prima ligging. Aan de rand van echte centrum in zakendistrict. 5 min lopen van metro station, 1 a 2 haltes tot in stads centrum. Zeer ruim appartement met 2 slaapkamer, 2 badkamers en 1 woonkamer/keuken.

De kamer was netjes, wij sliepen met 4 personen in de familiekamer. 2 volwassenen en 2 kinderen (13 en 16 jaar). De kamer was niet groot, maar voor ons geen probleem omdat we vroeg weg waren en laat thuis. De knop van de wc was kapot, we hebben dit gemeld en toen we s'avonds terug kwamen was deze al gemaakt. Ontbijt was prima. Naar het centrum is +/- 10 min met de bus (opstap vlakbij hotel), daarna met de metro +/- 10 min. Echt goed te doen. Het personeel was zeer behulpzaam. Kortom een prima hotel voor een weekendje Londen.
Ligging.
Best Western The Cromwell bevindt zich in Londen, dicht bij Natuurhistorisch museum van Londen, Royal Albert Hall en Earl's Court tentoonstellingscentrum. In de buurt liggen ook Kensington Palace en Kensington-tuinen.
Accommodatievoorzieningen.
Dit pension voor zaken heeft een bar/lounge. In openbare ruimtes wordt een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) aangeboden. Dit pension met 4 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum en vergaderruimtes. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een fitnesscentrum, een conciërgebalie en gratis kranten in de lobby. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.

Best Western The Cromwell heeft 85 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een kluis en een gratis krant. Elke kamer is voorzien van een draadloze internetverbinding. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via satelliet. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn. Elke badkamer is voorzien van douches, make-up/scheerspiegels, een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen.

Het betere, residentiële Kensington staat bekend om haar paleis en haar tuinen, en om de grootste musea in South Kensington: het Natural History Museum, het Science Museum, en het V&A. Earl's Court heeft een grote keus aan budget- en middenklassehotels, die rond het congrescentrum van Earl's Court liggen. Het metrostation zorgt voor goede aansluitingen (de lijnen District en Piccadilly) met treinen naar het centrum van Londen en naar Wimbledon in het zuidwesten.

Alle hotelkamers in London zijn duur. Zo ook deze. Heel veel hotelkamers in London zijn klein. Zo ook deze. Met deze gegevens in het achterhoofd vond ik dit hotel zeer redelijk, echter alleen voor een kort verblijf. De ligging was, voor het doel van ons bezoek (diverse musea), perfect. Locatie is perfect, zeker met mooi weer. Heerlijk wandelen en sporten in Kensington Gardens en Hyde Park, geweldige cafeetjes voor ontbijt en lekkere koffies (advies: neem geen ontbijt in het hotel, maar haal dat lekker in de buurt). Prachtige omgeving, qua gebouwen, cultuur èn winkelen (Albert Hall, National Museum, Bromton road met Harrods, etc.). […] Hotelpersoneel is erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk, maar beddengoed, hoewel schoon, had wel eerder bloedvlekken erin gehad die nog zichtbaar waren. Fijn was dat we de koffers mochten achterlaten voordat we de kamer in konden en ook nadat we hadden uitgechecked, zodat we zonder bagage nog lekker van de stad konden genieten. Kamer zijn wel heel erg klein (althans die van ons) en ander nadeel: geen kaartje om aan de deur te hangen met dat we niet gestoord wilden worden, waardoor de schoonmaakster tot twee keer toe om 09:00 uur de kamer in kwam. Gezien de locatie en goede prijs/kwaliteitverhouding raad ik dit hotel wel aan en zou ik er zeker weer slapen. Lees meer

Een prima hotel, dichtbij ondergrondse en zeer centraal gelegen. De kamers zijn klein, maar comfortabel. Goed bed, goede badkamer en heel belangrijk het is schoon. Als je toch de hele dag op pad bent, is het een aanrader.

most terrible service of the reception staff I've ever had: arrogant, totally uninterested and when something went wrong (like a loud alarm went off very early in the morning, in the room!) they couldn't bother to apologize. It's not that nothing can go wrong: it's the way people deal with it, the tone of voice, if someone says sorry, I'm already ok. room […] was very clean but the horrible chemical smell of the hallway made you wonder... during our 3 day stay the lift didn't work, I bet they couldn't bother to phone a mechanic. when I checked out and they asked me if I was satisfied and I said not really and started to explain; they gave me a paper with an email address where I could write to with my complains....typical! they just couldn't be bothered... Friendly staff, great location. About 50 minutes from Heathrow via the tube. Tube station across the street with access to 3 lines. Natural History museum short walk exit left from hotel. Good eating and drinking in neighborhood. When in London we are staying here.

Found hotel to be very convenient, had an appointment next day and left bags at hotel. Staff were very helpful and gave out some useful information when we booked in. Would use the Cromwell again.

"Quiet room"
Though the hotel is on a busy road the windows are double double glazed to reduce noise from outside. Rooms are clean including the bathroom. Good WiFi access as well.

The room size was small, but I have come to expect this is in large cities. Proximity of the hotel to the Underground was fantastic, and the route spans central London to Heathrow. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a small patio with table and chairs backing onto a lovely garden. I would stay in this hotel again.

New, updated rooms. Comfortable bed and píllows. Sheets super clean. A few things were a little dusty like the remote control and toiletry. Other than that the room was spotless, clean sheets and towls. The staff is nice. Super close to subway

We were especially impressed by the helpfulness of a young member of staff who came to our room several times in his effort to find us the right remote for the television (removed by a previous guest). A genuinely nice young man.

The location across from the Gloucester Rd tube station is great, with direct access to three lines. South Kensington is a good neighborhood, though Cromwell Rd is a very busy street. "LOCATION CANNOT BE FAULTED"
Ideal location to tour Central London from without having to pay for much higher hotel rates. Underground tube station is conveniently close that it makes getting around a breeze. Only negative is size of attic room - we are only average size people but even this room size is quite a challenge.

"A nice place close to London centre"
Clean and chic, nice newly renovated bathrooms in some of the rooms with beautiful alessi interior, small bedroom and difficult corridor system, but all in all a nice hotel in a good area. Only 3 min walk to nearest underground station and 15 min ride to city centre.

"Disappointed"
Came back after a brilliant stay last year when it was just refurbished. Unfortunately the cleaning staff have stopped paying attention to detail. We found a used cotton bud on the floor, a clothes tag below the tea tray, a slice of lemon in the kettle and the tea bags weren't replenished. The maintenance didn't live up to our high expectations either […] as the basin was badly cracked. We didn't pay budget price or a lot of money for the room but I'll probably look for another place for the same amount next time. Staff were extremely friendly and the bedclothes were clean. We had a quiet room and a comfy bed but the pillows weren't very comfortable. Lees meer

First of all: The staff was great. Always helpful, answering questions and even opening doors for us at times (we had our baby daughter with us and thus her strolly). The location was also great. Just 50-100 meters from the Cloucester Road tube station, making it easy to get to the innermost parts of London. The Natural History Museum is just a few […] hundred meters to the East and the gigantic Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens a kilometer or so to the North. (We even walked to Harrods one day.) There are plenty of restaurants nearby. We can recommend the "Black & Blue" steak restaurant a bit down Gloucester Road. We had read a lot of reviews of this hotel before we made our reservation. I would like to comment on three of the things that seemed to come again and again: * Small rooms. I can say that our room was big. I mean, really big. A big bed, a sofa and two chairs, a desk... and still a lot of room for our girl to run around. Sure, we had the executive variant, but the hotel does have larger rooms if you want to pay for it. And our bathroom was really, really nice. Both a tub and a shower, with very high class on everything. * Noisy street. Yes, it was obvious that the Cromwell Road is a very busy street, and almost 24/7. We had a room facing that street and although the windows were highly insulated, they didn't manage to stop the low frequency rumblings. Not entirely anyway. I'm not surprised either, since bass sounds are very hard to stop. If you are sensitive to noises at night, I suggest you book a room that's facing inwards instead. * Breakfast. Since almost all reviews said that the breakfast was expensive and not worth the money, we always had our breakfast elsewhere. There's a Starbucks and a Waitrose (grocery store) practically across the street. But it smelled really nice from the breakfast room (hot toast, mmm!) when we went by, so we really should have tried the hotel breakfast at least once. I really enjoyed this property. It was so close to the tube and it was Picadillly Line which is the line from Heathrow. It was only 2.70 to take tube to airport. Loved that feature. Staff was very friendly. I was very impressed

We were put in the basement and we were not told that wifi could not be reached here. It was one of the reasons we had booked this hotel. The room was also very small and we found small black hairs on the soap dispenser in the shower-yuck.....

It was certainly a small room, but not unusably so, and I only needed a place to shower and sleep. One block from the Gloucester Road tube station (Picadilly, District, and Circle lines), walking distance to the Natural History Museum, and a nice neighborhood overall. Bathroom was in good shape, the carpet could have used a cleaning, and there were […] a lot of scuff marks on the wall, I'm assuming due to suitcases being hauled around in tight quarters, but I've definitely stayed in worse. The hotep is clean, quiet and convenient to much of central and west London. The staff are efficient but not overly welcoming. The room is comfortable and the space better than most hotels around. The bar area is not exactly convivial to sitting around in. I would recommend the hotel.

A friend and I recently stayed at the Great Western in London and can recommend the hotel to fellow travellers. The room was small but I'm sure most rooms in London are but for location, cleanliness and the friendly, helpful staff, the Great Western is a good choice.

Had a great room, larger than I thought it would be. The position is perfect, great area and so close to gloucester rd tube. When you are tired and just want to get to your hotel it is literally across the road. Supermarket in tube complex, easily accessible as well. Breakfast expensive tho so we didnt include it.
