Americas Best Value Inn Clearwater in Clearwater

Was bitten by bed bugs. The drinks where expensive for such an old hotel. Otherwise location was good and hotel price is not bad at all.

Needed a inexpensive room. This had a great price and was in great shape. I would difinately stay there again.

One of the worst places I've ever stayed. The kitchenette had no dishes, silverware, etc. Continental breakfast was coffee and bagel. No fruit, juice, etc. Worst of all my year old grand baby was black on her legs and feet after crawling on the carpet. UNSATISFACTORY!

The pool was nice except for the cigarette butts along the apron. TV was good. Bed was ok. We have better lighting aboard our 60 year old sailboat. I wanted hand sanitizer after touching the filthy faucets which didn't really work anyway. I usually like to sleep in a little late. Now my husband wants to check into dumps so that I get up early. I understand an aged hotel but I cannot overlook filth. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one.

I have never written a bad review of anything. I've never thought it worth my time, however, this Hotel was AWFUL!!! We reserved a NONSmoking room... when I arrived with my two small children, they only had a SMOKING room remaining. It was dank and creepy. The carpet smelled like vomit in places and they had used some odd-scented cleanser to attempt […] to mask the dank smokey/pukey scents. They did not have a working key for my room. I had to walk back to the front desk numerous times to get new key cards to "try." Eventually, they just let me into the room and informed me not to leave it, because I would be locked out. The staff was unhelpful. There was NO BREAKFAST included. Well, I guess they tossed a package of Sarah Lee bagels on the counter next to a caraffe of burnt coffee, so maybe that was the "continental breakfast" that had been promised... DON'T Stay Here.... Do not stay here unless you absolutely have to. We booked a room with two double beds. We got a room with one king bed. Since the hotel was sold out (spring break), we could not be assigned another room. There was water in the bathtub. The remote did not work. Sunday was our 1st night and we did not get much sleep. Parties on both sides of us. A local told us later that people go there to party and smoke it up as to be caught at their own home would cause legal problems. The office staff did move us for the next night and we were able to get some sleep but not before having to change our sheets 3 times to […] get some that were clean. The motel's location was convenient and not expensive which was the main reason for us staying there. The room was very disappointing and far from clean. It should be gutted and remodeled. It apparently was a Days Inn in its former life and has not been remodeled by the current owners. Towels and linens were threadbare. The complementary newspaper (as […] advertised) is NOT complimentary. The paper machines are outside the office. The on line pictures of the property are not true to life. Do not stay here... Hotel staff was rude most of the time. Most mornings there was no breakfast put out and the coffee urns would be empty. When I called ahead before making the reservation, staff assured me the pool would be open and heated but when we arrived we were told it was closed for maintenance. the carpet was filthy ,feet were black walking on it barefoot. staff was helpful ,

We had read a lot of awful reviews so wondering what to expect. Pleasantly surprised. Nice people at the front desk. Only $5.00 for our small dog. We had nice bagels and cream cheese and coffee for breakfast. Comforty beds and room did not have an odour. I would stay there again.

This was a a great value at a great price. Comfortable and nice.

hotel was as I espected to be! not bad not excelent, but I will do stay there if needed.

OMG! This is the worst hotel we've ever stayed at!! The front desk clerk was the rudest on the planet!! We travel a lot & it used to be nice but now it's not. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Continental breakfast was a total disappointment. The first day was less than satisfactory and the second day was worse--only coffee, tea bags, hot water and oatmeal packets were offered. NOTHING ELSE.

The front desk girl was unfriendly when checking in. Looks like they just put paint to mask the nastyness of the place. The rug was disguisting! My socks were black. They asked for a $25 deposit for incidentals?! asked what that was, they said stealing towels, bringing a dog that wasnt claimed. Ridiculous. When checking out, the two men that were at […] the front were very rude, no people skills whatsoever. They called the cleaning lady to check the room to make sure no incidentals were gone. really, who would steal those nasty towels that were like wiping your body with sandpaper. Clean but outdated; Outdated bath/shower area it look dirty due to age of tile and grout, same with the sink. Furniture is old and forest green carpet is worn out. Little bit of air freshener would help..... There where rooms that look very good - better than what we had.

There is economy and there is rat hole, this was the later. Where to start? The room was dingy, the were no towels, the sheets were stained, the door lock did not work and the TV remote didn't work. This hotel is located about 5 minutes from where I had to take my daughter in Safety Harbor! The stay was pleasant. The only thing I hate about it is that the guests come & go all times of night and it is sort of annoying at times, but I will definitely return again!!!

This is an older property, but for the price it was a good value. The breakfast left much to be desired, but at least we had morning coffee. The beds were fine and the room was clean. For this price, what more can you ask?

The rooms actually looked larger on the website, but our stay was pleasant. We were travelling to Safety Harbor, which was about 5-10 minutes from where we were. We would definitely return for the price.

Stay just one night for an 80th B-day party in the area. They advertise a free C Breakfast they were out of reg. coffee and nothing else as far as donuts or a bagle, When you travel and stay 1 night and expecting a quick breakfast as light as it is,I was disapointed. Otherwise it was clean and pet friendly and we slept well.

The other reviews on this Hotel are rather deceiving, as this hotel is actually not too bad. For the price, the stay was very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable, the staff were nice and polite, and the grounds were clean. The hotel was a bit old, and the room smelled a little funky upon first entry, but I would readily recommend this place to any […] of my friends. When I arrived at the hotel, the people at the desk were very friendly, The manager even helped us with the bags upstairs. We have stayed at alot of hotels and have never had the manager help us with bags. The rooms were very clean, however they really need to update some of the furniture in the room.
