Was there 10 years ago and nothing has really changed. It was as clean as it could be but not maintained.

I STAYED THERE BEFORE WHEN IT WAS THE WYNDHAM HOTEL AND IT WAS IN BETTER CONDITION. BUT THIS HOTEL LOOKED VERY OLD AND RUN DOWN, ROOMS NEED UPGRADES AS FAR AS TV, BATHROOM, BED.. BUT FOR THE PRICE AND I WAS ONLY IN THERE 24 HRS.. IT WAS OK..

Hotel was at a good rate for the location. My only complaint was that the TV options were very limited and the TV could not be turned on or off with the remote.

While making the reservation online I had reserved a room with two beds. Upon arrival, particular room was not available and was advised a rollaway would have to do. Then upon arrival in the room, called to request additional towles and was rudely advised by the front desk that we had already requested and received two extra sets of towels. That was […] NOT the case. Had to have roomie call down and get the situation rendered. Hotel is showing its' age and room was honestly not that clean. Carpets were stained in many places. Fine for a business travel experience-- disappointing for a romantic getaway. Location was superb, and the Empire State South restaurant was right next door, which was nice... Room was humid and felt "wet--" no matter how low we cranked the A/C. The hotel and experience as a whole was fair at its best.

Very expensive parking fees were not identified anywhere prior to reserving the room. Had to let the bath water run for several minutes before brown, rusty water cleared up.

I think the overall hotel experience was pretty descent. I was able to book a great deal with hotels.com which made my stay a lot better. The hotel is closing in May 2012 and they are neglecting everything. TV not working, NO internet in the rooms, No hot water in the room. Very very very disappointed. If I knew it before I would not have booked it.Please remove this hotel from your selection list.Thanks

There were stains on the carpet in some areas and on the bathroom floor. The room was very comfortable, although, it would have been better if there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Lobby was gorgious looking but once you get on to the elevator, I felt like I was in getto. The room was awful too. Everything looked old. I booked several rooms for my guests. Upon arrival, the hotel said they only had 2 rooms left..then when I came to find out, I got on the phone with the hotel and told them I had my confirmation number etc and they must accommodate my guests. The gentleman told me he would get everyone in a room and somehow at that point came up with the rooms. I only […] found out the next morning, that my guests had to double up in the rooms. I can not believe I was lied to...turns out this hotel is dirty, old, run down and uncomfortable. Front Office staff were extremely helpful in orienting me not only to the amenities of hotel but to finding different restuarants, and cultural offerings in Atlanta. Good locaiton for midtown, however, the internet didn't work. Hotel is OK if you don't mind no frills. I thought it was pricey, this time around. have stayed once or twice before, so know what to expect.

Bathroom was outdated and the cold water faucet was not secured to sink. Self parking was $18 in a garage that required walking down to a flight to get to the elevator.

Parking situation is terrible, have to park 9 floors up in adjacent parking structure for $18 per night. TV chanels had loud buzzing on every station. Staff is unprofessional and apathetic. Will not stay at this hotel again.

Pros: great location cons: where to start...!! No free wifi in room: only in lobby area....bedcovers were ripped...pillows with sweat stains and no covers!! ( was replaced once notified though).... Overall looks like must have been glorious hotel of its time, but now quite run down...

Picked this hotel because of its location, and being that it was only a few blocks from the event I was going to at Park Tavern. I almost went with a cheaper hotel, but opted for this one because of the restaurant and bar that was SUPPOSED to be located in the hotel. The bar was not serving alcohol due to " licensing issues" as I was told when checking […] in. I was upset about this, but it was not the worst part of my stay. There were no light bulbs in 2 of the 3 lamps in my room. While showering, the bathtub leaked water all over the floor. $18 parking per day was not detailed in my hotels.com reservation. There was a parking deck right next to the hotel, and hotel quests are required to park on the 9th floor of the parking deck. The elevator to the parking deck only went up to level 8... Good thing we waited for 20 minutes for a luggage cart because we would have had to carry our luggage down a flight of stairs before we got to the elevator. Don't even ask for early check-in's... They don't allow it. I don't feel l got what I paid for. I would have expected this from the other hotel I looked at that was half the price. Lees meer

Perfect location to visit schools and Atlanta in general. Food options vary in its quaint neighborhood to suit all tastes and budgets. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. For Gone With the Wind fans, it's right across the street from the Margaret Mitchell house!

From the outside, the place looks amazing. Inside, it's older yet has a classy style. I had a great view of the city from my room. Only thing I didn't like was the a/c unit wouldn't get colder even though it was set to 60 degrees. It stayed at 70 the whole time.

I usually stay at hotels in a better echelon than this one but since my wife was not along for this trip I opted for something less expensive. Upon entrance to the lobby, there was a smell. The kind you get when you mop with questionable mop water. The staff was friendly and attentive enough throughout my stay. However, my room phone did not work […] despite the hotel's efforts to fix it. The hot tub was out-of-order and I could not order any movies in my room. The restaurant downstairs (Mojito) served me chicken and rice that was a few days past its prime; Do not eat at Mojito's. For the flavor and price, Atlanta has much more to offer in the way of food choices even if you seek Cuban food. On the positive side, there was a pool and workout facility. We arrived and were instantly greated by a friendly staff member. Upon arriving to our room, we were overwhelmed with the size of it and that we had floor to ceiling windows at the front to enjoy a spectacular view. The only negative was the bathroom. The was mold in the grout in the shower, the floor had water spots or something on it, and the sink […] did not drain. Also, the floor in the sleeping area had crumbs or something between the bed and the nightstand. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were so soft I wished they would have fit in my luggage! Some friends and I stayed here for one night during our mini-trip to Atlanta. It really was just a place to change clothes and sleep. However, for the price and location I was expecting something a bit more updated.

A nice location, a good price, and a shiny exterior. The inside is really outdated, some things are noticeably in need of repair. There is nothing beyond the bare necessities in this hotel, no extra miles being taken here, but that doesn't mean it was a bad experienced. Just your basic place with basic looking rooms.
