is plenty of parking. Can you say misleading! Hotel staff nothing special and not so friendly. Take a room in the air cause street level is very noisy all night long.

Excellent value and well appointed in old world style. Lots of character. Much more pleasant than a chain hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Just a block from Canal St and all major hotel chains.

Was there anything particularly wonderful about the Pelham? No. But the price was good, the location was fantastic, and in a city where spending time in a hotel room is a waste it served just fine.

For the price you pay, this is a great location and a good facility. It's not brand new, but I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again. The staff were friendly and were extremely responsive. Re: heat/cold mentioned on some reviews, I had this issue, too. HOWEVER, the system needs to be manually switched from cooling to heating (required staff bringing […] in a ladder to switch the system). Mine was at first set to cool, and would only heat to 58. After I called, the heat cranked up (I had it set to 72) and I was plenty warm. My only dislike was the shower. It was dark, no exhaust fan, and the shower head was only a bit more than a trickle of water. Not the best by any stretch of the matter. However, the rest of my stay was pleasant. The hotel was nice but for the price that I paid, my room could have been bigger than what it was. The room sizes are very small, it was like renting a small bedroom in a house. I know that I went during an event but the price was way overrated for this hotel. I have stayed in many different hotels in the city and will never stay here again.

not a big fan of the parking options though, the best parking option is the 30$ valet deal in stead of the rip off parking lot across the street

hotel air condition did not work in room. Miserable!!!!

No coffeemaker in room. Good restaurant next door. Plugs in room worn out; would not hold chargers for phone/computer. Great price.

Great front desk personnel. Neat old hotel. Fresh paint badly painted. Clean room that needs some TLC on closer look. Door facing tacked in place. A/C - Heat control in room is a placebo for customers. In Louisiana weather changes weekly, daily and hourly sometimes. Each customer should have control over the temperature in their room.

Room was a little old but was clean which is really what counts. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Nice, boutique style hotel has charm and excellent customer service. Just a few blocks from the French Quarter, safe area, street parking available.

I stayed here for the weekend of Halloween and i must say it was very very convenient as far as location. The room could use some upgrading but we didn't stay much in it. Would recommend if travelling on a budget.

Only stayed one night but was satisfied with the hotel. Great room for the rate paid. Check-in was fast and the employees that i came in contact with were friendly. Oh, and the room was very quite.

The best part I was alone on vacation and it was within walking distance from Everything. I am from Washington and have never been there. Cheap rates clean cute hotel. I will stay again

The hotel was clean and rooms were ok. There was a musty smell in our room and there wasn't any hot water the next morning. Maybe just an off night for the hotel? Not sure...Red Slipper Cafe next door was nice, clean and good food!

Unfortunately, can hear every noise outside. Woke up in the middle of the night to a woman yelling outside and then couldn't get back to sleep. I think that the valet parking is too, too overpriced. The parking lot across the street charges a flat rate of $15 until 9 am the next day. Your hotel should be competitive and charge @ the most $10. This hotel was quaint, don't go expecting a huge room with up to date amenities. Parking was around 27.00 a night, a little pricey but the best choice. Perfect walking distance to Bourbon St. Overall it was great fit!

We didn't like the room on the first floor, we asked to move and they made it happen right away. The staff was friendly and courteous throughout our stay. This place is just steps from the French Quarter, streetcar, Riverwalk, and convention center so the location can't be beat.

Although the architecture of the Pelham is gorgeous, it does have several maintenance issues. The shower was very weak, the bathroom wallpaper was peeling off, and the air conditioner had a mind of its own. Other than that, it was cheap and in a great location.

I would not recommend this hotel to my enemy! Every time you turn around they were charging my card with some kind of fee, If i would go to the desk and ask a question a couple of minutes to and hour later my card was charged with something. Most of the charges has been corrected. I am still waiting on a couples. I have my statement to back up all the […] things I'm saying. As of today no I would not stay there again or reccommend this hotel to anyone. Lees meer
