Rodeway Inn in Los Angeles

this is a perfectly good budget hotel in hollywood. the room was clean, had in-room coffee, fridge and microwave. i had the front desk call a cab for me, and when it didn't show up, they called another without my having to ask.

The room in terms of looks was pleasant. Unfortunately, the tub/shower was a nightmare. At the end of a shower, the tub water was completely full!!!! Clearly the drain was broken or needed to be snaked. Very very unhappy with that. Upon checking out, I informed the front desk and her response was "it shouldn't be working that way". She then took a phone […] call and I was left standing there feeling like I hadn't had ANY customer service whatsoever. I was not offered any discount on my room and just walked away after asking for a phone number to call regarding my stay and also asked for a comment card. I was completely unimpressed with the front office staff and, though the location is convenient, I would be extremely hesitant to stay again. Lees meer

environment is very bad. very old hotel. Breakfast was very bad, expired and rotten food. Don't waste your money.

Very convenient location to the Hollywood strip and that's about it. There were holes in the bathroom floor and molding. Travel brochures propped up the mini-fridge. I had to ask for new towels because there were ants in all the towels that were placed on the back of the toilet.

We went there because we had to go to csmc for a treatment. Never again! we needed someplace clean and warm! Never again!

The hotel might look ugly on the outside, but it looks great inside. Great TV. Great wireless internet. Nice bathroom. Free parking. Don't really have much to complain.

one of the cheapest hotels in an expensive area. perfect for our low budget trip. room needed airing out upon arrival, then it was fine. staff was great. cigarette smoking in pool courtyard was a little annoying, and the car entrance to the parking lot is a little scary. because your car has to wait in the middle of busy vine street while the gate opens. […] The staff was attentive but it's an older hotel with character, exactly what i expected when i booked it. Was very bad experience. Looks old, gross, and smells. For the continental breakfast was disappoin was only cheap bread And coffee , I ask for just or cream they told me they don't have it, with actitude >:( I'm very dissapoind with the hotel cz i booked for 3 people and we all were very upset

The hotel itself is probably about what you would expect for this price range. It is old, in need of an overhaul, but good enough for a bed to sleep in without spending time at the hotel itself. The parking lot is just large enough for the number of rooms there, so if you're the last person to arrive at the hotel on a busy night, you might only have […] one spot to park in and it will be the one with one column on each side and not easy to get into. However, you will still have a spot. The room had a cable box with plenty of channels available but, as I mentioned before, you will not want to spend much time in the hotel. The neighborhood is not the greatest, but it didn't feel unsafe either. We were in town for a concert at the Nokia Live Theater and the location was great for that, less than 10 minutes away. We arrived late and we left early and, for just a bed to sleep in, it was not bad at all. Oh, the free "breakfast" I wouldn't call it a breakfast, just some mediocre coffee and a couple of toasts; but it is enough to hold you until you make it somewhere for a real breakfast. The booking of the room was easy via hotels.com, the reviews were fair. The desk perdon never gave any kind of greeting, no smile, nothing. Yet they have promitly displayed an award by the hotel chain indicating they're friendly, distinguished....not reality. She never said much except when shoving the paper at me and indicating the need for the license […] plate #. She was rude when I asked how to activate the gate to acess the parking lot. She never said have a good nite, thanks, do you need any directions, come for the continential breakfast in the morning. I almost asked her if she was feeling well just to entice her to realize how unfriendly she was being. I only stayed for the convience and won't return. I rather spend more $$$ and be treated nicely. My wife and I are delighted with our stay, we found a little mildew around the edges of shower window we call it old building, The porch window is tin it woke us up at 3:00 am cause people are having conversation till 5:45 am,

Amazing location 5 min drive to all attractions. nice nighbour hood and spacious clean rooms. hotel is one floor so it is so friendly. and the receptionist is really nice.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This has to be the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in - and it was nowhere near cheap. The rooms are unbelievably dirty - if you walk barefoot on the carpet your foot-soles will be black as soot. There was water-damage on the walls, cobwebs on the ceiling, the toilet was dirty and the shower tap was bad. The cooler unit was leaking […] water that made the carpet wet. The parking spots are super small and the whole property has garbage strewn in different parts. Having booked and stayed in several rodeway inns, I hadn't expected this. This hotel was fairly cheap, good location with a grocery store and several restaurants next door. Our room had a weird smell that was not good. Because of this smell I would not recommend to others.

The Rodeway Inn is a "budget motel" - however it is in a great position. 10 minutes walk from Paramount Studios, 2 minutes from a convenient supermarket - microwave, fridge, ice machine - extremely helpful & friendly staff - close (within 100 metres) to restaurants & fast food outlets. We felt safe and comfortable - "Highly Recommended"

Hotel was Very cheap in price and was an ok place to stay if your just sleeping there. i was looking for just a place to sleep for a few hours and nothing more. it has no photos but its not that bad.

I arrived at my Hotel and was surprised to see the stages of the hotel's name name being changed or adding "Rodeway Inn". The service was acceptable, though it was fully booked and I could not get to my room as soon as I wanted nor could I stay in the remaining hours at the end of my stay, but it was still a nice place to rest. At first the key-card […] to my room didn't work (I noticed this happened with a few other customers) but it was quickly resolved. Sometimes it was a bit hard to understand what one of the front desk people said but it wasn't a complete misunderstanding. I had breakfast in the later hours (usually between 8 to 10 a.m.) so I could only have the tiny tubs of butter and jam with crumpets/rolls and orange juice bags, when I was actually hoping for something a bit more substantial and satisfyingly filling like cereal or real toast. I did not agree with the inclusion of doughnuts in breakfast hours. But the hotel was within walking distance of other places to have lunch and/or dinner (Subway, sushi, Peruvian, seafood, etc.). Twice a day, once in morning and once in afternoon, housekeeping would come and ask if we needed our rooms cleaned and they would do a great job when I said they could - but I think they should also try to vacuum more, because there was junk and rubbish placed under my bed from other people who had been in my room before me. The TV screen showed good quality, the bathroom was nice - though I wish they didn't replace the soap and shampoo until it was completely used up - and the windows which opened up to the street side did not keep me awake throughout the night at all. Overall, despite a few areas that need improvement, a pleasant stay and a comfortable location, especially if you enjoy a half-hour or so walk to Hollywood. Lees meer

My daughters and I stayed at this hotel and they loved it. They loved the fact that the swimming pool was like right there, even tho they did not have a chance to use it. If you are on a budget and don't mind walking a little bit this hotel is for you. The people that work there are pleasant and helpful and though the surrounding area is a little rough, walk a few blocks and you are right in the middle of downtown. Not the best place to bring a family to stay, but if you are college age or just trying to explore LA […] you couldn't find a better place. The front desk help was not very nice at all, not a welcome or thank you at all, if you have a problem the person at the desk will not treat you like a valued guest. had crappy parking, needs new carpet and bed comforters. My friend and I had been searching for a hotel to crash at after a night out in the city. We did not want any hole in the wall hotel and at this place you will get a comfy clean room with a flat screen TV at that. At the price paid you wouldn't expect much but I felt lucky I got the experience at the price I paid for. I like that they provide parking, but parking is limited. We got lucky we found parking after arriving early morning. The room was clean and comfortable, the location is fine, although not the best, overall. However, the deal killer is simply the noise level. The walls are thin and you can hear everyone around you. My girlfriend and I stayed the night here and found it clean, cozy and in a good neighborhood. Nothing dramatic about the motel except they did have a pool which was pretty cool. Friendly staff and close to where you need to go in Hollywood. I would definitely recommend staying here if your on a limited budget and want to be nearby all the Hollywood […] sites. Lees meer

This hotel isn't near any airports, but you can see the Hollywood sign from outside and the sights of Hollywood are only a small walk away. There's a grocery store right next door, which was very convenient. The room itself was OK. There was a mini fridge and microwave which was very nice. Overall, it was a decent hotel for the money spent.

this is in downtown Hollywood and close to everything, however, the room smelled, the bath tub was not clean, and the neighborhood is not what I would call a great place; I stayed here one night and then moved to a hotel 20 minutes away for less money, good neighborhood and a nice clean room.

I really enjoyed this Motel. It suited me perfectly for the 5 nights that I was there and I would surely stay there again next year. It's local is perfect. You can walk or catch a short cab ride to all of the sites in the area. It's truly right in the heart of things, but surprising very quiet at night. Slept like a baby. Major Food store and Pharmacy […] in walking distance, less than a city block. You can tell that it is an older motel, but the maintenance, upkeep and remodeling truly added to it's atmosphere. Only drawback, room didn't have a radio alarm clock like I am accustom to finding in motel rooms when I travel. But a simple phone call to the front desk to set up a wake up call and all was well. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking is free and very secure and lot can not be seen from the street unless you are really looking for it. Hotel exterior could use some work but employees and Room interiors make up for it. Basically get what you pay for. This is not a dive or a resort....walking distance to a few good restaurants and bars on vine, santa monica blvd, and sunset blvd

Nice restaurant across the street. Typical ugly Los Angeles neighborhood. Slipped and fell on entry ramp during the rain. Huge bruise ensued. BEDBUGS!!!

The hotel was conviniente , it was close to the Hollywood Boulebard , they have breakfast and the people at the front desk were very helpfu. we took the bus acroos the street from the hotel and we were in the Holywood Boulebard in 5 minutes, were we walk aroud and we took the tours and walk down the street.

I needed a place to crash for a few hours between jobs. I checked in at 5:00 am, and the keys were waiting for me. The place is clean, but the hotel is old. If all you need is to sleep for a while, then this is the place for you.

If you use the hotel only for shower and sleep, it is the perfect spot. Clean, comfy and affordable. Good location.

Neighborhood is questionable and the accomodations are vintage "used". Location and clientele; quite noisy, especially as entertainment establishments close during the night. Condition of property and surroundings have seen better days.

You get what you pay for. I would never stay here with my girl or anything like that, but me and my buddy just needed two beds to crash in after seeing music in Hollywood. Not gross, but not clean either. The dude behind the desk was nice enough and helped us with cabs. We were pretty loud late and they didn't bother us. The price was too high for the out dated decor. Yeah and the showerhead does need to be chaned out because of exstreamly hard water flow. And besides of the loud neighbors everything was OK.

Hotel was clean. No bugs. Clean pool! Quiet at night! Gated parking! Easy parking! Easy going staff! Will stay soon again! Thank you!

Good location. Basic amenities and fair price

It was cleaner than I thought it would be. It was perfect for what I needed it for. Will go there again.

It was clean, it was convenient, it was cheap... It wasn't super close to the Hollywood attractions, but still close enough to have a little walk there. (About a mile or two). Rolled into town for a last minute getaway. Super close to Hollywood and many venues/sights. Nothing spectacular. A decent bed to sleep in. We'd probably stay again.
