Good friendly staff and breakfeast. Their was a homeless man in the downstairs parking garage he slept five feet from my car I did not tell the staff I felt he just needed a place to sleep nothing else happen. He was gone by the time I checked out. Overall great place

This is an excellent hotel for regular business travel involving short stays. My room was up to par with a comfortable bed/pillow and very clean. The neighborhood is working class and a bit noisy so bring your ear plugs. I had a non-smoking king with whirlpool bath that was well worth the upgrade. This was a very hold in need of repair hotel. The location use to be good when we lived in the area but did not feel as safe as it use to be. We were their only one night but I was not impressed with the facility. I found bugs on the floor, bathroom was ok, the shower was the best with a lot of presser. Breakfast was a 2 out of a 5. It was a two long night discomforted. Our top ceiling were squeaking and booming footsteps from second floor. You could even heard phone rings from top or next room. Ask front desk to switch room but only second floor was available, but we have a child with us and didn't want to cost inconvenience to others thinking.....of what the hotel conditions […] would be. I stayed for 11 nights and this hotel was very adequate for my needs. They replaced my desk chair as soon as I brought it to their attention that the wheel kept falling off. They were pleasant and the room was very quiet. The hotel seemed full every day as the parking on the ground level was full but they did have lower level parking with an elevator. […] I ate breakfast every day except 2 and it was fine for the price (free). My son and I spent the night here prior to his moving into the dorms at CSU East Bay. The rooms are nice and clean. A big plus is that all rooms are accessible only through inside the hotel; many hotels in the Hayward area are motel-types in which the rooms are accessed directly from the parking area, which I think is less safe. The included breakfast […] is decent (potatoes, sausage, cereal, pastries, waffles, biscuit& gravy, fruit, juice, coffee, milk), but plan to get there well ahead of closing for the best selection. The hotel is on a busy street, and drivers are forced to exit the hotel on a different street from the entrance. The neighborhood is not pedestrian-friendly, so a car is essential. Nothing fancy, just your average hotel/motel. Continental breakfast was very poor, with cold food, dry bagels, muffins, etc. Did not have enought out for the number of guests in the hotel. A little pricey for what you get.

The bed and room were comfortable. Staff was reasonably helpful, though not overly friendly. I prefer not to stay on the first floor, as a business woman traveling along, especially in a hotel such as this one where they have sliding glass doors on the first floor. I requested to be put on a higher floor and was moved fairly quickly, though the desk […] personnel was not friendly. Breakfast is handy, and it's easy to get to from all around the east bay area. The manager lady was just the rudest person i have ever come across at a motel chain....and every morning when you go get breakfast, she watches you like a hawk and makes you feel beyond uncomfortable to even want to eat, let alone go get 2nds. .....Other then that the motel is very clean.....but the surrounding area sucks....tons of traffic all day, […] and nothing nice to look at Lees meer

I acutally liked our room a lot. The only problem is I ordered our room with the jetted tub. And the jets didn't even work.

The internet is extremely slow. It takes about 2 minutes to complete load up the yahoo home page. I can't do any business work because of this.

This was just fine and dandy. Expected to be disappointed as it was the only place with vacancies on the Easter holiday.....but it was excellent. The only thing I can say is the lady who greeted us upon our 2 p.m. arrival looked very unkept......very ungroomed......looked more like the maintenance part of the staff......Breakfast very adequate.

Overall this was a decent hotel. I liked the popcorn in the lobby every night, the room was comfortable overall, and the heater/fan unit worked better than most (once I got the temperature setting right). The hot water never ran out, and the staff seemed pretty friendly. Also - lots of outlets near the bathroom, which was really nice since I bring my […] own hot water maker (for tea) and a couple of other appliances. And the fridge was a dual-unit with a separate freezer on the top - which was really nice since I didn't have to worry about my ice cream melting or my beer freezing solid. :-) However, there were some negatives. The first was that the chair is way too low for the desk... in fact too low overall. If you are planning on doing serious desk/computer work, I would _strongly_ suggest going someplace else. Secondly, the location is busy with traffic and other noise. I had the room fan going the whole time, so it didn't bug me. Third, the underground parking is not for people with low-to the ground/sports cars. The angle at the bottom is really sharp, so I scraped pretty good the one time I parked down there. I'd suggest just using the parking spots on the street level. With those caveats, I'd have to say that I'd recommend this place - the price is right and there are lots of places to eat and shop within a short distance. It's also convenient from the freeway. A place to stay near family that is clean and always plesant to stay. Used often with family functions and never had problems. Hotel is close to hospital but not a problem rooms are soundproofed. Never had a problem.

Nice hotel. I've stayed there before and will again. It does have some street noise, but nice and clean. this time wireless was a bit slow

This hotel is in a commercial area of Castro Valley. I was there on business so it met all my needs. The hotel was clean, maintained, with a full breakfast, and friendly staff.

I stayed here for 2 weeks, after week one I had to move to the other side of the hotel due to noise. There is an Air Conditioning repair building next door, I woke up at 7 am to banging and drilling every day of the first week. If you stay here ask for the opposite side, which was just fine.

My boyfriend and I only stayed here one night, but we loved it! There were cookies at the front desk when we checked in, there was popcorn in the lobby, our room was big and comfortable, and it came with a mini fridge AND a microwave! The continental breakfast included yogurt, muffins (though they were kinda dry), bagels, fruits, waffles... not a huge […] selection but satisfactory. The outside pool seemed kind of small but the weather was pretty cold when we were there so we didn't even go in :p. Overall it was a great place to stay, not too far from San Franciso... so if we ever visit Nor Cal again, we would choose to stay here. Lees meer

Have stayed their before. This particular room had a little bit of an aged bath tub. There was a jacuzzi system. Water spigot was a bit loose and the tub was slow to fill. Avoid the lemonade in the lobby. It was very dilute and old tasting. The popcorn was good and the cookie was adequate

Very quiet & safe location. Plenty of eating establishments and grocery shopping nearby, but I found nearly everything I needed at the hotel.

Staff very friendly. Good breakfast selection, warm cookies and popcorn in the lobby. Beds were comfortable. Overall it was a good stay

I usually go to the big names such as Hilton, Sheraton and Marriot but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and modern. Great staff and got a great price on Hotels.com.

This hotel is located conveniently near several major freeways which makes getting around very easy but without any noise at all from the surroundings! The rooms are very spacious and offer many ammenities in the room that go above and beyond what I had expected. The hotel offers a wonderful continental breakfast each morning which includes fresh fruit, […] pastries, cereals, fresh made waffles, coffee, juices, etc. It was much more than I expected and the staff was so friendly. There were fresh baked Cookies sitting next to the counter in the lobby and even some popcorn. The hotel was clean and my room was wonderful. The bed was comfortable as was the rest of the room. Castro Valley is a great little place too so I loved the area.

Hotel was very clean, staff was courteous. Breakfast was meager but okay. When staying ask for the east side, we stayed on the west side and was quite noisy due to the narrow property size and proximity to the driveway on the west side.

I was more than pleasantly surprised by the comfortable room and all the goodies. The room included and iron and ironing board, hair dryer, coffee machine, microwave and frig with a freezer! Breakfast was also included and it was set up with health in mind. Very thoughtful. Granted the view was on a back ally but I had my back to the window most of […] the time. The sheets were top quality, even the little shampoo and conditioner were terrific. In fact, it was so good I'll be looking for that brand in the stores.
