i got a great price thru hotels.com, after i booked the room, i looked carefully at the reviews and saw the comments about the noise from the rooftop disco club til 3 am. i was on the 4th foor facing into courtyard. i could see why the rooms were rated noisy as the rooftop was in plain view and the noise would drop into the courtyard very easily. the […] club was open only thursday through saturday but the noise was not that bad and did not keep me awake. the room was clean but small and everything is high tech. i would definitely go back especially at the price i got from hotels.com. The hotel announced on my arrival (early in the day)that my front-facing room was unavailable and I was being given a rear-facing room (which faced a brick wall). They gave me a free breakfast as compensation but no rate reduction.

Very nice hotel in a great position for all the sights in Madrid, both the old city and the Bourbon city. Easy access to all the sights of Madrid, good rooms, nice breakfasts and good service. My only complaint is that the front of the hotel looks onto Plaza Santa Ana, which is very nice except that it is extremely noisy into the early hours on all […] nights and not just the weekend. We loved this hotel. The service was amazing and the location was second to none. The beds were possibly the most comfortable beds at any hotel that I have ever stayed at, and I travel quite often. After arriving and never had been to Madrid but a frequent visitor to Barcelona, I was excited to see what the city had to offer. In one word, construction. EVERYWHERE! Choosing Hotel ME is in my opinion, the best choice of all the hotels. It sits on a trendy plaza that has some good tapa restaurants and in close proximity to the Plaza Mayor and other […] sites. After touring the city for several days and comparing the Me with the Ritz, Westin, etc, I can say that you will not be disappointed here. Around the majority of all the other 5 star hotels was serious construction at their doorstep and nothing around ME because of its Plaza location. The room: We selected the larger upgraded/supreme room, which is worth the splurge. It is large,well appointed and located on a higher floor which helps with any noise concerns and offers views of the plaza/city and a nice breeze at night. Others, complained about the plaza's noise but the windows have a secondary insulated system to keep most of the noise out. Staff was friendly and internet was FREE. A definite recommendation. A perfect hotel for a short getaway. Fantastic location right in the centre of town. Rooms are lovely but small. Beds very comfortable, bathrooms perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would go back.

We checked in and before we ever saw our room we were told that it was very small and an upgrade was available. We checked and it was very small, even by european standards. Once we paid for the upgrade we got a nice room with a view of the square. The square was very large with lots of resaurants and bars which close very late. Once they close everyone […] moves outside and yells and parties out there, making it very hard to sleep. We may have been better off with the inside small room and no view. Great hotel, but there is a loud nightclub on the top floor. I was 4 floors below, and could hear the music in my room. I guess it's not a bad thing if you are going to Madrid to party!

our first 3 nights in spain for our honeymoon were spent at the ME and it was perfect. the room itself was tiny, but the layout was good considering, so it was totally comfortable for our needs. the lighting options were Fun, the AC worked perfectly, the bed was very comfortable, and Tema at the front desk was perfectly charming, super friendly, and […] great with recommendations. The roofdeck at night was quite a scene - but as a guest of the hotel we could avoid the lines and enjoy a great view and vibe of the trendy roofdeck bar, which was huge, and hopping in the late hours. Lovely hotel and great location just a few minutes walk from all the attractions, however the room was tiny really small, but comfortable and clean. I dont know if I would stay again as the room was too small.For the price I would expect something a little more comfortable.

The hotel is walkable to all spots within downtown Madrid. The room itself was quite small, but that is typical of a European hotel room. The staff was attentive and all spoke English. ME Madrid is a very cool hotel in a wonderful old building right on Plaza Santa Ana, which could not be more central. Rooms are not huge, but done very well and the bathrooms are great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would suggest getting a room that overlooks the plaza. I have read a couple of reviews saying that the plaza is noisy til […] about 3am...I would respond by saying the windows have double glazing so you can shut any noise out, and also the noise is happy -- people laughing and an accordion playing or a great 4 piece jazz band playing old 30's classics. If you don't want to be up late, then don't go to Spain, where nobody eats until 10.30pm! The roof bar is very trendy (like the Sky Bar in L.A.) and the music pounds...so don't get a room above the 5th floor, because then you might be driven mad! Highly recommended. Lees meer

ME Madrid was conveniently situated on a beautiful plaza within walking distance of museums and other attractions. Not to mention the beautiful views from the roof-top terrace! The staff was exceptional in their kindness and eagerness to welcome and help the foreign traveler! Thank you for a wonderful stay in Madrid!!!

The hotel is close to everything. The staff are very friendly and will try to help as much as they can. The building is art itself. The room is very clean, modern and high-tech. Location is just in perfect old center of madrid with museums and restaurants -and even train station - short walk away. Metro stations are also very close. Plaza St Anna is very lively place but there is no noise in the room.

This is a fun and central place for your visit to Madrid. It is near the old city, and all the major museums. The Rooftop Lounge is one of the hottest clubs in Madrid. and worth a visit -- and you have free entry as a hotel guest. Top quality service. I will come back here...

I couldn't have made a better choice. The hotel is situated in a central location, just a few steps from Plaza del Sol. Good-sized clean room and beds are extremely comfortable. Definitely recommend this hotel to all that are planning to go to Madrid.

This is a great hotel right on the plaza. Ten-minute walk to almost everything - museums, royal palace, sights. The rooms are very comfortable with nice beds and modern bathrooms. Our room was quiet being on the inside. The outside rooms have a view onto the plaza - though this could get noisy since the plaza is alive until 2:00am.

Great hotel for comfort and location. The view from teh terrace bar is spectacular. The service at the bar was a bit poor. Staff seemed interested only in serving Spanish tourists

Stayed at the ME, location is excellent. The hotel is very cool and has some great designs, all the staff are gorgeous and very helpful. The rooftop bar is a must visit to see how cool Madrideans go out. Enjoyed it a lot!

Hôtel très bien situé, central, accueil et personnel de réception sympathique, souriant, petit déjeuner copieux, chambre twin un peu petite mais confortable et très calme, salle de bain spacieuse. A recommander pour vos vacances !

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Hotel ME Madrid. Die Zimmer sind nicht sehr gross, aber sehr konfortabel und zweckmässig. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und vorallem sehr sehr freundlich !!Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen - muchas gracias !!

Wir haben für einen Aufpreis von 40 Euro ein wunderschönes Zimmer mit Ausblick auf die Plaza St. Ana gekriegt. Die Angestellten waren durchwegs sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend, der Zimmerservice ausgezeichnet.Einzig das Frühstück ist mit 25 Euro viel zu teuer...Volveremos!

Ungdommelig, kult og bra beliggenhet. Ikke spør betjeningen om råd. Spis på: Bar Tomate, Le cabrera eller El plato (rett over gata for hotellet).

Fantastisk hotell, som ligger veldig sentralt i Madrid. Rett utenfor døra finner man flere koselige spisesteder som holder åpent ut i de sene timer :) anbefaler alle til å besøke Mercado san Miguel som ligger 10 min gange unna. Svært marked hvor det selges mye god mat og drikke og det er topp stemning. Frokost på hotellet er også verdt å få med seg! […] Stort utvalg og behagelig stemning:) rommene er lekre, men de minste er veldig små! Be om rom med utsikt! Lees meer

Hotel muitissimo bem localizado, bonito, funcionários simpáticos e disponiveis, quarto e áreas comuns limpas. Oferecem um programa da rede Meliá, sem custos, que diminuem em 50% o valor do café da manhã que é bem gostoso. Fomos andando p quase todos os principais pontos turísticos.
