Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel in Parijs

Na in deze omgeving al enkele andere hotels te hebben geprobeerd nu het Novotel. Prima ligging aan de Seine en goede bereikbaarheid vanaf metro station Bir Hakeim. Vriendelijke en vlotte in- en uitcheck procedure. Prima ontbijt buffet. Al met al een goed adres!

Dit hotel is een uitstekende startplaats aan de Seine om Parijs te verkennen. Wij (gezin met 2 pubers) hadden een kamer op 8e etage op de hoek. Dat betekende een kamer oppervlakte van 40 m2! Een tweepersoonsbed (wel ietsje te hard) en een bank die uitgeklapt een bed was van 130 x 190. Het matras lag niet echt lekker. Wij hebben toen om een extra deken […] gevraagt om op het matras te leggen. We kregen een dekbed (welke er door een medewerker zelfs op het bed gelegd werd) en toen sliepen we prinsheerlijk! Een badkamer met apart bad en aparte douchehoek. En een aparte toilet. Goed werkende airco. Het ontbijtbuffet was heerlijk! Er liggen twee metrostations op een kleine tien minuten lopen en de Eiffeltoren ligt op een kwartier lopen. Parkeergarage om de hoek. Internet via de televisie in de kamer. WiFi in de hal beneden. Kamers niet onderhouden; Lavabo afvoer defect, douche mengkraan defect, afstand bediening TV defect, airco defect// Ontbijt buffet heel miniem, is zijn prijs NIET waard!!! Steeds geen aanvoer van koeken of dergelijke,slechts één yoghourt soort; bediening laat te wensen over, alle teljoren aan de bar kletsnat van de wasmachine, geen service aan de bar […] zoals het hoort, tassen voor de koffie nog vuil van vorige gebruiker, precies het Frankrijk van net na de 2de wereldoorlog: vuil en vies volledig gebrek aan hygiene, idem voor de publieke toiletten aan de ontvangst hall, wij raden dit hotel TEN ZEERSTE AF aan iedereen en wensen een credit nota van zeker de helft van de factuur zoals gemeld aan de afreken balie*** De kamers worden ook precies ook maar nooit onderzocht door een vakkundig persoon, het is niet de lui die de bedden moet maken die daarvoor onderlegd kan zijn. Ik heb dit alles ook aan de dame van de vertrek balie gemeld en die dame heeft mij beloofd om dit alles hogerop door te geven. Ik wens wel een verantwoording van het hotel over dit alles... zo iets kan niet als het Hotel VIJF sterren beweert te hebben... Op een kwartier lopen van de Eiffel toren en het dichtsbijzijnde Metro station, met uitzicht op de Seine. Een uitstekend hotel, comfortabele kamer, goede bedden, ruim gesorteerd ontbijt(buffet) en prima zwembad (badmuts verplicht!). De ligging is geweldig, je loopt zo de stad in. We vonden dit een leuk hotel met een perfecte ligging om Parijs te bezoeken. De conciërge is ook heel behulpzaam bij het opzoeken, boeken, reserveren van restaurants, spektakels, ... Vriendelijk personeel, verzorgd onbijt, net zwembad, ruime parkeergarage (betalend), een aanrader!

Great location, wonderful service and outstanding rooms. The only downside is having to go up escalators to get to reception, though there is a staff lift access for disabled customers.

The hotel is walking distance to the Eiffel tower. This was our first trip to Paris and we obviously thought being near the Eiffel tower would be the place to be, but after our trip I would probably stay more central to the other attractions. The room was pretty average.

Decent hotel in good location. We had a slight annoyance with the restaurant in that although we chose courses from the "Prix Fix" option, when we came to pay we were told we were not eligible for the set-price as we had not specified it from the outset. Also fed up with being forced to buy bottled water at €5 a time when we want to make a conscious […] effort to save the environment by not supporting the ridiculous industry that is "bottled water". On check in they had me booked for one person. I corrected this on check in for three people and was told I would be charged 15.00 per person per night. I said ok and was charged. The hotel advertised free Wi-fi. There was no Wi-Fi available in the room. Internet in the room was for a fee, so for free Wi-Fi you had to go to lobby, which was not convenient […] for business. Television did not work first two days. Food at hotel was VERY expensive. Housekeeping did not bring new towels on first cleaning. I spoke to manager and they told me to put dirty towels on floor. Second day, the wet towels were picked up and hung up, so I called for towels again and spoke to manager. Third day housekeeping did not come at all. When I complained to management he said I was lieing about how many were in my room. I told him I had corrected it at check in and gotten three room keys, and showed him the keys, but he was extremely rude. The hotel itself was in a nice neighborhood, but the ad posted on hotels.com showed a view of the Eiffel Tower. To get that view you had to leave the hotel and cross the street, when it was advertised as view from rooms. There was no room in that hotel that could give you that view. So I think hotels.com should verify the information before posting the hotel. Especially the posting of free Wi-fi and the view. Lees meer

the spa in the hotel was very small

Hotel Novotel Tour Eiffel is very close to Eiffel Tower and as such you can never miss seeing the same whenever you come out of the hotel. similarly it is just opposite the seine river and if you get a room on that side then you have an excellent view of River Seine. The room which we were allocated was very comfortable, adequately spacious, well furnished […] and service is of the highest order. Initially the room allocated to us had faulty bed but they immediately allocated to me a new room once I complained about the same. Lees meer

The services, breakfast, location, rooms, everythig was just fantastic. The rooms were very clean and had a stunnig view of the river. The lounge on the ground floor and 2nd floor was great specially the xbox - great for kids. Not the biggest buffet at breakfast but was very good and the food was great as well. Only 20 minutes away from the eiffel tower, […] but the walk to is very pleasant. Three train stations within a 15 minute walk from the hotel, so very easy access to Notredame and Disneyland specially. Service was great as well, everyone was very helpful, so don't be shy to ask! Very happy with our recent stay as a family of four with two teenagers. We had a corner room with sofa bed for the kids which was in a small annex area giving us both some privacy. Room was big but did get quite warm due to the south/west facing nature of our room and the hot weather. Local area is OK, searched on Trip Advisor for local restaurant and […] came up with some good ones. Overall very pleased with the hotel and its very helpful and friendly staff. Lees meer

It is located in about 10 min walk from Eiffel Tower. We got a room that has great view of Seine river up in 27th floor. The reason we choose this hotel is that they let 4 of us(we have two kids) stay in one room. The room was small, and they did not clean the room the second morning. The breakfast was the best I see in this trip. Close to Metro, but not on the doorstep of the metro. 10 to 12 mins walk. Central location not fat from Eiffel Tower. Our room has a good view of the Seine. For a family room, the bathroom had no lock. Toilet was separate from bathroom and no sink in the toilet, not very hygienic. Breakfast was good.

Good quality hotel. Close to the Eiffel Tower with a view onto the Seine. Short distance to RER/metro but walk along busy road Lovely buffet breakfasy Large comfortable rooms

excellent for family holidays

The hotel is a conveniently located only a few blocks away from the Eifeel tower. Our three children were received with candy and toys (not sure if it was because it was Christmas or Novotel give toys away all year round). They had xbox station in the lobby. We had the junior suite but it was small for our family of five. As in other hotels we stayed […] during this trip to Europe, there was wifi only in the lobby and only plug in internet in the rooms. Well placed for access to the city on foot or by Metro. Rather business orientated but OK. Lots of empty space on the ground floors. Slightly odd layout but perhaps this is determined by space available to build. Room needs some slight maintenance which would have improved overall impression, missing tiles etc. but it was very clean and tidy. Definitely […] needs a chest of drawers for longer staying visitors. Provision of coffee, tea and milk was welcome although a little parsimonious. One cup per person per day. Restaurant for dinner was good although expensive - but then it is Paris. Breakfast - Scrambled eggs were awful, not real eggs. Bacon was steamed rather than fried but plentiful. I think they could do better for the price. Lovely freshly prepared fruit and lots of breads. There's a lot of building work around the hotel at the moment although that can't be helped by the management. Improvements to the frontage along the Seine by the city authorities. The hotel remains well placed for access to the city. We booked the hotel because it boasts a swimming pool but it was closed for annual maintenance the week we were there. This is an absolutely beautiful hotel close to the Eiffel Tower. It is also close to a lot of the wonderful cafe's. The stay was very enjoyable. The bed was very comfortable, as to we could never find hotels that had a nice size bed. Very Modern.Had a awesome view of the Seine River. Staff was polite and gave us a late checkout . Perfect Location and Hotel. Very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was lovely. Very friendly staff at the reception and in the restaurant. I would definitely go and stay there again.

The hotel has a great location that is within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and the Paris Riverboat rides. We were very pleased with this hotel!

Modern nice looking Hotel with large lobby in Paris. A 5-10 minute walk to Eiffel Tower. Not much in immediate surroundings. Has a small store inside. Wifi only in lobby, and gym cost way too much (should be included). Nice breakfast included in some packages. Nice staff.

The location was good - close to the Eiffel Tower but not so close. The bar was very nice - and the service was very good. There were some issues with the TV, it seemed to turn off itselt. It was nice having a hot water heater, with tea & coffee in the room

We really enjoyed our stay with the Novotel, the staff couldnot have been more accomodating. We were highly impressed with the familt petit dejeuner and the play area - more hotels should do this it's genius. You can have a relaxing breakfast whilst the children eat then play! Overall highly recommended and a great family stay

We stayed here for three nights in a family room. The hotel catered well for the family as there was a family breakfast room which not only had loads of choice but they also provided toys and books in the middle for the kids to use and an x-box with an interactive game. There was also an x-box in the reception area with two child friendly games and […] two computers available to all which allowed you 20 minutes free access to the internet. There was sometimes a queue but it didn't take long to be able to use them. The hotel also provided three running routes 6k, 8k &10k and hired out garmin watches so you could measure how well you were doing. Fantastic idea. There is a swimming pool which was fine, a little busy when we used it but ok. Don't forget to take your swimming caps! The room itself was big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids aged 5 & 7 years. It was good having a seperate toilet but the bathroom was a let down. We didn't get very warm water in the shower and it leaked all over the floor which then ran into the bedroom carpet. This wasn't just us as the carpet was wet when we checked in. The bath was fine. Overall a good hotel in a great position allowing you to explore all Paris has to offer. Lees meer

Hotel quality and location very good. Nice walk along the Seine to Eiffel Tower, and close to Metro and RER. Breakfast very good, but don't go to the overpriced, Japanese concept restaurant, extremely pricey, and not good service or quality. Go out and find a good set menu restaurant. Don't go wandering around hotel after dark, it is not in the best […] area, and there are no local bars and restaurants close to hotel. Lees meer

This Hotel is cheap (but only because we had a last minute bargain ! Do not pay full price !) - so you can't expect much. WIFI only in Ground Floor Public areas, Poole nice but in different building up many stairs. Bar great and Bar Staff great - Reception Staff arrogant, unhelpful, snobs ! I hate it when the Staff consider themselves better than the […] Guest ! Overall use the Hotel as a Base, the Restaurant is good value and Waiters are great (they are working for tips!) Location OK but you find you are always going back to the Eiffel Tower which is a good 15 minute walk as all Buses, Boats etc start from here .. The room is "functional" but that's Novotel, if you want chintz and style go to the St George 5 and pay 1,000 per night ! I would not stay again as I think there is better, but that is a decision based upon location not the Hotel itself which was OK for the money, after all you are in Paris where a coffee costs Euro5.00 and a chocolate eclair €4.50. A Budget Hotel totally ruined by the complete idiots on Reception. I have been in the Hotel and Leisure business for over 35 years, just to qualify myself. Lees meer

This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel, group of ladies taking part in 20km de paris run. Location to Eiffel tower superb....walking distance. Trocadero just over bridge, and rue St. Dominic a stroll through the Eiffle towe park, lovely for shopping or lunch. We booked 3 superior rooms incl. breakfast, I was lucky to get room 729 overlooking Seine, […] lovely big twin room, however room 726, and other friends rooms were small. Breakfast is great. Got a good deal but rack rates on display are expensive if you just walk in off the street (but who does). Staff friendly and polite this time round. The perfect location for Eiffel Tower, and taxis to all other interesting places. Metro stop just around the corner or towards the Eiffel Tower. I really like this hotel and it's magnificent. A few points that I really like is that the room is very big,and a comfortable sofa bed.

Fab location as only 10min walk from the Eiffel Tower and River Cruises so did all of the sights we wanted without having to use taxi or metro! The area around the hotel I would not like to walk round at night but with two young children this was not a problem for us. Very glad to have booked with breakfast included, but what a fab spread, continental, […] eggs, bacon, fruits, ceral, waffles... it catered for every nationality poss along with cartoons for the kids and a magician( though think childrens entertainment was just for summer) one morn could not fault it at all. Everything worked as advertised, no hidden surprises, Novotel is a chain I try to stay at because of it's consistent quality in most countries. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby, free workstations as well, but availablity is spotty due to abuse of child users.Would be nice if they had special units for children only. Overall a good experience.

It's close to Eiffel tower - metro station is about 500 m - Clean rooms - Excellent facilities. The staff was friendly and helped as a lot. Family breakfast was great.
