Central Railway Hotel and Apartments in Redfern

A nightmare stayed

Arrived at hotel with 4 cases but found there were no lifts, room a bit dated but only staying for 1 night and good price so didn't mind. Close to bus route into Sydney. The biggest problem was the traffic noise at night, the window or balcony door was not sound proof so sleepless night for me.

The service was very friendly & obliging. My daughter had a lovely room which would have rated highly if it were ours - it met expectations. However, the room my sister & I shared was shabby & thus did not give the impression it was clean especially the shower - needs upgrading. My sister's bed was jammed against the wall & she had real or imagined […] itches. We appreciated sitting in the quiet courtyard. The hotel is on bus routes & near the station although not absolutely central. Would have loved to give it a better review. Could really benefit from refurbishment even on a simple scale. Lees meer

For the price not too bad, although we paid for a breakfast but did not get that and the staff didn't mention it either however apart from that cheap and cheerful...

Good service. Nice staff. Helpfull beyond standard. Will definately stay there again next time.

This hotel is about 5 min walk from Central station. Convenient location with a supermarket just down the road to your left as you exit the hotel. It however has a very basic accommodation.

Any price/night not worth it! The photos are totally deceiving. The sheets were clean....that's all I can say. Also beware of shuttles to hotels not all are what they seem.

This hotel is more like a motel in the U.S. The front desk was very helpful, the room had tv, air conditioning, relatively inexpensive internet, fridge, microwave, but did not have a phone, had bars on the ground floor windows. It was clean, but there were no ice trays in the fridge. It is 2 blocks from the central railway station, but that is a fair […] long walk from the center of the city and tourist places. It was handy for a night's stay before heading to the airport, and was a good bargain. You would need to use bus or taxi service to get around the city. There's a half flight of steps up to the front entrance, so getting luggage up on your own should be considered. The neighborhood has a close convenience store and some pubs, but it is definitely more like a train station neighborhood. Lees meer

We stayed two nights. Comfortable room with amenities. Convenient for rail and bus links into city. Friendly and helpful staff. Affordable hotel.

I think it is really good deal if you share with 2 more ppls as I stayed at here for 2night with my 2 more female friends which is only 70AUD per person for 2 night. How amazing that I could find a room for 3 single bed and clean, convienent hostel IN SYDNEY!

We were very disappointed, as we had expected a queen bed and we got a twin bed room. The shower would not mix correctly Hot or Cold, the shower door was actually standind in the dinning area. We mentioned the shower problem to a member of staff and nothing happened.It was a bit of a struggle up the stairs with two suit cases. it should be mention that […] there is no lift. Its quicker to walk to the hotel from Central Railway than from Redfern. The toaster was broken and the chain locks on the doors were also broken. I told Management and they fixed one out of the 2 doors whilst we were away. Accomodation was fair to good. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again if we reurned to Sydney. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly (as were all the locals in Sydney). The hotel is convienient to Central and Redfern Rail stations (about 4-5 blocks each) and the bus line runs right across the street. Note: Central is downhill from the hotel and […] the hotel is downhill from Redfern, might make a difference if you're not used to walking hills. Public transport in Sydney is exceptional (bus, train, rail, ferry). We were three women travelling and felt safe all the time. Had we know the public transport system was so great, we would not have rented a car in Sydney. Street parking is premium, but the hotel does have secured garage space for a fee. Compared to other parking areas the hotel fee was very modest, half what downtown parking cost. We LOVED the Chick-a-licious deli at the end of Chalmers. Lees meer

The room was nicely arranged. It included a refrigerator, sink, and microwave. Nice location to town.

The hotel was clean; the staff (one person) helpful and friendly; the neighborhood nicer than we expected after riding from the airport. There were two fairly steep sets of stairs, that were rather difficult for senior citizens with heavy suitcases. The room we reserved for three people had only one real bed and two couches or hideaways. There were […] no tissues or washcloths, but there were kitchen facilities (refrigerator, microwave, dishes and silverware.) If someone were looking for a less expensive hotel in Sydney, not too far from the train station, this would be an excellent choice. It worked well for a very short stay, as we had, but would also work for a longer stay, buying your own food instead of eating out every meal, which is expensive in Sydney. The pub across the street and down a little way had excellent food at a very reasonable price...and nice people. Lees meer

Vennlig og hjelpsom betjening, kort avstand til jernbanestasjon og butikk.

Aamiasta ei kannata ottaa/maksaa etukäteen, se on pakattu valmiiksi ja sika kallis. Hotelli muuten ok. hinta/laatusuhde ok.

Huone haisi hirveän homeelle. Kylppärissä oli tehty remonttia, mutta ilmeisesti kosteusvaurioita.

notre chambre avait bien 4 couchages mais la table était pour 2 personnes. La cuisine était seulement équipé d'un micro onde, donc pas possible de faire à manger.

ALEJADO DEL CENTRO, TIENES QUE CAMINAR UNA MEDIA HORA PARA LLEGAR A LOS CENTROS TURISTICOS O TOMAR UN BUS O TAXI, LO QUE HACE QUE CON ESTOS GASTOS PUEDAS CONSEGUIR UN HOTEL SIMILAR O MAS AGRADBLE Y QUE ESTE MEJOR SITUADO.

Hyvät kulkuyhteydet Sydneyn keskustaan ja lentokentälle. Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Mukavat tilat. Miinuksena riittävän äänieristyksen puute, eli toisten asiakkaiden yö-elämä häiritsi, koska melu kuului huoneeseen.
