Best Western Plus Portage Hotel & Suites in Portage

Comfortable bed and pillows! Nice decor. Wonderful pool, especially for little kids. Breakfast is not fancy but enjoyable.

Nice hotel. Reasonable rates, Good breakfast. What more can you ask for. :)

Upon walking into the hotel, we were greeted by Amanda, the front desk check in. She was fantastic and very helpful. Awesome Amanda! The hotel lobby was very clean and had a little bar area too. There was also a 24 hour snack room(which was convenient) with frozen pizzas and snacks etc. There was also a mini Arcade room. We had the King Suite which […] was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was very nice for the price. Clean facilities, nice modern rooms, nice staff, breakfast offered was okay. Not much to choose from. The standard pastries, cereal, fruit. The only minor complaints I have is that even though the location is convenient (right off the highway) it's still not the greatest location. I almost passed it coming into […] town off the highway. The hotel is not very well lit at night. I frequently came in after dark due to the fact that I was on a business trip and my engagements ended after it got dark. Being a female travelling alone, I was kind of concerned when having to park my car and walk in a dimly light parking lot. Overall, I would stay here again. I would just know to be aware of my surrounding when coming in at night. This Best Western iss actually nicer than some Hamptons I've stayed in. Lees meer

The people there were awesome!!!! Everyone was so polite and very accomodating. The breakfast was great. The rooms were updated and very clean. Housekeeping was wonderful. We actually stayed 2 extra nights without a problem and were able to keep our same rooms. We will go back!!!

After a slight snafu with our reservation, we were offered a room upgrade and access to complimentary snacks at the snack room!!! The pools were great, the rooms were new and clean, the breakfast was great too. We will denfinantly return to this hotel:) About 7 miles from the State Dunes too........

We had an absolutely wonderful experience. We had a King bed and the mattress was super. The morning breakfast was a plus. We would definitely recommend Best Western!

Located right off the highway and easy to access, but definitely at a cost. My reservation was messed up and the first response of the staff was to charge me again, thank goodness I had my paperwork. Then was sent to a room which was not ready. After complaining they did upgrade me to a suite which was the filthiest room I had ever been in. After asking […] for the room to be cleaned again, we returned to find it in almost the same condition. On two separate occasions we asked for extra towels and were forced to get them ourselves after the front desk failed to assist. If not in town for a funeral and a jammed schedule we would have absolutely moved. Lees meer

About an hour from Wrigley Field... traffic wasn't too bad. Indiana Dunes nearby is pretty cool. Our daughter loved the indoor pool.

The room had a mini-fridge, a microwave, a flat screen TV, a newly remodeled bathroom with a modern vanity and a toilet that my six year old described as rocket-flushing. The stylish dresser with the off-set handels stuck and was a bit undersized for our family of four, but if that's the worst that can be said about the room (and it was).... The children's […] area of the pool was fun for the kids. The main section of the pool was well maintained. I would not say the hotel had three pools as listed in one description. It had one pool with a kiddie section complete with sprayers and it had a small seperate hot tub. The breakfast buffet was a nice feature, but was not well organized (i.e. waffle station seperate from the rest of food with syrup, but butter only in another section near toaster) and was constantly running out of items- including milk on day one of the stay. There was some fresh fruit, but it would benefit from more healthy options, like some yogurt. Staff was friendly, polite and helpful. The room, the halls and the pool were clean. The location is right near two highways, but we had no highway noise. The hotel next door looked a little dicey, but overall the area seemed safe. It was a nice hotel for the price and we would stay again. The online pictures did make the rooms, pool and even the entryway look bigger than they are. Lees meer

Nice hotel, no traffic noise. 15mins. to lake Michigan and 15 mins to Merrivillie. nice big rooms

Very neat. Great pool and hot tub.

The pool was beautiful but monday morning there was trash and wet diapers on the floor. The alarm next door to our room went off at midnight. Called front desk at 12:05 to please come shut it off. She stated after checking in a guest. At 12:27 my husband went down to see if he could get the key and the front dest employee was on her cell phone, no other […] guest in sight. Asked housekeeping to change sheets on our second night but the sheets were never changed in the three night stay. Dust ruffel on bed was filthy. Lees meer

This hotel has a nice pool for kids. Breakfast included (hot items available). Very clean and updated. Has a microwave and fridge in the room.

Got there just a few minutes early but was checked in with no problems. Room supplies and hotel service and staff were very friendly and hotel itself was clean and nice. My only grip may have been what sounded like an elementary school playground in the hall outside my room early in the morning. Very friendly service. Very clean. Nice variety of continental breakfast. Would definately stay there again.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the dunes...it is about as close as you can get to the West Beach for this nice of a hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Busy pool. Lots of breakfast choices. The neighborhood is not much more than a busy corner with hotels and gas stations. The hotel was better than expected. The rooms were clean and the wireless internet was easy enough for my wife to connect without my help. Location was close to RC race track and quiet.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Free hot breakfast was a nice feature. Beds were comfortable and bathroom tastefully done. Decent restaurants nearby. No complaints
