The area that this hotel is in may make you think it is almost a dive motel. However it's exactly the opposite. Not sure but the rooms look recently renovated. I feel like it's more of a 3* + room. The room is extremely clean and the bed is just as comfortable as my $1800 Sterns and Foster back home. The man at the window refused to take our hotels.com confirmation number. He was uncooperative and wouldn't let us check in. Then to top it off, he charged me for 2 rooms! I would never even think about staying here again.

This hotel wasn't in the best of neighborhoods but anywhere located in Hayward can say that. It was closed off nicely, very quiet, and extremely comfortable. I was very happy with the friendliness of the staff and the rooms were very clean. Highly recommended.

Very nice updated motel, clean and very comfortable bed, good location

I will never stay here again. Maybe not with the Day's Inn chain entirely. This hotel has a stated 2pm check-in time. I arrived with my exhausted toddler at 2:10 and was given a key to the "suite" I had a paid a premium for (suite=removal of other bed and adding a couch!), the room wasn't ready. When I asked when it would be ready, I was told housekeeping […] had several other rooms to get to first: maybe 3. Or I could have a smaller room without a refund of the price difference. The manager proceeded to yell at me and tell me it wasn't his fault, that I shouldn't expect the room on time and that I just had to deal, along with some colorful language. Only when I called Hotels.com in his lobby, while explaining to every other person who came in why I was still there, did he actually ask housekeeping to do anything about the room. We got room 201. It was so big, we could have started a day care facility in there. The only downside of it was that the distance from the bed to the TV was pretty long. I usually enjoy my stays there. It's simple, right off the freeway, clean, and the beds are really comfortable. A few more amenities (like conditioner) would be nice. Continental […] breakfast could be better...but then again, we usually wake up late and get the leftovers. Worth the money, but don't expect the Ritz. Lees meer

I have never felt so unsafe in a hotel or neighborhood. This hotel should not even have 1 star due to the bad location. Gang Bangers out walking around all night.

Within walking distance from Target and various different restaurants. Not too far from the Hayward Bart station

Location ok, free breakfast good,ideal for my 1 night stay.

This hotel is very clean with lots of pillows good and confortable bed, very clean carpet and to everything like airport shopping malls etc.

clean rooms friendly staff close to freeway but no traffic noise in room parking is a little tight for pickup trucks

The manger was very risk kick me out the hotel at 8 in the morning will never vist another days in

I honestly have to say that the "Hayward-Days Inn" is a great hotel for the price. Compared to other hotels in the area, this hotel is fairly new and the rooms are EXTREMELY CLEAN! If anybody is looking for a clean room to get a good night's rest, I definitely recommend this location.

Great hotel for cheap!

I was put in a room with one bed, even though I paid for 2. when I mentioned it to the manager who was checking me in, he said he had already charged me credit card for the other room. I asked him to refund my money and he says, no, because I booked 2 rooms. I told him that I had a reservation and he says that I booked 2 rooms. I said, no... you just […] charged me for that second room. So I called hotels.com and the agent there called the manager and straightened it all out. it shouldn't have gone that far, the manager should have looked into it when I asked him, too. So I got the suite at this hotel which was great for the price. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. There is a liquor store next door which was very convenient. The freeway is pretty close by but honestly, with the door closed, I couldn't even hear it. The staff was a very nice and polite Indian family and were very pleasant to talk to upon […] checking in and out of the hotel. There was a nice flat screen tv in the room, a couch and plenty of lighting. I couldn't be more satisfied and the cost made it that much better!!! The surrounding neighborhood wasn't great but unless you grew up in white suburbia your entire life, it's not terrible. Lees meer

The hotel is pretty average. The customer service and the personnels are very bad. It was very hard to communicate with the hotel manager. And he keeps walking around looking into people's rooms. It was kinda creepy. Don't go here.

room was clean. hotel employees very nice. loved that its next to freeway.

The clerk who checked me in never said a word. Just pointed to where to sign and the room number on the card holder. The elevator was dirty. The walkways to the room was dirty. I was on the third floor and could see the roof over the entrance way. The roof was covered in cigarette butts. That was pleasant. The towel rack in the bathroom was loose and […] the place where you could hand clothes was coming out of the wall. Windows were filthy. Bedspread looked about 20 years old. Bathroom had one towel. What can I say, it hit me the day after, my neck foot arm and face was mauled by the peskers. Was in rm 311. I am still scratching, or trying not to. Beware!!

The only drawback about the Hayward Days Inn for us was when we arrived around 10:30 p.m., there was no place to buy food / snacks near the hotel. Being that we had traveled from Hawaii (3 hr time difference...it was 7:30 p.m. in Hawaii) we were hungry. After the long travel, we didn't want to venture further into Hayward to find food.

Rooms were clean, nice and had a great TV screen with plenty of channels to watch. I was there only a short time, but it worked well for my needs.

We stayed there 3 nights. Room was very comfortable and clean, housekeeper did great job. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.

everything was fine the only thing was check in time was a 2pm I arrived @ 3:20 pm and room was just getting clean so I had wait outside for a half hour til it got clean

Rates ok and the room was a non-smoking room and there was definitely a smoke odor and no reoom freshner to take out the smell. Otherwise ok overall.

Very clean, everything worked well, staff was pleasant. Not a good neighborhood however. There must be a Hayword Airport because this is nowhere near Oakland International! Good value.

It was a little stinky in the room and needed to be aired out. It wasn't horrible in the least and it was certainly cheap but it was our 2nd to least favorite on our trip of 10 different hotels. Breakfast was good though. They had hot chocolate, muffins and waffels.

Price is decent, but neighborhood is very bad. Women should not stay alone especially @ night. It is conveniently located next to freeway though

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The flat screen tv was a pleasant surprise and the room was big enough for two people without having to be on top of each other. The surrounding area was okay but once you travel up the road a bit it's a lot nicer. I would definitely stay here again for the price […] and the convenience of being right off of the freeway. We requested for a non-smoking room. They provide us a smoking room. That's make us sick. Also the breakfast area is very small. The owner of this hotel attitude is very bad.

I made a reservation for a king bed and they gave me a queen. Then turned around and gave me a handicap room with a television that had very low volume. I couldn't hear the television because of the freeway noise and my neighbors television was loud. To make matters even worst they charge my card for 10 bucks because the towels were dirty.
