Cosmopolitan Hotel in St. Kilda

Hotel ligt dicht bij het strand van St. Kilda, leuke badplaats. Het centrum van Melbourne is makkelijk en snel bereikbaar met de tram. De tramhalte is vlakbij het hotel.

should ban smoking throughout the hotel and make parking markings clearer

The room is clean hassle free environment. The staffs are helpful and friendly.

Rooms at the front (like mine) are a little noisy, could do with double glazing on windows. But overall a great location and very satisfied.

Great location, close to transport links. Clean and tidy hotel but bed sagged into the middle which made it hard to get a good night sleep.

Best value for a VERY good price. Perfect location! Everything about my stay was satisfying. Large, clean, modern room, garden view, privacy. Very good in-room facilities eg plasma TV, opening windows. Off street parking. Welcoming service.

Hotel clean, spacious, well equipped. Very good facilities. Location to sights/activities in St Kilda excellent. But noise disturbing. Hotel "cheaply finished". Peeling paint & needs double glazing & better insulation to shield from exterior noise level.

Great position, beach up the road, resturants galore & best of all the Palais across the road. Very friendly staff. We would recomend this Hotel.

Trams noisy outside window at night, but I was tired and slept well anyway. Staff very helpful when I had trouble with tele.

An excellent stay - large studio apartment, close to everything and cleaned well everyday. Helpful staff (especially with assistance with airport transfers).

My husband and I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay during our visit to Melbourne. The location of the hotel close to beach and little restaurants and cafes was just what we wanted. And when we didn't feel like walking, there were plenty of tramstops nearby. Hubby & I stayed 2 nights with our 2 kids (5 & 6 yrs), staff were lovely & hotel perfectly located. Not a bad word to say!

Great location, service and for the price great place. Only complaint was the internet. The internet in the room did not work at all - but it should and they had trobules and once a day in the loby area we had to get a new password for the wifi for both iPhone and laptop which was a bit of a pain.

Walking distance to beach, restaurants and public transportation. Friendly hotel staff and onsite laundry. Only thing I missed was wireless internet [but they do have wired].

Great location in St. Kilda, lots going on within walking distance and extremely close to the Luna Beach tram station. Free wireless is only in the lobby, otherwise you have to get a cable from reception. Continental breakfast wasn't included, and was pretty steep in price. Also, the restaurant never seemed to be open, which was odd.

The rooms were lovely but I was not able to sleep because of the street noise. I felt like I was sleeping rough just outside the backpacker's with the tram rumbling past.

My room was fine- the bed was good; but the hotel was a bit like a motel- that is to say most of the rooms were on the first floor and entrance was from the outside. The hotel staff were very helpful; although the housekeeping staff could not speak english. Enjoyed the stay at the Cosmopolitan, the hotel is in a great location in St Kilda. The trams are right outside, the shops are down the road, heaps of eateries, the beach is across the road what more do you need.

Good price and great location to all Melbourne can offer. We will be going back next time...

Also this second time we've experienced a very positive and smooth service, No obligations. Location is beautiful, if you like a bit of liveliness. A few steps away from charming Acland St. with a strong European feel and a short walk to St. Kilda, passing the excitement of Luna Park. Trams to take you to the city, if you'd still need to....

very covienant to the palas theatre and shops,walk to the beach and restaurants. very pleasant stay with freindly helpfull staff.

Stayed there for 2 weeks for work and it was awesome hotel 1min walk for shops, restuarants and trams, and right near the beach so very good for a summer location. i would deffinently stay here again.

Great hotel, well located just off the heat of St Kilda, a few steps to trams and very helpful staff. When they couldn't get a 3rd bed set for the night, they have us a free 'petite' room.

Stayed there for 6 nights and were impressed with the service of both reception staff and room maintenance staff. Their attitude was friendly and service was prompt. Hotel room size was great for the standard double. However would be perfect if a microwave was available. Room was clean and comfortable. Location is good, takes only about 15 mins by […] tram no. 16 or no. 3 to reach the city area. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby in the St Kilda and Acland St area. However, there are some noises from the nearby pubs every night. But still bearable as we would normally fall asleep easily from the fatigue of travelling. It is the best accommodation in St.Kilda there is absolutely nothing to beat it not even the big white hotel up the road. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

hotel and room were great but we had to leave early in the morning and our car was behind an other car, the guy on duty did not have a licence and my husband had to shift this persons car before we could get ours out.

The hotel is located in the centre of St Kilda. The restaurants, supermarket and shops are within walking distance of the hotel. Rooms are spacious but no bathtub which is a bit troublesome to bathe my 2 young children. The only cons is that it can get noisy at night as there are a few pubs near the hotel. Although tiny -as expected - the room was clean and comfortable and the location perfect for a night out at The Palais. Shopping, restaurants, seaside right on the door step too. Easy to get to and free parking a bonus for country visitors!

this place is a must stay place in st kilda. the room was spotless, the service was very good and the continental breakfast was just what was needed at that time in the morning. i would not hesitate to stay here again. well done to all who have an imput to this ideal away from home place to stay.

I was charged $50 extra on my credit card despite having paid for all costs on-line and $20 cash for mini bar service. Now I have to go to the trouble of reclaiming. Not good enough.
