Great place to stay if you need to be with in walking distance to the Metro-North train station (5-7mins), Walkway over the Hudson (15mins.) and downtown (5mins.). This hotel is right in the heart of Poughkeepsie and close to Marist, the train station, the civic center and local bars and restaurants (big plus!). The free breakfast was very nice, the food was good but the atmosphere was much like a catering hall (because that is exactly where it is served). The rooms were nice and clean but the towels were old […] and scratchy and our toilet ran on and off (this could have been fixed but we just kept on forgetting to mention it so I would not hold this against them).
