Had a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. Staff was excellent. Room was very nice and comfortable. Was not crazy about the area but that's just me as I prefer more (way) offf main road atmospheres, and less concrete.

We had a lovely time at the Hampton Inn. We came to tour wine country the same weekend as some horse racing event so hotels were pretty packed. The management at the Hampton Inn was so nice and accomodating. The free breakfast was a plus! I'm not sure how accurate some of the reviews are on here or if the place has rennovated, but our room was super […] clean and very quiet. The hotel is less than a 5 min drive from the university and some of the nicer restaurants on main street. I would definitely stay here again. Lees meer

The hotel was pretty much center-of-the-bell-curve except for the strong smell of cigarettes in the hallway (in an apparently non-smoking hotel) and for the unclean coffee maker in the room. It still had the used coffee filters in it and the pot had old coffee in it. Everything else was mediocre. We came to visit the University, and found that the Hampton Inn both met our budget and generally met our expectations. The hotel staff was friendly, the room felt like it was quite new and well appointed - just as it appeared in the photos (although the photos don't show the two ants we found in the bathroom!). The beds were very comfortable and afforded […] a good night's sleep. The breakfast was very full - a highlight, according to all family members! The only downside is that because it is outside the 250 by-pass, even if you wanted to walk to the university (admittedly, beyond most people's comfort) you can't due to the lack of sidewalks under the by-pass. The good news is that the hotel has a shuttle that is willing to drop off and pick up. My advice is that you be very specific about where you are getting picked up. We ended up waiting 2 hours to be picked up, largely because the driver was unclear about where we were waiting. Although the neighborhood that the hotel is situated in is largely a suburban mall/plaza, and thus not suitable for a stroll, it does give you easy access to various restaurants, a grocery store, and free access to Gold's gym. As long as you have a car, this hotel is EXCELLENT. They modestly/adequately promise and OVER deliver.

The staff-ALL of them-could not have been more lovely!! The room was nicer than I expected, with a small sitting area with a couch which pulled out into a bed. Great for families! I was really impressed with the hotel, for the price. Staff was excellent and very friendly; they even gave me a further room discount when I asked for one!

I was amazed at the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The front desk people were very welcoming as soon as I stepped through the door, and continued to be so. When asked for dinner suggestions, they listened to what I was looking for, and then made suggestions, drawing specific directions on their maps. The room was very, very clean and nicely […] appointed, suggestive of a higher priced facility. I wish it had been walking distance to UVa, but I will stay here again, nonetheless-I was that satisfied. I was very surprised at the friendlyness of the staff. I have stayed at hotels that were 3 -4 times as much and not been treated as well as I was over this past weekend. I normaly stay dow the street when in town but because they were booked up I had to switch. I will be back this weekend and will be staying at the Hampton in Charlotteesville. We were there for two nights. It was the perfect location for seeing Charlottesville and the surrounding area. Breakfasts offered a variety and were tasty to start our days. We especially appreciated the attention and care we received throughout our stay. I'll certainly be recommending it to other visitors.

Customer service was great. Room and amenities great. Location in relation to UVA and surrounding area was excellent. A great stay at a very good price.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 3 times for reunion weekends at UVa with no major issues. This time I was pleasantly surprised since it has obviously been renovated since my most recent stay 5 years ago. The beds were comfy, the room was clean, and its location was ideal, close to campus and near shopping and off campus restaurants. staff was very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were nice, clean with king bed, small pull out couch, and we also asked for a roll away (no charge). the shuttle did not work for us, as there is only one, and it was going to be in use when we needed it, so ask for it in advance. This Hampton is clean, appears recently renovated. The bedding was quite comfortable. It lacks a microwave that I found at other Hampton's. But other than that, I could find no fault with the hotel. The location is convenient. It is just off a small strip mall and a large grocery store is within walking distance. There are several restaurants close […] by. My wife and I enjoyed this hotel very much. We were in town for a wedding and needed a place to stay overnite. The complimentary breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. It was more than we had expected. We would stay there again if in the area.

The emplooyees were friendly, very accomadating, and were helpful in all areas. The location was great and I just had a great stay. I would recommend this hotel in Charlottesville to anyone.

The hotel was top notch. Everything was impeccably clean, the staff were competent, helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the decor was simple and well maintained. The location was adequate, a short drive from town. Would stay at a Hampton Inn in the future based on my experience.

This hotel is in a excellent location. Employees were great. It was chosen from reviews I read and the fact I wanted a 5* hotel. In my opinion this is it.
