Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark in Charlotte

Very pleased,after a fourteen hour flight was alowed to check-in early ,parking was a short walk, and check-out was a breeze .

Hotel was convenient to South Park Mall and within walking distance. Beds were very comfortable and slept well. Hotel Amenities listed a "spa tub" and I took this as a hotel hot tub. Not the case. I guess this means spa size tub in the room which was also stated in room amenities. This was confusing. A gilrs nite out weekend with no hot tub after a […] long day of shopping was a diappointment. Power went out in the morning in half the room including the bathroom while our friend (and birthday girl) was in the shower. I had to call the front desk 3 times about it and then they offered no compensation except for an apology. Lees meer

I can't say enough about the hotel and its staff. We didn't deal with them much, aside from checking in, but they were very hospitable. Good Southern hospitality! I went for a run one morning and the area surrounding the hotel was safe, beautiful and easily navigable. I will be staying here again.

Hotel was a great stay for a bunch of us attending an event nearby. Loved the champagne and cookies at check in! Only complaint was the breakfast the next morning. The buffet was minimal and the service was so slow that ordering off the menu wasn't even an option.

Really enjoyed our stay in Charlotte and was very comfortable at the Renaissance.

We've stayed here dozens of times over the years. Love the decor, especially the wonderful courtyard with the fire pits. Staff from the bellmen to the front desk to housekeepers are professional and very friendly. Location offers lots of choices for dining, both chain restaurants and local chef-owned places. Beautiful hotel with friendly and courteous staff at a great rate. It is close to the South Park mall and lots of great places to eat.

Check-in was fast, a little too fast. They forgot to give us the breakfast vouchers. The breakfast staff was able to take care of it with some back-and-forth communication with the front desk. DO check rate options if you're interested in enjoying the excellent buffet with custom cooked waffles and omelets. It's a little extra as a room charge but much […] more expensive if you purchase breakfast separately. Those who complained in their reviews about not having a coffee maker in the rooms probably just didn't notice it tucked away on the back of the shelf inside the cabinet next to the mini fridge. This was such a terrific hotel, I'd definitely stay there again . . . it was beautiful.

Loved the stay. The staff was great, room was nice, and loved the feel of the bar area downstairs.

My daughters and I stayed at the Renaissance for two nights for a getaway weekend. The hotel decor and atmosphere are modern and well done...having a bit of a boutique feel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel was undergoing maintenance on its electrical system (which was not communicated to us until our arrival)- meaning, the […] electricity in much of the hotel was shut off from 10-2 on the two days we were there. We planned our breakfast in order to be done in time for the shut off at 10; however, we felt rushed and, quite frankly, unwanted by the wait staff that wanted to get everything cleaned and put away....not exactly conducive to the relaxing atmosphere we were seeking. The hotel pool was nice and the exercise room was one of the best I have seen in a hotel this size. There were lots of nice touches throughout- I especially loved the Aveda products in the room and workout areas. everything was good except one thing! heater didn't work in this winter time. my whole family got cold do not stay here unless you like the cold air while you sleep

I'm not sure why this otel is 3 1/2 stars. Its a great place to stay, Its practically new the rooms are excellent and the survice is superb. I normally don't write any reviews, I really don't care for them. In this case I had to be fair. THIS HOTEL IS GREAT AND THE STAFF FANTATIC!!

Me and my spouse went to the World's Strongest Man Competition and found this hotel at a discounted price. The stay was absolutely amazing!! The front desk was helpful and assisted us in any manner. Our room was spectacular. By far the best hotel that we have ever stayed at, especially for the price. This was such an absolute refuge for us. Being Critical the signage was small to find things within the hotel,location-wise, and you have to pay for internet wehich I believe to be cheesy at this level.Otherwise it was some of the BEST stays we have had in a long time!!! Nice, quiet, safe neighborhood. Walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants & shopping. Helpful front desk staff. They recommended an excellent Indian food restaurant that delivered (even had a menu)

This hotel will WONDERFUL! From the time my husband and I checked in until we checked out we were in luxury. The rooms are great! The staff is wonderful! The hotel is beautiful! We wouldn't want to stay at any other hotel in Charlotte but here!

Walk across the street and you are in a great mall with many high end stores. 15 minutes or less to downtown on city surface streets.

The hotel is very nice, but people work at the front desk are not nice. My sister cheked in before me and I arrived later at the front desk when they were talking about my sister. Had a romantic weekend getaway with hubby in Charlotte at this hotel! It is in an amazing location right across the street from the ritzy South Park Mall and the metro station was about 10 minutes down the street. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for an anniversary getaway and had an incredible experience! Not only is this hotel gorgeous, the staff went out of their way to ensure that we had an incredible weekend. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Charlotte area!!

We were so pleased from the arrival to the departure this was a wonderful experience, the staff were so nice and the rooms were amazing. Would definately stay again. We loved it. Thanks to all of the hotel staff for making our stay that much more special.

Very nice clean hotel in the upscale area of South park. Walking distance to the Mall. Fifteen minute drive to Uptown, Charlotte.

The room was very nice. Roomy and enough space for 2 people to really relax. The only minor quirks I had was that there were only 2 ice machines, on the 3rd and 7th floor. Minor issue. The hotel was ok. The area is very nice close to Southpark mall and other restauarants. The hotel room was ok: Flat Screen TV and ok linens. My sheets were not clean and the carpet in the room was stained. For a hotel of this nature, I didnt expect to see that. Hotel is ok

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. I walked into my room and immediately smelled a strong odor. I requested to be moved. While waiting to be moved (I waited 25 minutes!), I noticed that the garbage from the last guest had not been taken out of the room.
