Prachtig hotel, buiten centrum gelegen, maar heel goed openbaar vervoer (tram, metro) in de buurt. Wij zijn een paar keer van en naar het centrum gelopen, ook goed te doen als je een beetje van lopen houdt. Verder rustige buurt met restaurantjes en supermarkt tegenover hotel. Hotel was heel goed verzorgd en vriendelijk personeel. Enig minpuntje was dat we twee ochtenden geen warm water hadden. Dit werd wel iedere keer snel opgelost. Kortom, een aanrader!

Dit hotel heeft ruime kamers met goede bedden. Het ontbijtbuffet is uitgebreid en goed verzorgd. 's Avonds doet de ontbijtzaal dienst als een modern pizza restaurant. Ons werd daar ook een welkomstdrankje aangeboden. De ligging van het hotel is gunstig voor slot Schönbrunn, maar wel wat ver van de stad. Services is verder matig; we hebben 3 keer een klacht ingediend over slecht weglopende afvoer, maar daar is niets mee gedaan. Verder een comfortabel hotel dat een goed alternatief is voor de dure hotels in het centrum.

Hoewel ik eerst skeptisch was over de locatie (ik kwam aan op sudtirolerplatz en zag één grote parkeerplaats/station), bleek dat het een prima locatie bleek te zijn. Je bent slechts twee metrostations verwijderd van Karlsplatz, waardoor je binnen 5-10 minuten in het centrum bent. Het pension zelf was erg netjes en de voorzieningen waren goed geregeld (schoon en goede wifi). De gastvrouw is erg aardig, maar haar Engels is soms minder goed dan ze doet voorkomen: Hoewel ze ja knikt, begrijpt ze soms niet wat je zegt. Dit heeft echter niet tot al te grote problemen geleid. Verder was het erg rustig, dus ik heb ook prima van de nachtrust kunnen genieten. Zeker een aanrader om te overnachten dus!

Ligging.
Graben Hotel ligt in het centrum van Wenen, op loopafstand van Graben, Kathedraal St. Stephen's en Österreichische Nationalbibliothek. In de buurt liggen ook Keizerlijk paleis Hofburg en Albertina.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel in romantische stijl biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant. Gasten krijgen gratis ontbijt. Tegen betaling kan in alle openbare ruimtes een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) worden aangeboden. Dit hotel met 4 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum en vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies en een geldwisseldienst regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een conciërgebalie, meertalig personeel en roomservice (beperkte uren).
Hotelkamers.
Graben Hotel heeft 52 kamers met een minibar en een kluis. Bij betaling van een toeslag kunnen gasten op de kamers gebruikmaken van een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) . Elke televisie heeft kanalen via de kabel. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, make-up/scheerspiegels en een föhn.
Bovendien wordt dagelijks een huishoudservice aangeboden. Op verzoek zijn voorzieningen als een telefonische wekdienst beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

De meeste toeristen die Wenen bezoeken, zullen het grootste deel van de tijd doorbrengen met het verkennen van de Innenstadt (centrum). Dit gebied wordt begrensd door de Ringstrasse en bestaat grotendeels uit voetgangersgebied met schilderachtige geplaveide straten en middeleeuwse pleinen. Het middelpunt van de stad is de gotische torenspits van de Stephansdom. Andere belangrijke bezienswaardigheden zijn het uitgestrekte Hofburg-paleis en de Spaanse rijschool.

Stayed here for a week during a work trip. Locaiton is excellent, right next to Stephansdome, pedestrian streets, and subway station.Single room was tiny, and neighborhood was quite noisy at weekend nights. Service at the hotel was great, breakfast offered was alright, but nothing special.

Splendidly central hotel with welcoming staff. The rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfast varied and copious. A fine, old-style hotel with non of the blandness of so many modern chains.

"Hotel Graben right in thecentre"
Very good hotel staff. In an inside room, no sunlight and over the kitchen and bins. Bin collection every day so noisy from 7.00 am. Over-enthusiastic vacuuming at 8.00 am., good for getting you out to see the sights and go shopping. Excellent location, never had to get transport. Needs a new carpet in the breakfast/restaurant.

Good location, next to Stephansplatz. Metro station in 100m. My room was on the 7th floor with good view over the city. Breakfast was average, no extra. The personnel was helpful. Clean rooms.

"great location but tired, shabby hotel"
It is inexplicable why this hotel has 4 stars! There is nothing inherently wrong, but I stayed at hotels like this in Vienna 30 years ago, when they weren't so expensive. The problem is that the hotel has not been updated since then, other than to add air conditioning. "Hotel Graben - Great Location and Service"
The hotel location was great, right in the middle of the high end shopping area. The breakfast was great too! There was included breakfast that included coffee, bread, cheese, spreads, eggs and cold meats. For only 2.50 euros you could have it delivered to your room! And the service was great, they helped us find clubs to go to (I highly recommend the […] prater dome and flex if you're in your early 20s.) Anyway the hotel was amazing and walking distance from everything we wanted to do. it was also about 200 feet from a subway station entrance. The one bad thing about the hotel: the beds are separate so I almost fell through the gap in the middle of the right when with my girlfriend. Not a major issue, just a tad annoying. Lees meer
"Th Graben Hotel perfectly situated for sightseeing"
We were on a very short visit to Vienna (2 nights) and wanted to see as much as possible. The Hotel Graben was perfectly situated in the centre, among all the shops, a short stroll to St. Stephens cathedral and Mozarthaus, and the underground. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, the room although quite small was perfect for the 2 of us and […] it was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty, served in the restaurant which doubles as an Italian restaurant at night. We ate there 1 night and it was lovely too. "Graben Hotel- excellent location"
My daughter and I had a fabulous three nights here. The breakfasts filled us up for most of the day ahead and we were very comfortable here. The staff were helpful and friendly and the location is terrific for a short break, allowing you to see a great deal on foot within minutes of the hotel door. We'd go back.

Very convenient location, hotel staff is so good but room is not so large , especially one with bath tub I was given had no enough space to unpack my luggage. Breakfast is also good, from 0700. Room is air-conditioned so even Summer it will be conformatble but the building is rather old, the room door is not locked autmatically, it is a small dissapointment, […] you need to lock the door both from inside when you are in the room and outside when you leave the room. "good location value for money"
Very central - good starting place for day trips and central for business. Convenient. Bedroom for one person is rather small. Breakfast okay. Would be nice to be offered wireless internet for free.
"Graben Hotel, Vienna - very central, beside Graben"
We have stayed in the Graben hotel on a number of occasions. The location is perfect - a few minutes walk from Stephensplatz underground station and on a small street off Graben. The rooms vary in size and some are really tiny. Good value, breakfast included in room price, friendly staff.

We had a very, very nice stay in the Hotel Graben. The location cannot be better and we found the staff very friendly and corteous. The building itself is quite old and our room was a little worn, small and had not much of a view, but at the same time it was perfectly adequate and clean. So we didn't mind at all, but for some that may be more important. […] The hotel had lots of character and I would prefer it over a sterile new one at any day. "So close to the main streets and metro"
Really convenient, a minutes walk to the main shopping street, and not much further to the metro station. Mattress was very squeaky, every time you rolled over it made enough noise to wake you. Good central location - right off elite shopping streets. Hotel is worn, rooms small, stuffy. However, their restaurant for dinner is excellent with great wait staff. Breakfast unremarkable.

Though the amenities of the hotel were average and older, the location was great. It is in the heart of everything. You can be out till wee hours of the morning and feel safe as you are in the main square. The double windows keep all noise out, but can get warm. The subway is very close. The staff is very helpful. I was initially disappointed in the hotel because it had a 4 star rating. This is not a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was adequate, nothing special. The room was a good size. This hotel is in a great location, but is really just an average hotel. It was pretty expensive too. However, my biggest complaint was the wireless at the hotel - it sucked - and the hotel really didn't look into it despite my numerous complaints. If you really depend on your wireless - don't stay here!

"The Graben Hotel in center of Vienna"
The location is FANTASTIC! The room was comfortable, with plenty of space (for the price). The breakfast was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful. Parking is a bit tricky, but the hotel staff were quick to help. I was pleased with the Graben, and will return.

"Perfekt lokation i Wien centrum!"
Hyggeligt mindre hotel med en perfekt lokation i centrum af Wien. Gå afstand til alt og direkte adgang til Graben samt Stephans Platz. Servicen på hotellet var super, både hvad angår room service som var der indenfor 5 minutter samt var personalet behjælpelig med at sy håndtaget fast på min kones taske indenfor 15 minutter. Morgen buffet'en var fin, […] man skal dog huske at den lukker kl 10:00 sharp! Værelset var rent og hyggeligt omend ikke luksuriøst som sådan.
